The medical system oftentimes feels like a cult where people are punished for speaking out against it. Kelly had been in it for the longest time but decided to break free from the cycle; us being the victim, the doctor being the rescuer, and the villain being your body. As Kelly began to recognize that taking responsibility, moving into the uncertainty, and taking the risk of being in the wrong, she realized that a big reason why many people don't have a natural birth or take holistic medicine is because they're programmed with the thought of ‘But what if I'm wrong?'. Kelly wants to reclaim the power of choice and the power of responsibility where you can be yourself, have your own thoughts, and make your own choices. Kelly Brogan is a holistic psychiatrist and author of the NY Times bestselling book, “A Mind of Your Own”, “Own Your Self”, the children's book, “A Time For Rain”, and co-editor of the landmark textbook, Integrative Therapies for Depression. She founded the online healing program Vital Mind Reset, and the membership community, Vital Life Project. This week, on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam is joined by Author Hans Wilhelm. Hans is the author and illustrator of over 200 books for all ages – including some together with Byron Katie. His books have sold over 40 million copies and are translated into 30 languages. As a mystic Hans has recently created over 100 short YouTube videos in which he visually explains the spiritual laws of the universe. In these videos you can watch him drawing the dynamics of these laws and see how all the dots connect. This unique visual presentation has made his videos so successful that they have been watched by over 14 million viewers.Tune in for this enlightening conversation at TalkRadio.nyc or watch the Facebook Livestream by Clicking Here.Segment 1Sam reads a passage from his book Everyday Awakenings, “Being Triggered.” He discusses how when we are annoyed by certain behaviors in others, we are actually triggering an unconscious criticism of ourselves. He shares what his triggers are and how self-compassion can help mitigate them. Sam gives a homework assignment for listeners this week to deal with these triggers. Sam welcomes his special guest, Hans Wilhelm, whose videos on the spiritual laws of the universe have been viewed by millions around the world. Segment 2Hans tells Sam how he became interested in the spiritual laws of the universe. From Transcendental Meditation to living in Africa, his journey has had many twists and turns. Hans shares a poignant tale about his father's death and subsequent transition to the afterlife, which influenced him to create his YouTube channel. Hans shares a funny story about his first experience with Transcendental Meditation. Sam asks Hans whether any of the spiritual concepts he learned about were difficult to accept, and what the biggest changes have been during his spiritual journey. Sam and Hans discuss loneliness, and how an inner connection to a higher power can transcend it. Sam asks Hans what Karma means to him, and what he does in life to improve it. Segment 3Sam and Hans discuss the concept of Reincarnation. Why is it so difficult for people to believe in it and to understand it? Hans discusses how the Christian church suppressed Reincarnation and how that suppression has reverberated through time. He then describes how Earth is a vessel for souls of all types, as opposed to other areas of the universe where only similar souls coexist. He shares the importance of turning to spirituality to undo our karmic burdens. Sam lets our Christian friends know that there may be evidence of reincarnation in early Christian texts. Segment 4Sam asks Hans why his books are purely instructional, compared with his videos which are more joyful and moralizing. Hans shares why he thinks his YouTube videos have become so popular (14 million views and counting). Sam then pivots to the division and hardships being experienced by many people today, and asks Hans what he believes are the most effective tools people can use to help themselves. Hans shares multiple methods, whether establishing a firmer inner connection to divinity, accepting the mantra “this too shall pass,” and others. Sam and Hans share how it's a privilege to be a spirit entering the physical world, which runs counter to people who turn to spirituality as a means to escape it.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-conscious-consultant-hour8505/donations

He has just come off the back of dealing with a few of these situations himself, and through the process, had a few AHA moments along the way. In true Tommy style, you'll have to listen through the whole episode. The more he talks, the more insight comes to the surface.

In today’s episode, I am talking with Dhebi DeWitz from the Heart and Soul Academy about reframing. What can we do when other people trigger us? We can’t change other people or what is happening outside of us but we have the option to change how we let others affect us by reframing our perspective.
