This week, we're going to celebrate the steaming cinema turd known as BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR! You knew we'd end up here sooner or later, so here goes nothing: Avian atrocities around amateur actors and actresses' awkward adventure! PSAs out the A! Famished little fuckers refusing fish for French fries! Rod finds a rod! Badasses banging their burners at birds and a bus! Gallon gouging after getting got by gratuitous gulls. Brenda wig on the bark beetle guy! Improvised eyeball scabs! Pausing pursuit of peace for picnic pleasantries! Ominous grunting! Moore/Nguyen Rod proxy, and much, much more on this week's episode of The Worst Movie Ever Made! www.theworstmovieevermade.com
Birdemic: Shock and Terror is supposed to be a message of environmentalism, but like the shock and terror in the title it misses out on all three. James Nguyen lost his message in an almost violently slow film that tests the limits of boredom. While there are kudos for making the film he wanted, the only lessons here are what not to do. More importantly, we stick hard on the tenet of knowing the structure of a story, particularly the importance of having a plot. Birdemic: Shock and Terror can be found on Tubi.
When the humans are destroying the planet, there is only one thing that can solve the problem. We're streaming this on Amazon. Birds. That's right... Birds!
On today's episode the guys sit down with birdwatcher and environmental scientist Haydn Bowden to discuss the 2010 film "Birdemic: Shock and Terror"! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The DISASTERPIECE podcast has landed! And it's brought a Bird-pocalypse with it! Climate activist/comedian Rollie Williams (Climate Town) helps us tackle James Nguyen's romantic thriller Birdemic: Shock and Terror. Is it actually a romance or a thriller? Probably not. But the story behind this cursed production will definitely leave you with more questions than answers. So gather your family, throw a party, and enjoy.Follow us on Instagram @disasterpiece_movie_night for more info about our monthly live shows!
Have you ever caught yourself feeling nostalgic for a time that's not even past yet? That's the mind-bending concept we're diving into on the latest episode of the Byword. This week, we're toying with the idea of a Stranger Things-esque show that's not looking back at the 1980s, but forward to how the 2020s might be remembered. Imagine this: a series that captures the essence of what today will mean to us decades from now. Will we reminisce about the rise of TikTok, the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, or the gaming revolution led by titles like Assassin's Creed Shadows? Our latest episode is not just a walk down a hypothetical memory lane—it's a full-on sprint into the speculative future. We also tackle the latest in nerd news, including the disappointing cancellation of the Silk: Spider Society series on Amazon Prime and the much-anticipated Assassin's Creed Shadows set in feudal Japan. But it's not all serious business—we share some hearty laughs over Rift Tracks' take on Birdemic: Shock and Terror, and muse about the death of monoculture in a world where personalized algorithms define our entertainment. This episode is a love letter to the present, a reflection on how today's culture might be viewed through the rose-tinted glasses of tomorrow. "Weird Al" Yankovic helps Paul, Jason, and June break down the 2010 horror film, Birdemic: Shock and Terror, recorded LIVE at the Largo theater in Los Angeles. They dig into all the bad CGI, un-needed B-Roll, the Tippi Hedren “cameo,” and ponder if the environmentalism of this movie really works. Plus, special guest Whitney Moore (Nathalie) joins the crew to answer all their questions about the filming of this movie, including how she ended up auditioning for the film and what's the deal with that orange bathing suit. On the podcast this time, Steven and Sean are joined by returning special guest, Greg Dengler, to stop this deadly scourge of murderous birds once and for all. We watched the 2010 film from James Nguyen, Birdemic: Shock and Terror.Dear listeners, we may have finally done it. I think we may have seen what could be the worst film ever made. If it's not at the top of the list, then it's in the top three. Without question. After all, it's got every bad thing imaginable: horrifying visual effects, terrible acting, and a script that may have been written by a malfunctioning artificial intelligence. In a way, it's reached a sort of perfection. Not in the sense that it's of high quality. Don't make me laugh. More along the lines of it excels in a way few other films have. One might be able to call it the Citizen Kane of b-movies.Listen on to find out how this month's b-movie will rank with us. The long awaited wait is here! We are officially doing "Birdemic 2: The Resurrection", the sequel of our top listened to movie episode, "Birdemic: Shock and Terror". This time with Seth joining us, we get to live through another 80 minutes of what is without a doubt, the objectively worst movie of all time on the surface level. Get ready for terrible clipart CGI birds, unmatched white noise audio, long driving scenes with green screens and hair falling into the camera, and a sporadic plot that spends less time on the birds than it does on Hollywood movies and new love. Why did the eagles and vultures attack again? Who is the OCSA and why do they have so much power in the film review world? And who the hell is JoJo Candles? Tune in this week to find out all this and more, but only on "The Good, The Bad, & The Movies"! P.S. One week after their spectacular season premiere, Cooper and Nolan are taking flight with BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR! Widely considered one of the worst movies ever made and allegedly produced on a budget of $10,000, the guys were obviously expecting it to be bad. But nothing could have prepared them for just how bad the muddled audio, sub-porn caliber acting, and visual effects straight out of a PlayStation 2 game could get. (Not to mention the totally unexpected and heavy-handed message about climate change.) Get ready to run for cover; this episode (featuring a beer from Eleventh Hour Brewing Co.) is definitely full of shock and terror... just not the kind the movie's director was hoping for.
