From Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to former President Bill Clinton to Oprah to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz accepting the Vice Presidential nomination, day three at the DNC was filled with energy and passion. Both Bill Clinton and Pete Buttigieg did not back down from speaking candidly about how America would look if Trump returned to the White House. There was a large focus on the events of January 6th. Video of the attack on the Capitol was shown to remind people, with the words “if reelected, he will never be held accountable.” Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi was introduced as the Mother of Dragons, Former President Bill Clinton said Kamala Harris would be the President of Joy and Speaker Hakeem Jeffries said Donald Trump is like an old boyfriend you broke up with who just won't go away. He said Trump is still trying to get back into a relationship with America and “bro we broke up with you for a reason!” We'll take a look at GOP efforts to put election officials in place with the intent of having them not certify election results. Former Federal Prosecutor and now defense attorney David Katz will help us make sense of the legalities involved.

In this episode of Luminary Leadership I am giving you the second half of a life and loss update. *Content Warning: Pregnancy Loss* I gently want to provide a heads-up that the following content involves discussions surrounding pregnancy loss. My intention is to share my personal experience with the utmost care and respect for those who may have experienced or are currently navigating such a loss. In this episode I am sharing my experience at the hospital after giving birth, waiting for my life saving surgery, and the perspective of healing after loss. I talk about the life-threatening complications that followed the delivery, including the excessive bleeding and the emergency surgery I had to undergo. My husband, Michael, was my advocate, standing by my side as I braced myself for the possibility that I might not make it through.During this harrowing time, I experienced a profound sense of divine peace and trust in God. I delve into the emotional and physical recovery process and how it ultimately gave me a renewed sense of purpose. This episode is a deeply personal account of resilience, faith, and the crucial role of support during the most difficult times of our lives.Episode Outline: Hospital Experience (00:02:06)Emergency Surgery (00:09:02)Emotional Moments (00:16:29)Reflection and Priorities (00:18:53)Pre-Op Chaos (00:22:45) Miraculous Recovery (00:29:44) Embracing Second Chances (00:37:08)Resources from this episode:219. This is one of the first things I learned when I was trying to get things "right" with my adolescent son. When your teenager is having an emotional tirade or a meltdown or is just stomping around the house and seems out of sorts, you need to know what to do and what to say to help them calm down and regulate their emotions. Teens are naturally emotionally reactive because of the changes taking place in their brain right now. The problem is, they have very little awareness of what they're actually feeling and very little ability to regulate those emotions (again, you can blame their brain!) So, it's your job to help them calm down and coach them through these emotional moments so they will build the emotional intelligence needed to eventually handle it on their own. You'll learn how in today's episode.Find our FREE Parenting Guides Here"I just wanted to let you know that I'm so thankful for your podcast! ...I'm so happy I discovered it!" They both find It important to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues by sharing their experiences and the several tools that have helped them cope with and ameliorate stress, anxiety, grief, and depression. Its important to note that these types of issues can affect all of us and there are several different paths towards peace or healing.
