Tune in as Pride Month reaches the end of the road on 2CC! With this fourth and final episode of June, Arthur teams back up with his filmmaker buddy Robyn Zabukovec for a breakdown of Sound of Violence, the 2021 slasher horror film that uses synesthesia as the innovative foundation for an atmospheric and grisly ride. Famous synesthetes, admiration for the theremin, and the art gallery scene from Sound of Violence unnerving Arthur to the point that he feels pins and needles prickling through his fingers comprise just a few of this episode's talking points. Written and directed by Alex Noyer, Sound of Violence stars Jasmin Savoy Brown, Lili Simmons, James Jagger, Tessa Munro, Brian Huskey, Dana L. Welcome to Comedians on UFOs: Part 2!We are joined by Tim Barnes, Michael Ian Black, Brian Huskey, Reggie Watts, Andrew Sanford, and Dean Haglund! UFO accounts can sometimes reminds us of a playful world. A humorous world. A species looking for structure and pattern and constantly being bombarded with both chaos and ridiculousness. And that if most definitely UFOs. And it's also comedy. Comedy gives us a communal experience full of confusion and raw emotional release. It makes us feel more human than ever. So when we're faced with something possibly non-human, we can choose to run away from it or fight it. Or, we can embrace it and sometimes, laugh about it. In this series, Ryan digs into the archives of Somewhere in the Skies to bring you a collection of interviews he's conducted throughout the years with comedians. And, as you'll see, a common thread starts to weave its way through these conversations. Why are comedians drawn to UFOs? How can we use it to both accept and possibly even understand UFO phenomenon? Please take a moment to rate and review Somewhere in the Skies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen.Patreon: www.patreon.com/somewhereskiesVenmo: @Ryan-SpraguePayPal: Sprague51@hotmail.comWebsite: www.somewhereintheskies.comYouTube Channel: CLICK HEREBook your Cameo video with Ryan at: https://bit.ly/3kwz3DOOfficial Store: CLICK HEREBuy Somewhere in the Skies coffee: https://bit.ly/3rmXuapOrder Ryan's new book: https://a.co/d/4KNQnM4Order Ryan's older book: https://amzn.to/3PmydYCTik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ryansprague51Twitter: @SomewhereSkiesInstagram: @SomewhereSkiesPodRead Ryan's Articles by CLICKING HEREOpening Theme Song, "Ephemeral Reign" by Per KiilstofteCopyright © 2023 Ryan Sprague. We all know The Dating Game! The weird 60s game show that basically invented reality tv, where swingin' bachelors and bachelorettes ask each other overtly s*xual questions from either side of a screen? But what if that sweet, innocuous game show was actually... a CIA front?? Our guest this week is the truly delightful comedian Brian Huskey (host of the podcast Bald Talk) and he dares to ask the dangerous questions. Brian's got a theory that the host of The Dating Game was a cold-blooded killer and a soldier in the Cold War. This ep we also discuss our least-favorite NPR hosts, water sports, exotic erotic vacations, and how much everyone hated Chuck Barris.