Episode 41 – Triggered Intro- : 10 Triggered - :60 What is a Trigger? – 3:15 What is Triggering? – 3:50 Let’s Talk About - 12:10 Consequences of Being Triggered – 15:21 Are You Triggering Yourself? - 16:37 Meech Got Triggered Moment – 29:00 Meech Might Preach – 40:40 1 Kings 22 New Living Translation (NLT) Jehoshaphat and Ahab 22 For three years there was no war between Aram and Israel. 2 Then during the third year, King Jehoshaphat of Judah went to visit King Ahab of Israel. 3 During the visit, the king of Israel said to his officials, “Do you realize that the town of Ramoth-gilead belongs to us? And yet we’ve done nothing to recapture it from the king of Aram!” 4 Then he turned to Jehoshaphat and asked, “Will you join me in battle to recover Ramoth-gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, “Why, of course! You and I are as one. My troops are your troops, and my horses are your horses.” 5 Then Jehoshaphat added, “But first let’s find out what the Lord says.” 6 So the king of Israel summoned the prophets, about 400 of them, and asked them, “Should I go to war against Ramoth-gilead, or should I hold back?” They all replied, “Yes, go right ahead! The Lord will give the king victory.” 7 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not also a prophet of the Lord here? We should ask him the same question.” 8 The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me! His name is Micaiah son of Imlah.” Jehoshaphat replied, “That’s not the way a king should talk! Let’s hear what he has to say.” 9 So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, “Quick! Bring Micaiah son of Imlah.” Micaiah Prophesies against Ahab 10 King Ahab of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah, dressed in their royal robes, were sitting on thrones at the threshing floor near the gate of Samaria. All of Ahab’s prophets were prophesying there in front of them. 11 One of them, Zedekiah son of Kenaanah, made some iron horns and proclaimed, “This is what the Lord says: With these horns you will gore the Arameans to death!” 12 All the other prophets agreed. “Yes,” they said, “go up to Ramoth-gilead and be victorious, for the Lord will give the king victory!” 13 Meanwhile, the messenger who went to get Micaiah said to him, “Look, all the prophets are promising victory for the king. Be sure that you agree with them and promise success.” 14 But Micaiah replied, “As surely as the Lord lives, I will say only what the Lord tells me to say.” 15 When Micaiah arrived before the king, Ahab asked him, “Micaiah, should we go to war against Ramoth-gilead, or should we hold back?” Micaiah replied sarcastically, “Yes, go up and be victorious, for the Lord will give the king victory!” 16 But the king replied sharply, “How many times must I demand that you speak only the truth to me when you speak for the Lord?” 17 Then Micaiah told him, “In a vision I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, like sheep without a shepherd. And the Lord said, ‘Their master has been killed.[a] Send them home in peace.’” 18 “Didn’t I tell you?” the king of Israel exclaimed to Jehoshaphat. “He never prophesies anything but trouble for me.” 19 Then Micaiah continued, “Listen to what the Lord says! I saw the Lord sitting on his throne with all the armies of heaven around him, on his right and on his left. 20 And the Lord said, ‘Who can entice Ahab to go into battle against Ramoth-gilead so he can be killed?’ “There were many suggestions, 21 and finally a spirit approached the Lord and said, ‘I can do it!’ 22 “‘How will you do this?’ t
There are times when you just can not get away from your ex. I received an email from a listener/viewer asking for help on his particular situation. He is in his third year of university and has recently broken up with his live-in girlfriend. They are in the same school and run in the same friend circle. The viewer is doing better but every time he runs into his ex or has a friend bring her up in conversation it takes him back down. Links to find out more! The video end up being over 30 minutes so I’ve decide to convert it into a podcast instead. Stuck surround by ex 01:20 - I read through the email. The user is not a dad or going through a divorce. Although he is not the target demographic for the channel the information is still relevant. People generally pick sides 06:00 - People generally pick sides. Although they may be friendly with both once the “battle” starts people pick their loyalties. This can also be difficult because if you a “couple” one may side with the stronger “story” to save their relationship at the cost of yours. Taking up your mental energy 11:31 - The viewer writes about how this is taking a lot of his mental energy and to cope he is becoming a bit of a recluse to stay away from the constant reminders Seek out friends who are not tainted 17:59 - If possible seek out friends who have not been tainted by this experience. You still must be careful what you say to any mutual friends but you may be able to salvage some relationships. Coming to grips with what has been lost 23:56 - It is really difficult when you have constant reminders of things lost. Coming to grips with that loss and being able to make your peace with it can go a long way to making things more bearable. You have to give yourself time to heal so if being around any reminder is too much then weigh that cost with not being around other people. It can take a while to make your peace but it can also start to empower you when you realize their emotional control over you starts to dissipate. End of show wrap-up 33:24 - End of show wrap up
