Public education is not partisan, but it is political. Politicians in the statehouse make decisions that impact Ohio's public school classrooms every day. That's why it is so important that our lawmakers hear directly from the educators who know what these policy decisions mean in our schools. Trotwood Madison Education Association President David Graham wasn't sure what to expect when he had a chance to talk to his state lawmakers the first time he joined his fellow OEA members for a Lobby Day at the statehouse. But as he tells us in this episode, he actually really enjoyed the experience, and he wants other educators to give it a try.REWIND | David Graham is no stranger to the Public Education Matters podcast. Today, we focused on the hope, joy, and peace that come from trusting in God, based on Romans 15:13. J. Wallace is a Dateline-featured cold-case homicide detective, bestselling author, and national speaker. He is also a Christian apologist, Senior Fellow at the Colson Center, and adjunct professor of apologetics at Talbot School of Theology, Gateway Seminary, and Southern Evangelical Seminary. Episode Summary: We've entered a world where seeing is no longer believing. In a culture shaped by deepfakes, viral outrage, and endless information, a deeper question emerges: how do you know what's real? When feelings become truth, reality doesn't disappear; it just gets ignored. And increasingly, that confusion isn't just out there; it's showing up inside the Church. In this episode, we sit down with pastor and apologist Juan Valdes, author of How to Think: A Crash Course in Critical Thinking, to confront the rise of post-truth thinking and its impact on apologetics, everyday discipleship, and your personal life. Why do arguments fall flat when emotions become the referee? And how is the authority of Scripture quietly being replaced by modern ideas of authenticity?Juan helps us chart a better path forward. We explore how to test ideas against reality, ask better questions, and rebuild a biblical worldview that connects every area of life. This is a conversation about recovering clarity, confidence, and compassion in an age of confusion. If you're tired of the fog and want to think clearly again, this episode is for you.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Since 1997, DNA's mission has been to equip followers of Jesus around the globe with a biblical worldview, empowering them to build flourishing families, communities, and nations.

In this episode of the Covenant Eyes Podcast, host Karen Potter sits down with Dr. Stephen Cutchins, pastor, professor, author, and executive director at the Southern Evangelical Seminary's Innovative Training Center. With decades of experience in ministry, leadership, education, and executive coaching, Dr. Cutchins brings a thoughtful and balanced perspective to one of today's most pressing topics: artificial intelligence. As AI continues to reshape industries, education, and everyday life, Christians are faced with new questions about ethics, discernment, and how to faithfully navigate rapidly advancing technology. Dr. Cutchins explores how believers can engage these tools wisely without abandoning the timeless foundations of theology, moral reasoning, and spiritual disciplines.Throughout the conversation, he emphasizes that while AI presents new opportunities, it also exposes deeper cultural challenges—such as the devaluing of wisdom, the rise of extended adolescence, and the temptation to replace spiritual discernment with technological convenience. Instead of reacting with fear or blind acceptance, Dr. Cutchins encourages Christians to approach AI with wisdom, humility, and a commitment to redeem technology for kingdom purposes.Ultimately, this discussion reminds listeners that while artificial intelligence may offer powerful capabilities, it can never replace divine intelligence. Prayer, community, and biblical truth remain the essential tools for navigating the future faithfully.✨ Episode Topics Discussed• Dr. Stephen Cutchins' background: ministry, leadership, & higher education• Why AI is raising new ethical questions for Christians & churches• The difference between intelligence, discernment, & spiritual wisdom• How technology is advancing faster than society's moral framework• Cultural shifts that are impacting how people interact with AI• The importance of valuing wisdom, experience, & mentorship• Why Christians should neither reject nor blindly embrace AI• The role of discernment when using AI tools in ministry & education• Understanding true freedom versus false freedom in a technological age• Why prayer & spiritual disciplines are essential in navigating modern technology

