Some people like to say that God is done with Israel. But Romans 11 shows that there are some Jews that have hardened their heart, but there are also some that God has called and has chosen to be His.
Join Joe McDonald as he shares practical wisdom on how to gauge whether we're in fit spiritual condition through Steps 10 and 11 of Alcoholics Anonymous. Joe encourages us to ask ourselves if we're fighting anything or anyone, as a sign of our spiritual condition. If something is off, it's essential to check in with our Higher Power or talk to a trusted friend. He reminds us that it's easy to become complacent in our spiritual journey, but we must stay active in the spiritual program to remain free from our old habits. In Alcoholics Anonymous, Step 10 emphasizes the need for continual self-inventory, while Step 11 encourages us to deepen our relationship with our Higher Power through prayer and meditation. Joe highlights that staying spiritually fit is crucial for maintaining freedom and staying on the right path.To support and learn from journeys like Joe McDonald, please like, comment, and share. Your Focus on Yourself and not on God or Others Will Lead to a Miserable Spiritual Condition – To serve is Christ MESSAGE SUMMARY: When we show up at our church on Sunday, what is our purpose – is it to serve or to be served? Too many of us go to church seeking what the church can do for us. Our church should provide us a place to worship Jesus in Spirit and in the truth of His Word. Also, our church should provide a chance to serve others -- To serve is Christ. We will never be more like Jesus than when we are serving others. We are all serving someone, but who are we serving; are we serving ourselves or others? In Mark 10:43b-45, Jesus explains that His followers must have mind focused on service and being a servant to others: “But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”. The longer that we stay focused on ourselves and not God or others, the longer we will remain stuck in a miserable spiritual condition. To serve is Christ. TODAY'S PRAYER Lord, I praise you because your love seeks my good in any and every situation. Forgive me for the seeds that I have squandered. Soften my heart to surrender to your will in and through me. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 120). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). We are called to be individuals that live according to the knowledge of God, and God's knowledge, his wisdom, His truth, is practical. And what I mean by that is this, it impacts our life so that we can live in a way that is going to be a blessing to others. That's why we were saved, that we could have influence over others for the will of God, not for what we want, not for what we desire, but what is pleasing in regard to God's will. Join Joe McDonald as he dives into the importance of maintaining a fit spiritual condition in Steps 10 & 11 of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Joe addresses the common struggles of slipping into old habits and how quickly we can fall “asleep” spiritually when faced with daily disturbances.“And I'll show you how. Does it make sense? All right. So that's how we react so long as we keep in a fit spiritual condition. So if I'm not reacting correctly, what does that mean? There's something the matter with my spiritual condition. That's not a condemnation. It means I went back to sleep. I go back to sleep many times a day. Anytime I'm disturbed by whatever you're doing or saying, I have gone into slumber because what you're doing and saying has nothing to do with what I'm here to do for the one I serve. Does that make sense?”Joe's insights offer a practical approach to staying spiritually grounded, helping viewers recognize when they've strayed and how to realign with their spiritual purpose.Join us as Joe McDonald reads and expands on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering deeper understanding and practical advice for those on their recovery journey. In Week 4 of the Samson series, we explore the heart of Samson's actions and the deeper spiritual realities behind them. Through the stories in Judges 14 and 15, we uncover Samson's hidden motives and the hidden sins in his life. By connecting these passages with New Testament teachings like James 5:16 and 1 John 2:15-17, and Old Testament promises in Ezekiel 36, this sermon calls us to confront our inner struggles and how we often try to mask our spiritual condition. Samson's story reminds us of the dangers of allowing pride, anger, and worldly desires to rule over us. We also look to the words of Jesus in Matthew 23 to focus on cleaning the inside of our hearts, not just the outside. Join us as we reflect on how we can open our hearts to God's transforming work through the Spirit. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! It can be easier to asses our physical or mental condition, but what about your spiritual condition? Do you know the state of your relationship with God? Star's Reach, is a novel set 400 years ahead in America's neo-medieval future. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Loneliness. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Presence. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Your Focus on Yourself and not on God or Others Will Lead to a Miserable Spiritual Condition – To serve is Christ MESSAGE SUMMARY: When we show up at our church on Sunday, what is our purpose – is it to serve or to be served?
