We're delighted to bring you another Better Man interview - we're joined by singer Adam Tucker, who provided vocals for Robbie Williams in the film. Adam tells us about the unique way he secured the role and explains why it was necessary to have someone younger sing some of Robbie's vocals, to match the Robbie reflected in the film. He discusses the integration of CGI and the unique experience of blending his singing with Jonno Davies's portrayal of Robbie, before WETA worked their special effects magic to create the finished movie.Adam even shares details of some voice notes he received from Rob of previously unrecorded songs, to help him capture the essence of Robbie. Where does ideation end and production begin? This episode is part of a series of conversations I've been having in partnership with the Cannes Lion Festival of Creativity. Over the last few weeks, I've been focusing my study of leadership through a single lens, the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Creative Industries. This final interview is with David Rolfe, the Global Head of Production at WPP. Dave and I have known each other for more years than we care to acknowledge, and he is the most provocative and disruptive thinker about production that I know. As the week at Cannes unfolded, it became clear that this series wouldn't be complete without a conversation about production. So I asked Dave late in the week if he would sit down with me and talk about the impact of AI on production. As you may have heard in my interview with Adam Tucker, WPP has made a large investment in AI. That wasn't the reason I wanted to include Dave in this series, but it does, again, add a dimension to the conversation that helps to establish reference points as the industry navigates the disruption that AI is already bringing. I started the conversation with Dave from a simple premise. Is production dead? As you'll hear, it is most definitely not, but it will look very, very different in a very short space of time, and that change has already begun. So if any part of your future thinking about production is based on how production looked and worked a year ago, you probably need to challenge that perspective to make sure that it stands the test of time, which in today's world, we can probably define as somewhere between 12 and 24 months, I suspect. In the next episode, I'll sum up everything I've heard and seen since we started this series. In the meantime, thank you for listening.
Does your AI do what you need it to do? This episode is part of a series of conversations I've been having in partnership with the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity. Over the last few weeks, I've been focusing my study of leadership through a single lens, the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Creative Industries. I'd planned on ending the series with my interview of Sir John Hegarty, but I recorded two bonus episodes during Cannes that I felt were an important part of the conversation. Adam Tucker is the Global Account Lead at WPP for Mondelez, and he reached out to me after listening to the first few episodes in this series. He pointed out that while we were focusing on how AI will impact the process of how the creative industries work, we hadn't talked about how it is already changing the work itself. WPP has made a significant investment in AI. The press reports that it's spending about $318 million annually in WPP Open, a set of AI capabilities that are now available to its 35,000 employees around the world. Adam explained why from his perspective, this investment creates a competitive advantage. I'm not an AI expert, nor have I seen WPP Open firsthand, to pass any judgment on its capabilities, and whether it is in fact superior to other forms of AI that are publicly available. This conversation is not intended to convince you whether WPP has created a competitive advantage or not. What it does establish is one clearly differentiated benchmark in the ecosystem of AI that are now springing up across the creative industries, and therefore, it provides one measurement against which to evaluate your own relationship with artificial intelligence. I'll wrap this series this week with one more bonus episode and then a recap. In the meantime, thanks for listening.

In this episode of Gig Boss Podcast, Adam talks with his old friend and studio owner Adam Tucker, who shared valuable insights on building a recording studio, building a client base, and the role of producers in music.Key Takeaways:Building a studio requires more than just equipment. When it comes to building a client base, Tucker creates a positive atmosphere in the studio.Tucker believes that engineers can also be producers, but it's important to understand the differences between the two roles and know when to wear each hat.Adam and Adam also chop it up about how to view music you released in the past, getting the best performance from a band in the studio, whether music should be considered a "product" or "art" or both, and lots more.Signaturetone on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/signaturetonerecordingSignaturetone on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/signaturetone/?hl=en"That Dilly Dally Alley Thing" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvB6QovqyMA-------Download Gig Boss app: https://linktr.ee/gigbossJoin the Gig Boss Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gigboss-----------------------------Interested in hearing music made by our awesome guests? Adam Tucker is a die hard mountain hunter form North Georgia and today he stops by the show to talk all things mountain bucks. We dive into how he has found success in the big woods, mountainous, low deer density areas of Northern Georgia, and why he hunts that terrain rather than going to other places with flatter land and more deer. Subjects: Adams Idea of "aggressive terrain", and why deer gravitate to it Hunting remote, and how he picks such specific spots in vast expanses of mountain hardwood forest Keying in on the faint trails to find the big bucks Having patience, but without overhunting a spot How careful access is a factor in his success and much more! Dave caught Adam Tucker resurrecting a bit of the debate from two years ago when Ray Ray shared a presupp Rushdoony meme and wanted to talk about it. The TAG team then continued to unpack some elements from the second Clifton Long sermon in the absence of any contact from brother Long to contend for the faith.

