    Ivy Insights

The Delicious City Philly podcast is a show that explores the vibrant food scene in Philadelphia. As a regular listener, I find the format of the podcast to be engaging and the hosts to be enjoyable to listen to. Each week, they discuss different owners and restaurants, providing insights into the culinary landscape of the city.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to keep me informed about what's happening in Philadelphia's food scene, especially during these times when my husband and I don't venture into the city as often. The hosts do a great job of highlighting new spots, local favorites, and seasonal experiences. They provide valuable recommendations for those looking to explore the city's culinary offerings.

However, one area where I feel this podcast could improve is by diversifying its coverage. While I appreciate hearing about well-known chefs like Vetri, Schulson, and Solomonov, it would be refreshing if they veered off the beaten path and showcased lesser-known establishments or even suburban finds. Additionally, mentioning Vetri as a transphobe raises concerns about platforming individuals with problematic views.

In conclusion, The Delicious City Philly podcast is a valuable resource for anyone interested in exploring Philadelphia's food scene. Despite some room for improvement in terms of diversifying their coverage and being mindful of who they platform, the hosts offer unique perspectives and insights that make this show worth listening to. With fall upon us, I am eager to hear more about their take on exciting new spots and seasonal bites in Philly. Cheers!
