House Speaker Mike Johnson is looking to blow a $4 trillion hole in the deficit, cut back on Medicare and Medicaid, and dole out billions in tax breaks to a handful of ultra-rich Americans. He's an easy target, but that doesn't mean we should let him off the hook. The chaos within the ranks belies a bitter truth: this budget, if enacted, would be a moral and economic calamity. It would reshape our society in ways that are hard to imagine. And Mike Johnson is the kind of guy who probably knows, but doesn't care. He might be a mumbly little nerd, but he's earned his spot on the Enemies List. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hey mama, do you ever feel like your brain is running on fumes? Like no matter how much coffee you drink, the mental fog and stress just won't lift? We talk a lot about self-care for our bodies, but what about self-care for our minds?
Think of a hospital like a little city. Lots of people are there all the time, from babies being born to older folks. Unlike a mall that closes at night, a hospital is always open. It's not like they can just lock the doors and tell everyone to leave. Hospitals are busy 24/7, taking care of people at every stage of life.”It seems like things might be going a bit backward in our society. Right now, many people are facing problems with their mental health, and that can affect how things are. But, when it comes to hurting healthcare workers, it's not usually the people who have mental health issues doing it. It's other people who do that.“Cameras don't prevent crime, cameras only watch it.”

It's Valentine's Day, one of the horniest holidays on the calendar, and we're celebrating with two songs from the 1950s that illustrate an uncomfortable truth: people have always been nasty little freaks about Christmas. In the case of "Santa Claus Got Stuck in My Chimney" by Ella Fitzgerald, it's entirely listener interpreation that takes this song from silly to risqué. In "Trim Your Tree" by Jimmy Butler, however -- maybe you wouldn't call the lyrics explicit, but they are definitely intentional. The ranking music in this episode is "Molasses Molasses (It's Icky Sticky Goo)" by Ella Fitzgerald!
In this episode, I have a forthright and highly thoughtful conversation with Chronic Pain Coach, Dan Buglio, who specializes in TMS (Tension Myositis Syndrome) and Mindbody resolution. This conversation is a MUST LISTEN if you or someone you know is suffering from chronic pain or other chronic symptoms DESPITE your/their diagnosis, imaging results, surgery reports, etc. Dan has been sharing content on how to break free from chronic pain through his Pain Free You channels for over four years now, and has helped thousands resolve chronic issues that were thought of as impossible to change. His work is largely based off of TMS (pioneered by Dr. John Sarno), but has also branched off to further educate people on what he calls "perceived danger pain." While pain is not "our fault," we can unintentionally find ourselves in a cycle of chronic pain due to the information our brain is continually receiving (this also includes a large range of other symptoms such as IBS, fibromyalgia, tinnitus, vertigo, anxiety, migraine headaches, skin issues, food sensitivities, etc.). Dan's goal is to teach others how to teach their brain that they are not in danger, therefore creating safety so the brain can then operate off of good information versus misinformation and bad data. The majority of us have been programmed to think that we have to live with chronic pain/symptoms due to injury, surgery, degeneration and age, a medical diagnosis, unknown reasons, and even repressed emotional turbulence/trauma. Many of us have also medicalized our situations, believing that there is no out because we feel we have a "real problem" that cannot be solved or fixed. However, countless willing people who've led with an open mind have changed their situations due to Dan's guidance, teachings, and daily videos. Please see all the resources below!Dan's Website: PainFreeYou.comFast Start Link: http://DansFastStart.comDan on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/danbuglio/Dan on YouTube: http://DansYouTube.comDan on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PainFreeYouNow Group Program: http://PainFreeYouGroup.com Assessment Page: https://www.painfreeyou.com/startPodcast on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/well.with.vanessa/Vanessa Lopez on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thegiftofgoods/Podcast on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@IntentionallyWellPodcastPodcast on TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@well.with.vanessaVanessa's Linktree (discount links, etc.): https://linktr.ee/thegiftofgoodsEmail: intentHelp Abused and Homeless Animals In Need CUDDLY helps give animals a healthy life and a loving home. In their book, A Special Kind of Evil: The Colonial Parkway Serial Killings, authors Blaine Pardoe and Victoria Hester wrote about Alan Wade Wilmer, Sr., who was the prime suspect in the 1988 disappearance and murders of Richard Keith Call and Cassandra Hailey. He was under police survellance and fit the profile the F.B.I. had developed. An expert polygrapher administered a polygraph exam to Wilmer—and he passed. As a result he was cleared as a suspect. On January 8th, 2024, the Virginia State Police announced that through DNA, Alan Wade Wilmer Sr., who died in 2017, has been identified as the killer of David Knobling and Robin Edwards, who are extensively written about in A Special Kind of Evil, and for the killing of a nearby Hampton, Virginia woman in 1989, Teresa Lynn Howell.Blaine Pardoe joins me to discuss the latest developments in the Colonial Parkway serial killings; Alan Wade Wilmer Sr.; the F.B.I. agent who zeroed in on Wilmer—and what's next in the on-going Colonial Parkway murder investigation. A SPECIAL KIND OF EVIL: The Colonial Parkway Serial Killings and Alan Wade Wilmer Sr.—Blaine Pardoe

Recorded Future - Inside Threat Intelligence for Cyber Security
Back in May, a Russian-speaking cyber gang named Cl0p broke into MOVEit, a little-known file transfer program. They managed to steal data from some 60 million people (and counting). While the scale of the attack was impressive, what really raised eyebrows was how they did it.
