WE DON'T JUST EXIST FOR THE PEOPLE IN THIS ROOM. WE EXIST FOR THE PEOPLE NOT HERE YET.JOHN 15:1-17“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants,[a] for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.WHAT JOHN 15 DOES FOR US. 1. INFORMS USISAIAH 5:1-2My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill.He dug it and cleared it of stones, and planted it with choice vines;he built a watchtower in the midst of it, and hewed out a wine vat in it;and he looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.“Stinking or worthless thing; or stink-berries.” JEREMIAH 2:20-21“Long ago I broke the yoke that oppressed you and tore away the chains of your slavery, but still you said, ‘I will not serve you.' On every hill and under every green tree, you have prostituted yourselves by bowing down to idols. But I was the one who planted you, choosing a vine of the purest stock—the very best. How did you grow into this corrupt wild vine?JESUS IS THE TRUE VINE.YOURSELF (PRIDE) or SOMETHING ELSE (IDOLS).We must be rooted in Him (not in Israel) if we will bear fruit for God. In the New Covenant community, our first identification is in Jesus Christ Himself, not in Israel or even in the church as such.GUZIKJOHN 15:22 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.BEING CONNECTED TO JESUS WILL GUARANTEE FRUIT AND PRUNING. THE FRUIT BEING PRODUCED IS NOT STUFF.JOHN 15:12-14 12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.2. ENCOURAGES USJOHN 15:3-53 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit,WHEN I'M CONNECTED TO JESUS, IT'S NOT A MATTER OF “IF” BUT “WHEN”.3. HUMBLES US“All our sap and safety is from Christ. The bud of a good desire, the blossom of a good resolution, and the fruit of a good action, all come from him.”JOHN TRAPP4. WARNS US JOHN 15:5-65 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. The phrasing Jesus used here was important. He didn't say, If anyone does not bear fruit he is cast out. He said, if anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out. He knows who abides and who does not, and this can't be perfectly discerned by our outward estimation of fruit.DAVID GUZIKJESUS IS WHAT WE WILL NEVER BE.

II. Special Principles for Miracle Workers1. The miracle abolishes the need for lower-order concerns. 2Since it is an illogical, or out-of-pattern, time interval by definition, the ordinary considerations of time and space do not apply.14 3I do not regard time as you do, and your space problems are not mine.15 4When you perform a miracle, I will arrange both time and space to adjust to it.2. A clear distinction between what was created and what is made is essential. 2All forms of correction (or healing) rest on this fundamental correction in level perception.3. Another way of stating the second principle is this: Never confuse right-mindedness with wrong-mindedness. 2Responding to any form of miscreation with anything except a desire to heal (or a miracle) is an expression of this confusion.4. The miracle is always a denial of this error and an affirmation of the truth. 2Only right-mindedness can correct in a way that has any real effect. 3Pragmatically, what has no real effect has no real existence. 4Its real effect, then, is emptiness. 5Being without substantial content, it lends itself to projection.165. The level-adjustment power of the miracle induces the right perception for healing.17 2Until this has occurred, healing cannot be understood. 3Forgiveness is an empty gesture unless it entails correction.18 4Without this, it is essentially judgmental rather than healing.6. Miraculous forgiveness involves only correction. 2It has no element of judgment at all. 3“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” in no way evaluates what they do.19 4It is strictly limited to an appeal to God to heal their minds. 5There is no reference to the outcome of their misthought. 6This does not matter.7. The biblical injunction “Be of one mind” is the statement for revelation readiness.20 2My own injunction “Do this in remembrance of me” is the request for cooperation in miracle working.21 3It should be noted that the two statements are not in the same order of reality, because the latter involves a time awareness, since memory implies recalling the past in the present. 4Time is under my direction, but timelessness belongs to God alone. 5In time, we exist for and with each other. 6In timelessness, we coexist with God.

THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT THE REALITY OF THIS NEW DAY IS CHALLENGING EVERY ASPECT OF OUR VALUE STANDARD. TO MAINTAIN OUR FAITH AND HOPE IN THE PROMISES OF GOD'S WORD DEMANDS WE REMAIN FOCUSED ON THE QUALITY OF SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE THAT DAILY SPEAKS TO A LIFE THAT IS HIDDEN IN CHRIST. LIVING FROM THE TRANSCENDENT DIMENSION IS THE ONLY WAY TO OVERCOME THIS REALITY OF THE FALSE NARRATIVES BEING PEDDLED IN SOCIETY. THIS MESSAGE DRAWS OUR ATTENTION AGAIN TO LIVING LIFE FROM THE PLACE DAVID CALLS THE HILL OF THE LORD. OUR HELP COMES FROM THE HILL OF THE LORD; THE PLACE OF HIS PROPHETIC VOICE AND OBJECTIVE. ONLY THOSE WHO REMAIN FOCUS FROM THIS DIMENSION OF LIFE WILL EFFECTIVELY NAVIGATE THE DAYS AHEAD. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? 2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/isaiah-phillips-akintola/message
Disciple Up Episode 202 Do I Have a Soul or Am I a Soul? Louie Marsh, 3-10-2021 Intro: This episode sparked by an e-mail from a listener named John, who wrote: Please check out my biggest and best book – Everyday in the Spirit - https://tinyurl.com/3fct42zn I was listening to a podcast called "The Bible Project" and the guys on there bring up a point about the word in Hebrew that is translated into English as "soul" doesn't really mean what we think. They say we are translating it wrong and that we don't have a soul if you translate the word correctly it means the throat. The gateway to your innermost part of your body. I am confused about what that means as far as if I go to heaven or not when I die or what Great question and indicative of a lot of what some people are saying these days about the soul and after life. So on this episode we're going to dive in and check out what some scholars say about this and how in the end the Bible Project guys and I agree, but we disagree with how to get there. Link are in the show notes to what I'll be referencing as well as a link to the Bible Project so you can listen and decide for yourself. Links: Exegetical Fallacies by D.A. In Hebrew the most basic meaning of the word is “throat.” Which seems weird to us. So how did we get “soul” from “throat”? Tim and Jon discuss. In the first part of the episode (0-12:30), Tim and Jon outline where the word “soul” comes from (Old English), and why most people think that a core teaching of the Bible is people “having souls.” Jon asks how much you can really separate the ideas of a person's “mind, soul, and body.” In the second part of the episode (12:30-41:20), Tim explains that the Hebrew word “Nephesh” is an extremely common word in the Hebrew Old Testament. It occurs over 700 times, but less than 10% of the time is it translated as “soul.” It also gets translated as “life”, “heart”, “you”, “people” and several other words. Tim outlines some famous verses in the Old Testament that use the word soul. Like Psalm 42 “ As the deer pants...My soul thirsts for you” the original meaning is Hebrew is “my throat thirsts for you.” Tim explains that the word Nephesh is designed to show the essential physicality of a person. Whereas “soul” connotes the non-physicality of a person. In the third part of the episode (41:20-end), Tim says “Nephesh” isn't just used to describe humans, but also used to describe animals and what the land produced in Genesis. “And God said ‘Let the waters teem with living Nephesh.'” The bottom line, biblically, is that people don't have souls. They are souls. They don't have “nephesh” they are “nephesh.” And the ultimate hope for Christians is not a disembodied existence living as souls, but an embodied existence living in their Nephesh. Vine's Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words. Life Usage Number: 1 Part Of Speech: Noun Strong's Number: Original Word: נֶפֶשׁ, nepesh Usage Notes: "soul; self; life; person; heart." This is a very common term in both ancient and modern Semitic languages. It occurs over 780 times in the Old Testament and is evenly distributed in all periods of the text with a particularly high frequency in poetic passages. The basic meaning is apparently related to the rare verbal form, nāpash. The noun refers to the essence of life, the act of breathing, taking breath. However, from that concrete concept, a number of more abstract meanings were developed. In its primary sense the noun appears in its first occurrence in Gen. 1:20: "the moving creature that hath life," and in its second occurrence in Gen. 2:7: "living soul." However, in over 400 later occurrences it is translated "soul." While this serves to make sense in most passages, it is an unfortunate mistranslation of the term. The real difficulty of the term is seen in the inability of