This episode is part of Season 2 - which we’ve sub-titled, “Leading In The Time Of Virus”. In these conversations we discover how some of the world’s most innovative and creative leaders are adapting their leadership to our new reality. These people are among the world’s best problem solvers. This episode is a conversation with Adam Tucker of Ogilvy and WPP. It was recorded just before the events in Minneapolis took place and the subsequent protests that are now spreading around the world. Leadership is not about trying to be the loudest or the toughest or the smartest. It is about caring about the people you lead. About being human. During our conversation Adam talked about three questions that he thinks have become critical. Are you okay? Are you really okay? How can we help? As the world catches fire, these questions become more important every day.
Why should we care about apologetic method? Is it really that important? Dr. Howe and Adam Tucker will recap their recent discussion on apologetic method with our friends from the T.A.G. You're It podcast.
0036 - In this episode I interview Adam Tucker from Southern Evangelical Seminary about Epistemology!! Epistemology is just the study of how we know what is real. Many people think that we can't know anything at all or that we can't know anything for certain. If that is true then we certainly can't know if Christianity is true. In this episode Adam walks us through how we know things as human beings and how we've gotten off track in our thinking of how we know things due to bad philosophy. He explains how we know things and how God knows things. If you follow Adam's arguments through to their conclusion then it means that God could not have a body and a man could never become God. This obviously has huge implications for conversations with LDS. We also touch on what Biblical Faith is at the beginning of the podcast. We discuss how it is not based on feelings or emotions but is better defined as active trust based on the evidence. All that and more in this episode!! Check out www.ses.edu for more info on Southern Evangelical Seminary and also to download the short book, "Why Trust the God of the Bible?"
Dave and Ray Ray continue to recap their discussion with Dr. Richard Howe and Adam Tucker on their "Why Do You Believe?" podcast.
With things back to normal in the studio, Dave and Ray Ray warmed up a bit with that current event, then headed to the Meme Theology Studio to discuss some bad CRT theology, and started to do some recap commentary on their discussion with Adam Tucker and Dr. Richard Howe.
With Dave in studio, in person(!), the "TAG Team" talks about the upcoming conversation with Dr. Richard Howe and Adam Tucker on Inerrancy, Philosophy, and Apologetics and review of Dave's KJVO debate.
This is the audio from Dave and Ray Ray's discussion on "Why Do You Believe?," with Adam Tucker and Dr. Richard Howe on inerrancy, philosophy, and apologetics.
0023 - In this episode I interview Adam Tucker from Southern Evangelical Seminary (www.ses.edu). Adam and I discuss one argument for God's existence that we think demonstrates God's existence. We then discuss the attributes that God must have (and must NOT have) based upon this argument. One of the things that cannot be true of God is that He has a body. Thus, this argument demonstrably shows that the embodied god (gods) of Mormonism could not exist. This discussion shows the need for good philosophy and how our philosophy can help our theology. I encourage everyone to listen to this episode and consider taking some classes at SES to further your theological and philosophical understanding.
Faced with the COVID-19 Pandemic, how should the church respond? Adam Tucker and Dr. Richard Land discussed this on our first live-streamed podcast!
Dave and Ray Ray announce that they have been challenged by Dr. Richard Howe and Adam Tucker of Southern Evangelical Seminary to discuss Inerrancy and apologetical methodology. They also do a bit of an introduction to Dr. Howe's apologetic and their differences by way of a prior like discussion with Dr. Lisle and Dr. Oliphint (link below).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HO_4gy4amAc

Adam Tucker and Dr. Richard Howe debrief on Howe's discussion with Mike Licona at this year's conference.