Episode Summary: What if deconstruction isn't a crisis of faith, but a crisis of authority? This week, we sit down with apologist Tim Barnett from Stand to Reason, Red Pen Logic, and co-author of The Deconstruction of Christianity to unpack the ideas behind the faith deconstruction movement and learn how it's affected every one of us in more ways than we realize. We explore how postmodern thinking shifted authority from Scripture to the self, why that change reshapes conversations about truth, justice, and identity, and how social media is actively discipling millions. Make sure to listen to the whole conversation, as Tim also shares incredibly practical ways for Christians to respond with clarity, compassion, and confidence when friends or family begin questioning their faith. If you've watched someone you love drift or are wrestling with these questions yourself, this conversation offers helpful categories, practical tools, and real hope.Who is Disciple Nations Alliance (DNA)? Original airdate: 6/5/25 Mary welcomes new guest Judge Phil Ginn of Southern Evangelical Seminary to discuss the critical need for apologetics - understanding it, and using what we learn. It can be like a foreign language, if you don't use it you just might lose it. Hiding God's Word in our hearts is critical to the articulation of biblical apologetics. We will talk about their upcoming National Apologetics Conference. Then we look at the quagmire parents have found themselves in when trying to assert their rights and opt out of perverted DEI type indoctrination. The public schools don't want to deal with those messes, because hey, that means their students aren't learning to be oh so tolerant of diversity and inclusion. Well, that's on them, the schools - and parents are fighting back. Finally, we look at our government and why Trump has to deal with the O'Biden judiciary mess via activist judges. How did we get to the point that our duly elected President has his agenda hijacked at every turn? An enlightening hour with the president of SES, a former judge and very sharp regarding the Christian worldview.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Today Mary talks to the Judge about marriage - as an apologetic. When we think of apologetics, we think of cults, defending the gospel, evangelism and false teaching. But in the culture wars, what could be more important than defending the building blocks of society when all around us are those who wish to destroy it? Remember the "free love" movement of the '60s? Free it was not, and freedom was not attained. Rather, it was just one more knife in the heart of defending life and the picture of marriage that God desires us to project. Mary welcomes back Juan Valdes of Reasons for Hope to discuss the hows and whys of critical thinking in a post-truth world. Humans bring many biases, indoctrinations and emotions to so many issues of the day, and seem content to take most things at face value instead of thinking things through in context. Words have meaning, and even before we speak, our thoughts have already given birth to a multitude of possible words - and actions. No believer can ever hope to be an effective apologist without understanding the importance of thinking things through - with the goal of giving an answer to all who ask about our hope. Social media, in fact, is probably the main contributor to the destruction of meaningful discourse in the public square. We talk about how critical thinking is indispensable in our lives at any age. Juan is the senior pastor of a Spanish-speaking congregation in Florida and has worked at a Christian school as both a chaplain and a teacher for more than 20 years. His educational background includes graduate work at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and master's degrees from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Logos Graduate School. He has a Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. As an educated and experienced teacher of apologetics, Juan has taught Bible and Introduction to Philosophy at the High School level, and Theology, Bible, and Apologetics at the seminary level, in both English and Spanish.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Today Mary welcomes new guest Judge Phil Ginn of Southern Evangelical Seminary to discuss the critical need for apologetics - understanding it, and using what we learn.

Why are white farmers being murdered in South Africa, and why does the media ignore or deny it? Frank sits down with Simon Brace, National Director of Ratio Christi South Africa, to expose how Marxist ideology, CRT, and postmodern thinking have taken root in universities and are reshaping the soul of the nation. Together, Frank and Simon tackle pressing questions like:What happened when Simon's uncle (a farmer) was murdered in 2007?What are the political parties in South Africa and how did the country become so vulnerable to Marxism and socialism? What's happening at universities in South Africa and how does that compare to what's happening here in the United States? What role is fatherlessness playing in the breakdown of society around the world? Why is teaching logic and critical thinking skills so important in today's postmodern culture? What is the biggest lie being told in South Africa? What did Simon recently discover USAID was supporting in South Africa? How do policies in the United States affect other countries and why must we continue to stand up for the existence of moral and objective truth in the public square? As South Africa faces political unrest, rising crime, and deep cultural confusion, people around the world need to understand what's driving the chaos.