almost all English translations to find a consistent equivalent or even a small group of high-frequency equivalents for the term. The kjv alone uses over 28 different English terms for this one Hebrew word. The problem with the English term "soul" is that no actual equivalent of the term or the idea behind it is represented in the Hebrew language. The Hebrew system of thought does not include the combination or opposition of the terms "body" and "soul," which are really Greek and Latin in origin. The Hebrew contrasts two other concepts which are not found in the Greek and Latin tradition: "the inner self" and "the outer appearance" or, as viewed in a different context, "what one is to oneself" as opposed to "what one appears to be to one's observers." The inner person is nepesh, while the outer person, or reputation, is shēm, most commonly translated "name." In narrative or historical passages of the Old Testament, nepesh can be translated as "life" or "self," as in Lev. 17:11: "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for [yourselves]…." Needless to say, the reading "soul" is meaningless in such a text. But the situation in the numerous parallel poetic passages in which the term appears is much more difficult. The Greek Septuagint and the Latin Vulgate both simply use the Greek and Latin equivalent "soul," especially in the Psalms. The first occurrence is in Psa. 3:2: "Many are saying of my soul, There is no deliverance for him in God" (nasb). The next occurrence is in Psa. 6:3: "And my soul is greatly dismayed; But Thou, O Lord, how long?" (nasb). In both passages the parallel contrast is between nepesh and some aspect of the self, expressed as "him" in Psa. 3:2 and not expressed but understood in Psa. 6:3. There is no distinction as to whether it appears as an "A" or "B" word in the parallelism. However, since Hebrew rejects repeating the same noun in both halves of a poetic line, nepesh is often used as the parallel for the speaker, primary personal subject, and even for God, as in Psa. 11:5: "The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence [he himself] hateth." Such passages are frequent, and a proper understanding of the word enlightens many well-known passages, such as Psa. 119:109: "My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Thy law" (nasb). The versions vary widely in their readings of nepesh, with the more contemporary versions casting widely for meanings. Usage Number: 2 Part Of Speech: Verb Original Word: נָפַשׁ, nāpash Usage Notes:Nāpash means "to breathe; respire; be refreshed." This verb, which is apparently related to the noun nepesh, appears 3 times in the Old Testament (Exod. 23:12; Exod. 31:17). The other appearance is in 2 Sam. 16:14: "And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there." Genesis 2:7 “7then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” (Genesis 2:7, ESV) “7Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the earth and blew the breath of life into his nostrils. The man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7, GW) “7And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7, ASV 1901) “7Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7, NASB95) “7And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7, KJV 1900) “7And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:7, NKJV) “7God formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive—a living soul!” (Genesis 2:7, The Message) Psalm 42:1-2 Terrible suggested translation: Like Psalm 42 “ As the deer pants...My soul thirsts for you” the original meaning is Hebrew is “my throat thirsts for you.” “1As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. 2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?” (Psalm 42:1–2, ESV) The Root Fallacy: (D.A. Carson) Soul – GW, NASB, YLT, NIV, KJV, ASV, Darby, I – HCSB, NLT, LB, The Message, Vol. 5, Page 55: “The poet compares the thirsting of his soul after God to the thirsting of a stag.” Aside from the root fallacy there's the fact this is a metaphor. The writer is comparing a deer's thirst for water need to survive with his soul's (self, inner person, etc.) need for God. The physical is contrasted with the spiritual. Literally it was never intended as “throat,” That's horrible and reflects a misunderstanding of metaphor and language as well. BOTTOM LINE: My soul is saved because I am saved! In the end I'll be reunited with my body, but that body will be changed. The bottom line, biblically, is that people don't have souls. They are souls. They don't have “nephesh” they are “nephesh.” “42So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.” (1 Corinthians 15:42–46, ESV) So yes, you ARE a soul who inhabits a body and in the end Christ will redeem both!