While everybody talks about how to start & grow a business, there’s a whole different industry out there - the business of buying businesses and completely skipping the grind part. Building a business is the best way to get rich, but to get really really rich, buying businesses is a much more predictable game. But don’t you need a lot of money for that? Not necessarily… Today’s guest is my buddy Adam Tucker who is an Australian investor, adviser and strategist for the companies he buys & supports, as well as a passionate surfer, traveler and overall good dude. He only buys and invests in companies he believes, with people he wants to be surrounded with and builds is ecosystem around that Here we discuss: Why buying companies is one of the sexiest things to create wealth and an amazing lifestyle How to make the best deals by caring about the people you’re making the deal with and giving them what they want How to double your business overnight by buying your competitor Balancing work with things you truly enjoy Without further ado, let’s dive right into it! Although episode 36 of Succotash finds us back in Studio P ("The Home of The Hit!"), it's without the benefit of our engineer/producer Joe Paulino this time. Under the unsteady hand of booth assistant Kenny Durgess, the good ship Succotash manages to make the journey through the rocky shoals of podcast clips and interviews (not to mention a new Boozin' With Bill segment) to arrive in one piece in your ears. I'd planned to have Will Durst, our Ambassador to the Middle and the funniest political comic this side of Congress, live in the studio. He's just put out a new e-book, Elect To Laugh, a collection of his syndicated newspaper columns and I figured he'd snap up the chance to plug it. This being an election year with very little time left on the clock, it’s a political comic’s busiest season so we'll have to reschedule for right after Libertarian President Gary Johnson gets sworn in. (See what I did there? It's a joke about the fact I probably will never get Will into the studio...) You can click the links here or visit http://SuccotashShow.com and look for the cover of Will's book for a link to where you can buy and download a copy. Not to mention that with close out this edition of the show with our usual Burst O' Durst. It's a big tradition in the history of Bay Area comedy, dubbed by the event's originator, the late Jose Simon, as the local comedy scene's version of a company picnic. I hung out backstage, said howdy to a bunch of comedian friends I probably won't see most of for another year, and enjoyed a rare warm and sunny summer day in Golden Gate Park. As mentioned above, show announcer Bill Haywatt stumbles into Studio P this episode to ply me with alcohol in another edition of his Boozin' With Bill segment. This time we literally are draining the dregs of this bit when he prepares the drink he calls "The Starter Kit", basing what we swill down on what he finds left in the glasses and bottles strewn around Studio P following some kind of wild party that went on there the night before we taped the show. Normally you want to follow a recipe pretty closely but, in the case of The Starter Kit, you can pretty much throw in whatever you find lying around. Here's what is in the clip set for Epi36: Fitzdog RadioGreg Fitzsimmons has a great show not just because of the fact he’s genuinely entertaining and funny, but he manages to get some great guests, including producer/director Judd Apatow who, in this clip talks about supporting comedy (being a reformed standup himself), Tweeting too much and casting his own kids in movies. The Geek GenerationRob Logan, Bryan Lipsitz and Mike Volpe are within spitting distance of their 100th Geek Generation episode - congrats, guys - and thought we'd enjoy hearing a slice of their visit with Hollywood producer and former WCW talent Jeff Katz. He tells about the mistakes that were made in regards to Deadpool's character, ultimately resulting in him leaving production of the Wolverine movie. Tiny Odd ConversationsNot just a clip from Tiny Odd Conversations this episode, but I actually Skyped it up with TOC cohost Travis Clark to dig into the detail of his upcoming Hashtag Comedy Show in Los Angeles. What started out as mostly a joke to get people to donate to his and wife Brandi's podcast has lunged out of control into a full-fledged night of comedy with the focus being on having his non-standup spouse get on stage to tell jokes. The show is on for November 11 at The Other Door in North Hollywood. And you can get free tickets just by donating to the cause! So click over to http://TOCpod.com and help joke the life our of Brandi Clark! We also play a clip from TOC feauring their first-ever celebrity chef segment with none other than Chef Eddie Vedder. Podd SocksFirst time on for a show from Down Under I haven’t heard of before, featuring a quartet of Aussie 20-somethings — Ben Dunlop, Kris Francis, Nathan Press and Jack de Zwart — sitting around and shooting the shite about "current events, pop culture, telling personal stories from their lives and analysing conspiracy theories" as their website tells it. Cashing In with TJ MillerI've featured a clip before but I’ve loved the concept for this podcast ever since host Cash Levy told it to me so I'm playing some more. It’s supposed to be a regular talk show style podcast with various guests…but every episode the guest who was scheduled never shows up and comedian/actor TJ Miller is always called to fill in. This clip finds them in a riff about going back to where you grew up to do a comedy show and the kind of reception you get from the old hometown crowd. They also coin the term "hot pods". Random Variety Show PodcastFlattery may not get you many places but it will definitely get your comedy podcast clip on this show. Especially, as in the case of friend-od-Succotash Charley Miller, who has declared that listening to our podcast is what got him psyched up to do