This week in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Link is shipwrecked, and awakens on the mysterious Koholint Island. He meets the residents of Mabe village, and an enigmatic owl. The owl tells Link he must awaken the Wind Fish if he wishes to leave the island. There is a reward for collecting all the Mario Statuettes, it's a chamber dungeon piece and a discount at the Trendy Game. I forgot. 2. Moldorm is not the first boss to speak in the series, both Blind and Ganon has lines in A Link to the Past. He's the first to speak in this game, and all bosses will have lines which is why it struck me differently. New information: You can get bombs before Tail Cave in the Gameboy versions, you just need to acquire the shovel from the shop first. Once you have the shovel bombs will appear for sale. Bombs only appear after completing Bottle Grotto on the Switch Remake.

Nicky and Eric play our first Zelda game in this week's episode of Press any Button! The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a 1993 action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy. It is the first installment in The Legend of Zelda series for a handheld game console. the protagonist, Link, begins the game stranded on Koholint Island, a place guarded by a whale-like deity called the Wind Fish. You fight monsters and solve puzzles while searching for eight musical instruments that will awaken the sleeping Wind Fish and allow him to escape from the island. Press Any Button hosts Nicky (a new gamer) and Eric (a lifetime gamer) are a married couple who both love video games. For every video game they will discuss its past (history of the game, developers story, and fun facts), present (game play, game review and strategy), and future (will there be a sequel?? A movie?)  BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE… Every game also comes with a challenge presented by the host that chose the game. If the challenge is not completed then whoever failed has to do a video game rap! Look!  Up in the sky!  It's a bird!  It's a plane!  No, it's... it's... a giant multi-colored, winged whale with a kaleidoscopic paisley pattern all over it, that's for some reason named the Wind Fish!  Come on, how could you not see that?   For this one, we're headed back all the way to the GameBoy, and checking in on everyone's favorite green-robed (in the COLOR version), pointy-hatted, jar-smashing, rupee-stealing hero, LINK!  He's in need of some awakening, and who better to do it than Chris and Katie?  Nobody, that's who!  Katie on some retro-OG hardware (the new Nintendo Game & Watch), Chris trying out the remaster on Switch.  Time to go to...