Joy is... growing up in a safe and loving community. These next two weeks feature the same guest, my aunt Dr. IJ Routen. Dr. Routen is a Little Rock native, though she is no stranger to the world. She has lived on both coasts and even abroad and has mastered the art of joy. Growing up with her around was very interesting. She always made good use of her nieces and nephews (and does to this day). In every encounter, there is a lesson, a goal, a reason why. Her house is full of instruments and art, and supplies to make art. There are pictures of family members and a story behind every picture. As a Black woman who grew up among Black professionals, at a time when media would want us to believe that elegance, beauty, and intellect were only things possessed by the White middle and upper classes in the early 20th Century, my aunt lived amongst the teachers, academics, doctors, postal workers and other professionals of Little Rock, AR. Her's was an experience unlike what we've been privy. I wonder why? (Indeed) When she turned 75 this past November, we had a very sobering conversation about what may come in the next 25 or so years and it was during that conversation that I realized that she is a woman who is full of joy. Life and circumstances, especially in the aftermath of all that the world has had thrown at it, have nothing on James 1:2-8: 2My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. We can all learn a little about counting it all joy. I hope you enjoy this episode. III. The Proper Use of Denial48When you are afraid of anything, you are acknowledging its power to hurt you. 2Remember that where your heart is, there is your treasure also.49 3This means that you believe in what you value. 4If you are afraid, you are valuing wrongly. 5Human understanding will inevitably value wrongly, and by endowing all human thoughts with equal power will inevitably destroy peace. 6That is why the Bible speaks of the peace of God which passeth (human) understanding.50 7This peace is totally incapable of being shaken by human errors of any kind. 8It denies the ability of anything which is not of God to affect you in any way.2 This is the proper use of denial. 2It is not used to hide anything, but it is used to correct error. 3It brings all error into the light, and since error and darkness are the same, it abolishes error automatically. 4True denial is a very powerful protective device. 5You can and should deny any belief that error can hurt you. 6This kind of denial is not a concealment device but a correction device. 7The right mind of the mentally healthy depends on it.3 You can do anything I ask. 2I have asked you to perform miracles, and have made it very clear that these are natural, corrective, healing, and universal.51 3There is nothing good they cannot do. 4But they cannot be performed in the spirit of doubt. 5You have asked yourself why you cannot really incorporate my words. 6But remember my own question before you ask yours: “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”524 The idea of cannibalism in connection with the Sacrament is a reflection of a distorted view of sharing.53 2I told you before that the word “thirst” in connection with the Spirit was used because of the limited understanding of those to whom I spoke. 3I also told you not to use it.54 4The same holds for expressions like “feeding on.” 5Symbiosis is misunderstood by the mentally ill, who do use it in that way.555 But I also told you that you must recognize your total dependence on God, a statement which you may not have liked.56 2God and the Sons He created are symbiotically related. 3They are completely dependent on each other. 4The creation of the Son himself has already been perfectly accomplished, but the creation by Sons has not. 5God created Sons so He could depend on them because He created them perfectly. 6He gave them His peace so they would not be shaken and would be unable to be deceived.6 Whenever you are afraid, you are deceived. 2Your mind is not serving your soul. 3This literally starves the soul by denying its daily bread.57 4In this connection, there is a poem about the Holy Family that says:5Where tricks of words are never said,And Mercy is as plain as bread.587 God offers only mercy. 2Your own words should always reflect only mercy, because that is what you have received and that is what you should give. 3Justice is a temporary expedient, or an attempt to teach you the meaning of mercy. 4Its judgmental side arises only because you are capable of injustice if that is what your mind makes.8 You are afraid of God’s will because you have used your own will, which He created in the likeness of His Own, to miscreate.59 2What you do not realize is that the mind can miscreate only when it is not free. 3An imprisoned mind is not free by definition. 4It is possessed, or held back, by itself. 5Its will is therefore limited, and not free to assert itself.9 It is all right to remember the past, provided you also remember that anything you suffer is because of your own errors. 2As an analogy, imagine a very young child who falls down the stairs when an adult has her arms open in welcome at the bottom of the stairs, and who then develops a totally unwarranted fear of that adult. 3The misstep which causes the child’s fall has nothing at all to do with the adult, just as your own missteps have nothing at all to do with me.10 Denial of error is a very powerful defense of truth. 2We have slowly been shifting the emphasis from the negative to the positive use of denial. 3Remember, we have already stated that denial is not a purely negative device; it results in positive miscreation.60 4That is the way the mentally ill do employ it. 5But remember this thought: Never underestimate the power of denial. 6In the service of the right mind, the denial of error frees the mind and reestablishes the freedom of the will. 7When the will is really free it cannot miscreate because it recognizes only truth.11 False projection arises out of false denial, not out of its proper use. 2My own role in the Atonement is one of true projection; that is, I can “project” (or extend) to you the affirmation of truth. 3If you project error to me (or to yourself) you are interfering with the process. 4My use of projection, which can also be yours, is not based on faulty denial. 5But it does involve the very powerful use of the denial of error.12 The miracle worker is one who accepts my kind of denial and projection, unites his own inherent abilities to deny and project with mine, and imposes them back on himself and others. 2This establishes the total lack of threat anywhere. 3Together we can then work for the real time of peace, which is eternal.