The Random Variety Show. Charley's 17.5 episodes into his show, which originates out of San Diego, and he features interviews with various locally-based performers as well as some unusual guest...like Groucho Marx. Don’t Quit Your DaycastAnother fine fellow who’s leapt onto the podcasting soundstage recently is Ed Wallick, who’s also been venturing on the open mic stages around the Bay Area for the past couple of years. Like Charley Miller, he credits Succotash with showing him a way to do his own thing on the interwebs and it’s been fun watching him develop his format and style along the way. In this clip from DQYP, Ed teams up with Tiny Odd Conversation's Travis Clark to create Jesse vs. Jesse, a bit about battling Jesse Venturas. Venturai? The HustleCo-hosts Will Gilman and Adam Tucker run conversationally amok with a variety of guests — comedians, musicians and — I think — random dudes off the street sometimes. In this clip they have fellow comedians Harry J. Riley and Justin McNiff in the house and they’re riffing about men having a limit on the number of erections we get in our lifetimes. In addition to clips this episode, I feature Angy Robot, a cut off of the album Laser Zombie Robot Love by sci-fi/comedy musician (and past Succotash guest) John Anealio. Feel free to not only enjoy the tunage, but click over to John's site (http://JohnAnealio.com) and grab the whole album for yourself for just $5 bucks. Finally, as promised on the actual podcast, here's the artist's rendering of yours truly by Angus Doodall Tommy Royal of the Royal & Doodall podcast, luxuriating over a steaming bowl of succotash. Truly a thing of beauty to behold. I should get the original from him and auction it off. That's our show. Presented for your pleasure. (Here's joping Engineer Joe makes it back in time for the next in-studio edition of the show!) Please remember to pass the Succotash. — Marc Hershon
Welcome to Epi31 of Succotash, the Comedy Podcast Podcast. Once again, I recorded my bits from my traveling studio, AKA my car. Long story. Suffice it to say, however that NEXT episode we will be back at Studio P with Engineer/Producer Joe Paulino AND a special guest co-host! That’s right. But this time we’ve got some clips and an interesting interview with a young filmmaker. A VERY young filmmaker. 16, to be exact, by the name of Dylan Price. I wanted to chat with Dylan because I could see parallels between a young person, finding his way around in the early throes of learning how to make movies and a number of the podcasters out there I've come to know that are stumbling around on their way to learning how to produce a decent show. Listen to hear if you don't recognize a little bit of either yourself or someone you know who is excited, eager, and willing to do just about anything to do what they love. Speaking of the interview, I need to apologize to Dylan. He had a campaign up on Indiegogo to raise money to fund his movie, Gardofski, the short we talk about. Try as I might, I could not get this episode done in time to do him any good. So I kicked in $50 to help him, but he still fell a hundred bucks shy of the $500 he was hoping to bring in. So here's what I'll do. Since Dylan is still working on his film, if you feel moved to help him out, you can jump up and click on our Donate button right on the SuccotashShow.com website. Just include a note with whatever you might want to give to him and I will pass it along in the form of delicious cash. What else we got? Let me run it down for you... Monday Morning Podcast I really enjoy Bill Burr’s Monday Morning Podcast, although I haven’t had the opportunity to play much on the show before. It’s the simplest of frameworks: a man and a recorder. Very bare bones and Bill rambles on, not overly concerned with being funny as he seems to just wants to be engaging. Toggle The Switch The internet is allowing for some really interesting things to happen in podcasting that would be very expensive to pull off in traditional media. Last episode I played a clip from when I co-hosted The Dhead Factor, with host Dabs in Canberra, Australia and me in Mill Valley, California. This show we have a clip from a show that does something similar all the time. Toggle The Switch features American co-host Susan Wygmans in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and her counterpart Carl Mac, who hails from Adelaide, South Australia. The other voice you’ll hear is their guest, Rob Flanagan and, well, I’m not sure where he’s from. Mental Poison With Marcus, Brian, Bill, Joe, and Monica, Mental Poison (love that name!) blasts out of New Jersey live every Monday night, then replays forever on iTunes and Stitcher Smart Radio. These guys are loud, raucous and pretty entertaining. No Pants Cast I’m grateful when the podcasters reach out and take the time to shoot me some info about themselves, with or without a clip. From LA, The No Pants Cast has less than ten episodes under their no belts so far, but they’re taking it seriously. Or comedically. Hosts Tim Chizmar and Diane Kawasaki along with their announcer, Cooler Tom Schuler, have guests, boundless conversation with no boundaries and, of course, no pants. In this clip they're joined by comedian Steve Mazan. The Hustle Here’s another show I am just now getting turned onto. Co-host Will Gilman dropped me a line and a clip. It’s one of what I like to refer to as those “shooting the shit” shows, but with only two hosts (Gilman and Adam Tucker), things don’t get horribly out of hand in terms of overtalking. That's it for the clippage. We do have another Burst O' Durst with political scamp Will Durst (look for him at http://WillDurst.com or @WillDurst on Twitter.) We also got a call on the Succotash Hotline from J.V. of the JVMail podcast, so I play it for you during the TweetSack segment. I sure am looking forward to getting back to the studio next time. You, too! Until then, please be darned sure that you pass the Succotash. — Marc Hershon
