Here we look at some of the unusual, difficult or outright disasterous outcomes for patients caused by injectables. We speak to the injectors who managed the case and go through what happened, step by step. We'll learn about what might have been done to prevent the problem and what injectors can do in their own practice to be safer practitioners.     In Chapter 4, we discuss Hayley's experience (on the other side of the needle as a patient) when she had a temple treatment with a hybrid blend of Radiesse, Belotero Revive and saline. Too often, parents are told their child will “grow out of it.” Snoring? Normal. Grinding? Just a phase. Bedwetting? Don't worry about it. But what if those symptoms are actually red flags—and you've been dismissed over and over? In this episode of Dentistry Disrupted, Dr. Craig Clayton is joined by airway health pioneer Dr. Shereen Lim, author of Breathe, Sleep, Thrive, for a conversation that will resonate with every parent who's ever felt unheard. Dr. Lim shares how her own experience as a mom—and hearing stories from dismissed and desperate parents—drove her to write a book that connects the dots. Because parents don't need another brush-off, they need tools, information, and the confidence to trust their gut and take action. This episode is your permission slip to dig deeper. To question. To advocate. We're at a tipping point. Just over a decade ago, Dr. Lim was almost blocked from speaking at a university conference because her airway-focused approach was seen as “outside the norm.” Today, her clinic is so full she's had to close her books—and more providers are waking up to the importance of early intervention. The movement is happening, and parents like you are leading the charge.

More than one-third of adults in the U.S. report experiencing a mental health condition or substance use disorder, yet less than half receive the treatment they need due to provider shortages, high costs, and gaps in coverage. Many individuals with behavioral health needs initially seek help in emergency departments or primary care settings, often leaving without proper treatment. To address this gap, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) launched the Making Care Primary (MCP) Model in 2023, focusing on innovative solutions in eight states. A key element of this initiative is the collaborative care model—a proven, evidence-based approach that integrates behavioral health into primary care to enhance access, outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Despite its strong track record, adoption remains limited due to reimbursement and scalability challenges. In the last episode of this season of Therapy Cafe, join host and Psych Hub co-founder Marjorie Morrison, LMFT, LPCC, and Dr. Caroline Carney, President of Behavioral Health and Chief Medical Officer at Magellan Health, as they explore the principles of integrated care, delve into the collaborative care model, and examine how measurement-informed care can drive better outcomes. This episode is a must-listen for therapists and mental health professionals interested in how they can be a part of the solution to streamline care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and expand their impact within integrated health systems.  Key Learning Objectives: Describe the concept and benefits of integrated care Explain the collaborative care model, including the key providers required Examine the value of measurement-informed care If you'd like to obtain continuing education as a psychologist, counselor, social worker, or therapist you can purchase a one-year subscription to Psych Hub's training center. Have you ever wondered how much you can actually do as an SLP when it comes to dementia care? One of the most common misconceptions about dementia care in general is that not much can be done. It's a progressive disease after all, right? This is where medical SLPs can shine, and Adria Thompson, MA, CCC-SLP is here to talk about it! Adria is a dementia consultant who teamed up with an OT to create a dementia program and traveled around to different facilities to teach this program. In this week's episode of the Swallow Your Pride Podcast, Theresa and Adria explore the importance of understanding dementia stages and supporting caregivers. They address misconceptions about therapy for patients with dementia and cover recent changes in billing that allow for caregiver training without the patient present, including the potential for caregivers to receive financial support for their services.  If you support individuals with dementia and their caregivers in any capacity, you won't want to miss this episode!