God Is Our Antidepressant. Are You Using His Medication? Psalm 42:1 - 11 1As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. 2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? 3My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 4These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng. 5Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. 6My soul is downcast within me; therefore I will remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar. 7Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. 8By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life. 9I say to God my Rock, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?” 10My bones suffer mortal agony as my foes taunt me, saying to me all day long, “Where is your God?” 11Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

Do you ever feel like the pursuit of joy is just that, a pursuit? It feels like you are on a hamster wheel but never get anywhere. You pursue joy but you never really grab it. You spend your life trying to grab something that will bring you joy only to find out that what you grab is just air. Can I give you a little hope today? Not only is joy attainable, it transcends circumstances. It's lasting. And life can be filled with incredible joy. Once you find joy in Christ you will find joy in life. Luke 2:10; John 15:9-12; Hebrews 12:2My joy is not tied to circumstances. It’s tied to the goodness of God, which never changes and never wavers. “Be thankful! Don’t let blessings stop!” Luke 17:11-19 (NLT) 「As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you. ”」 1.Jesus healed all of them 2.The thankful man got blessed twice Psalms 103:-4 (ERV) 1My soul, praise the Lord! Every part of me, praise his holy name! 2My soul, praise the Lord and never forget how kind he is! 3He forgives all our sins and heals all our sicknesses. 4He saves us from the grave, and he gives us love and compassion. 3.Let’s go to Jesus John 7:37-38 (ERV) 37The last day of the festival came. It was the most important day. On that day Jesus stood up and said loudly, “Whoever is thirsty may come to me and drink. 38If anyone believes in me, rivers of living water will flow out from their heart. That is what the Scriptures say.”

1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV) ‘FortheLorddoesnotseeas man sees;for man looks at the outward appearance, but theLordlooks at the heart.’ 2 Samuel 6:22 (NKJV) …And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight! Psalm 34:1-3 (NKJV) I will bless theLordat all times; His praiseshallcontinuallybein my mouth. 2My soul shall make its boast in theLord; The humble shall hearof itand be glad. 3Oh, magnify theLordwith me, And let us exalt His name together. Luke 19:40 (NKJV) But He answered and said to them,“I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” 1 Samuel 17:34-36 (NKJV) ‘…when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,35I went out after it and struck it, and deliveredthe lambfrom its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caughtitby its beard, and struck and killed it.’ Luke 16:10 (NKJV) He whoisfaithful inwhat isleast is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust inwhat isleast is unjust also in much. 1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of theLordof hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.” 1 Samuel 17:40-42 (NLT) He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine. 41Goliath walked out toward David with his shield bearer ahead of him,42sneering in contempt at this ruddy-faced boy. 1 Samuel 17:49-50 (NKJV) Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slungitand struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.50So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. 1 Samuel 13:14 (NKJV) …The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people… Acts 13:22 (NKJV) …He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ 2 Chronicles 16:9 (AMP) For the eyes of theLordmove to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. 1 Samuel 22:1-2 (NKJV) David therefore departed from there and escaped to the cave of Adullam.
