Billionaires are an ultra-elite social class whose numbers are growing alongside their obscene wealth while others struggle, suffer or even die. They represent a scourge of economic inequality, but how do they get away with it? A set of dangerous and deceptive inter-connected myths portrays them as a ‘force for good': -the ‘heroic billionaire' asserts they are gallant protagonists of the American Dream gone global -the ‘generous billionaire' pretends that their philanthropic efforts and personal good deeds should be lauded for generosity and benevolence -the ‘meritorious billionaire' insists that extreme wealth is a worthy reward for individual hard work and talent -the ‘vigilante billionaire' claims to be able to solve the world's biggest problems where bureaucrats and politicians have failed. Each of these myths enables billionaire wealth and power to set us back to old-style feudalism and plutocracy. Offering a trenchant critique, Stinking Rich: The Four Myths of the Good Billionaire (Policy Press, 2025)testifies to the growing international political will to take concrete actions in supporting economic justice and democratic equality. Tom Cheshire speaks to Sky's Midlands correspondent, Shamaan Freeman-Powell, who's been in the city finding out how residents are dealing with the mounting rubbish, the smell and the rats - and whether an end to the strikes is in sight. Ed Zitron is one of Silicon Valley's fiercest critics. Since A.I's arrival, Ed has virulently exposed its singular lack of intelligence, its huge energy demands, and the dangerous way its hoovering up attention and capital on nothing more than the vague promises of a couple of zealots. He joins me to reveals the myths that abound in the Valley, and the reality that everyone has run out of ideas. He explains that Big Tech is no longer run by techologists but by “barely smart” capitalists who are desperately banking on A.I. to create a new hyper growth market to pull their flailing companies out of their slumps. He walks us through the “enshittification” of tech — why things are getting worse, who's in charge, who's pretending to have ideas, and how these powerful men build up their images as geniuses rather than grossly wealthy headless chickens.Sadly, this episode was recorded before Elon's rapid takeover of the American government and China's humble popping of the A.I bubble (proving Ed right). Keir Starmer is a Stinking Hypocrite – Selling Us Out on the EU! We Should Be Aligning with the USA, NOT the EU! Labour leader Keir Starmer is at it again—proving he's a hypocrite of the highest order. From flip-flopping on Brexit to cozying up to the EU, Starmer is selling out the British people. Instead of strengthening ties with the USA, he's leading the UK back into the clutches of Brussels. Where's the commitment to British sovereignty? Where's the dedication to the Brexit vote? And if that wasn't bad enough—did you know Starmer took acting lessons during lockdown? Instead of focusing on the cost-of-living crisis, free speech, or defending British workers, he was busy polishing his public image. It's all smoke and mirrors!
Jeffrey and Brian discussed various current events, starting with the memorial service for Jimmy Carter, where Joe Biden was notably seen falling asleep. They also highlighted the successful negotiations by the dockworker union to avert a strike and the unusual situation of death row inmates refusing to sign commutation paperwork, citing their faith in the legal system. The conversation included political commentary, referencing a podcast featuring a former Illinois governor who served time in prison, and addressed Prime Minister Trudeau's decision to step down, considering its potential political ramifications. Additionally, they mentioned a court ruling related to a plea deal for the 9/11 mastermind. Brian and Jeffrey criticized the political leadership's response to the wildfires in California, particularly Mayor Karen Bass's absence during the crisis. They expressed frustration over budget cuts to fire safety measures and the allocation of funds to Ukraine instead. The discussion also included the significance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in fire departments, with skepticism about prioritizing authenticity over professionalism.

Happy middle, middle of December. You're listening to the Repco Lite Home Improvement Show sponsored by Benjamin Morin. Yeah, middle of December. Seriously, how in the world do we slow this down? We need to get together and figure that out. I'd like to pump the brakes here a little bit.Are you feeling that too? Or is it just me, you know, for me, there aren't enough hours in the day. I've got parties to plan errands to run gifts to buy so many gifts to buy and really honestly, I'm absolutely stinking at gifts this year. Stinking and it's stressing me out. Normally, normally by now I've completed all of my shopping and I've completed it brilliantly in most situations. You know, we're being honest here, no false humility, pretty brilliant when it comes to gifts. This year, this year I'm stinking. Unless I come up with some kind of inspiration, unless that strikes really, really soon, we're heading for one of those Christmases, right? I certainly wouldn't want to be my kids this year, at least not yet.Anyway, I hope you're all doing a ton better than I am. Hope you're more on top of things. Hope you're feeling really festive, really ready for what's coming and just feeling really accomplished. But just in case you're feeling a little bit of anxiety, like I am, I've got some help for you today. Uh, later, I'm going to be talking with Jeff Rietveld from Out of the Box Games in Holland and Zealand, and we're going to talk about some great games for Christmas gifts or gifts.Or family parties. So if the gift giving stress is getting to you, stick around for that. All right. That, that will help. We're also going to be diving into space heater safety, and I know that doesn't sound the most exciting, right? It doesn't sound terribly exciting, but trust me, those little heaters, They can be lifesavers in the winter, but only if you use them right.Otherwise, well, if you don't, they can, they can really cause some trouble. So we'll talk about that. And I've also got some strategies for painting in tight spaces. I am super pumped about this, this topic. I love it. It's a lot of fun. It's pretty funny. Uh, and that's coming up next. Uh, but right now let's get to the paint point for the week. And to do that, I want to circle back to the whole holiday stress thing. thing. Like I said, I've been feeling it. Maybe you've been feeling it, but here's the difference. You know, here's, here's me realizing, uh, this is me growing up a little bit. It's me realizing that I'm not the only one in the universe here.Um, the only...

Agree with #nicksaban & Paddy play more conference games instead of @utepfb no offense and we won't have these problems. @bamaseccountry had bad losses and @canesfootball had a gripe too but you can't blow a 21-0 lead @cusefootball to get a spot in the @accsports #championshipgame for the taking. @indianafootball got in because of 11 wins. @oregonfootball beat everyone and could get @ohiostatefb rematch in the quarterfinals. 12 teams a lot better than 4. @clemsonfb what a win last night. That GW FG would have been good from 60. @pennstatefball showed a lot of fight too vs Oregon. @nyknicks had won 16 straight vs @detroitpistons that ended last night. No KAT. Can't win them all is what they say. Jokic career high 56 points but @nuggets lost to @washwizards who hadn't won since October 30th. @bronny actually playing in a @nbagleague game. Oh, that pesky ol' Bill of Rights the Lefties hate so much.Dr. Jerome Corsi explores and analyzes what Kerry said, his reasons and why what he said was not only dangerous, but had revealed the true intentions of both the UN and WEF on The Truth CentralIf you would like to donate to help Dr. Corsi's and Andrew Paquette's efforts to seek out and expose corrupt algorithms in states' voter databases, visit https://www.godsfivestones.comIf you like what we are doing, please support our Sponsors:Get RX Meds Now: https://www.getrxmedsnow.comMyVitalC https://www.thetruthcentral.com/myvitalc-ess60-in-organic-olive-oil/Swiss America: https://www.swissamerica.com/offer/CorsiRMP.phpGet Dr. Corsi's new book, The Assassination of President John F.
