Send us a textKatie and Bridget promise to be each other's Huckleberries as they re-watch the cowboy classic: Tombstone! It's a movie all about how when there's no sound law and order the people will go crazy, and having free access to guns will result in murders, and peaceful protests won't do shit when the crazies are still walking around free!!!!! ...We swear this movie takes place in the 1800s! Come along as we meet Wyatt Earp, a lawman who's just trying to retire to the up and coming town of Tombstone Arizona with his brothers and BFF Doc Holiday. When reckless cowboys start messing up the town, Wyatt takes the law into his own hands and basically goes on a Kill Bill inspired killing spree across the desert - with friends! It's got action, laughs, Billy Zane, a kind of love story, and most importantly mustaches. Lots and lots of mustaches. Released in 1993 (the best year for movies), it stars an insane amount of actors including: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Powers Boothe, Dana Delany, Billy Bob Thornton, and Billy Zane.
This corral isn't famous for holding cattle, but it is famous for the shootout that put this town on the map. We'll head to Tombstone,...
John Ford serves up a classic Western story telling the events of Tombstone Arizona and the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Unlike more modern depictions, My Darling Clementine is a much more soft-spoken and melancholy movie, less about the lawlessness and debauchery and more about the casualties of a modernizing West. Join Juzo and Cameron as they discuss the often told tale of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. Tired of beans, new restaurants opened in Tombstone Arizona. Nellie Cashman opened the Russ House with 600 diners on opening day. Quong Kee was considered the best cook in Arizona, opened the Can Can Restaurant and Hindquarter Cafe. Menus would rival some of the best restaurants of today. Oregon Trail food included bacon, bread, rice, coffee, pies, soup, hard tack dried meat and fresh game. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

“They are becoming legendary,” That's the refrain toward John and Merrilee as they follow Merrilee's philosophy of Love into the human condition. The conversation with Merrilee develops with John facing crack shot Merrilee in front of the Mint Bar in Tombstone Arizona. It makes little difference how fast his draw - he always pushes his shot left- into the money room. Then they disarm each other with laughter - sit down in the street and tell the sheriff to take the day off. They have a remarkably satisfying relationship with people listening and learning in 41 countries. It's John and Merrilee every day on Spotify. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/john-lacasse/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/john-lacasse/support

In the early 1870's Tombstone , AZ was just a rocky mesa in the bleak desert passed by occasionally by Indians. Then the government built a fort nearby to protect travelers. One day in 1877, Camp Huachuca Army scout and long time prospector Ed Schiefflin was turning over rocks outside the fort when he stumbled on a silver deposit. Schiefflin teamed up with two other men and staked his claim on what was to become the largest silver lode in Arizona history. Within two years Tombstone became a boomtown, featuring a bowling alley, four churches, an opera house, 110 saloons, 14 gambling halls, and numerous dance halls and brothels. Under the surface lay tensions that would explode in the famous gunfight at the OK Corral in 1881, which made legends of Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, and many others. The movies tell it one way. We tell the whole story here. New Twitter address- @1001podcast Follow Us! My best memories are of climbing into those aircraft every opportunity I had. My chance to fly came 15 years ago when my Dad and I bought a hang glider trike. When I moved to Maricops Arizona 9 years ago I was excited to find AirParamo right down the street from my house! I took one flight and was instantly hooked. After saving money for years I was able to purchase a paramotor and my journey began. In 2015 I became an assistant instructor with Mo at AirParamo and eventually ventured out on my own starting WindPirate PPG. My dad had a saddle and custom leather shop so I was already very familiar with commercial sewing. Failing to find any high quality covers on the market at the time for my paramotor I decided to make one. Others in my flight group were impressed and the orders started coming in. I began making and selling custom paramotor covers, kiting harnesses and other items. After finishing my apprenticeship with Mo in 2017, I began training and providing paramotor equipment full time by traveling to the Northwest in the summer and training in Arizona in the winter. Last year I purchased 40 acres near Tombstone Arizona to put in a full service paramotor flight Park and am currently running for Secretary of the USPPA. DID YOU WIN SOMETHING?