The crew looks at Birdemic: Shock and Terror, the film Alfred Hitchcock would have made if he was terrible at his job. Panelists: Jack, Izzy, David
Or that time Amelia & Sherrick got a million dollar deal and dated a VS model while some hawks hovered outside our window This week, Amelia and Sherrick watched Birdemic (The first one) and we laughed, we stared in confusion, and we brought a lot of opinions to this podcast. Obvious spoilers for Birdemic (Again, the first one) in here, so buckle in as we talk about awful sound mixing, wooden acting, moments that last far too long, million (and billion) dollar deals, solar panels, random cgi birds hovering, some disappointing gunfire, a mountain lion, and kids being accosted after losing their parents and being generally fine with it - as long as you get them McDonalds. This week! Claire Denis' Trouble Every Day. From wiki: "Shane and June Brown are an American couple honeymooning in Paris in an effort to nurture their new life together, a life complicated by Shane's mysterious and frequent visits to a medical clinic where cutting edge studies of the human libido are undertaken. When Shane seeks out a self-exiled expert in the field, he happens upon the doctor's wife, another victim of the same malady. She has become so dangerous and emotionally paralyzed by the condition that her husband imprisons her by day in their home. It is Shane's chance encounter with this woman that triggers an event so cataclysmic and shocking it might just lead him to rediscover the tranquility he seeks to restore for himself and his new bride." But first! The ghost of Paul Lynde and the greatness of Bye Bye Birdie. the Haunting of Drusilla and ghosts traveling through mirrors, Drusilla watched Chilly Scenes of Winter. Josh watched Birdemic: Shock and Terror and Possession from 1981. Then they get into the feature, Claire Denis' Trouble Every Day. Content warning: this film contains sexual assault and stars Vincent Gallo. Drusilla isn't the biggest fan of Denis' work or this movie while Josh likes it a little more. They discuss the complicated legacy of Vincent Gallo who was once very cool (Buffalo 66! Brown Bunny! was in a band with Jean-Michele Basquiat!) and became very much not that. Dru loves Beatrice Dalle. Josh was marked by the 90s and that sucks. Johnny Rotten sucks now, too. They discuss the plot and whether or not the movie is sexy. Josh thinks Vincent Gallo is a good actor, but Dru compares him to Joe Dallesandro. Vincent Gallo doesn't understand his lines? They discuss the aesthetics and music of the film. Things shot on digital video are kind of blech. They like the Tindersticks song, though. There are a few cliche art film scenes in this. Josh compares this to Daughters of Darkness, Dru compares it to Comfort of Strangers. They debate the way the film presents bodies and sex and also the way vampires work in this. They compare it to Cronenberg's Crash as well but Crash is a bottom and this is a top. Also, the fucking COMIC SANS OF IT ALL!!! Then they play Have They Seen It? Next week the duo is watching Alex Garland's Men. Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon watched the next movie in the Sam Raimi filmography as she follows along with Blank Check, 2002's Spider-Man (Rent or TNT). She thought the movie was fine, but just doesn't like this version of Spiderman in particular. In her Joe Bob Corner, the Dragon watched Humanoids from the Deep (Tubi or Shudder), a 1980 monster movie that she felt was very fun. And bonus, Joe Bob interviewed Roger Corman in the episode. Berto on the Bed: Berto watched the 4+ hour documentary on 80s horror In Search of Darkness (Shudder), which he highly recommends. He also watched The Funhouse (Shudder). a Tobe Hooper B level horror movie he thought was better than it should have been. Berto then watched Pieces (Tubi), a Spanish giallo that he also enjoyed. He saw Zombie (Shudder), another Italian film made to impersonate a sequel of Living Dead that he thought was fine as an 80s horror movie. Berto watched Wolfcop (Shudder), a Canadian monster movie full of craziness that Berto found fun and interesting. Berto saw The Italian Job (HBO), a heist movie that he thought was good, especially if you are into the genre. He then watched Death On The Nile (HBO), where he realized Gal Gadot maybe can't act. Finally, Berto watched one of the more famous so-bad-its-good movies, Birdemic: Shock and Terror (Tubi), which he feels rivals The Room but with less rewatch value. Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive is the 1974 comedy classic Young Frankenstein, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

From visionary director James Nguyen comes this eco-thriller Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010). For this disaster of a disaster movie, the Weekly Watch Wheel crew were not prepared. This movie has exploding birds and explosions of romance in every scene. Will we survive this hellish a-squawk-alypse? Find out on this week's episode of the Weekly Watch Wheel!
Jordan, John, and Rhiane did what they thought could never be done--they watched another James Nguyen film! More specifically, they watched the sequel to the infamous production "Birdemic: Shock and Terror" called "Birdemic: The Resurrection." Together, the gang wholeheartedly agrees that Birdemic 2, unlike it's predecessor, is actually a movie! They discuss the MANY flaws with the film (both carried over from the original production, and completely original issues) such as awful audio quality, the most wooden acting you've ever seen, Natalie giving it her all in her performance, an absolutely unforgivable jellyfish attack scene, unwarranted nudity, an unfounded fact about birds hating hangers, a lack of references/explanations of what happened in "Birdemic: Shock and Terror," poorly-used and unnecessary background sound effects, panning shots of restaurants, and so much more! Later they do a brand new segment created specially for this movie, plus a segment of All Sides. Please leave a rating and review on iTunes so other people know that this podcast is worthy of a toast. Check out the 2009 thriller (?!?!?!?!) "The Stepfather," starring Penn Badgely, as it will be the topic of discussion for the next episode. Thanks for listening!
We are tripping out on mysterious and strange news! Is the sexiest man in Russian pole rigged? Is a mansion made of mud and trash maximum luxury?
