Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the running back position seemingly stalling with the Commitments of Dylan Edwards to the Kansas State Wildcats and Trent Howland to the Oklahoma State Cowboys.Ole Miss is seemingly turning its gaze to the defensive side of the ball with Former Tennessee Volunteer Tyler Baron and former Miami Hurricane Jayden Wayne who visited the Washington Huskies this weekend which is a key fact for a Washington level player. We talk Jacory Croskey Merritt from the New Mexico Lobos and whether he can perform the Snoop Conner type role. In the second segment of the show we talk about Hayden Bradley a TE out of Buford HS in Georgia committing to Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels and we look at the TE Room currently with Caden Prieskorn a former Memphis Tiger, Dae'quan Wright a former Virginia Tech Hokie and players like Hudson Wolfe and Dillon Hipp who were HS Signings. Jaxson Dart should have all the faith in this room and 12 personnel should be used. In our final segment of the day we talk about how the NFL has made the draft not about the players but about everything else and making all the money. We talked about Deantre Prince, Cedric Johnson and Dajahn Anthony getting drafted and what that really meant and honestly how opting out in a Peach Bowl game can backfire. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Dylan Edwards and the national buzz around him and Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss Rebels. We talk about how he is positionless and might profile as more of a slot receiver. We talk about Jacory Croskey Merritt and Henry Parrish and how he is more of a Percy Harvin of the Florida Gators type of Athlete in this system. In the second segment of the show we talk about how Dylan Edwards profiles similarly to Dexter McCluster and we talk about how even Ed Orgeron saw the need to get the ball in his hands as many ways as possible and talk about his High School film and how it compared to Noel Devine's tape…Before going to the West Virginia Mountaineers. And we look at how his inclusion would help Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn and others along the offense. In our final segment of the day we talk about how Lane Kiffin isn't the only Portal King these days as Chris Beard is on an absolute heater with 5 separate commitments over the last week or so with Sean Pedulla from Virginia Tech Hokies being the latest one. We talk about him and Pop Isaacs from Texas Tech Red Raiders with who will be next. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Follow and Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms:

Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the transfer portal and Ole Miss Rebels revamping their Running Back room which will allow some schematic tweaks if they land a larger back like Trent Howland from Indiana Hoosiers or Peny Boone from the Louisville Cardinals. The move would make 12 Personnel more likely with Caden Prieskorn and Dae'quan Wright becoming more involved with the offense as Lane Kiffin continues to play chess not checkers in this Transfer Portal window. In the second segment of the show we talk about three other players that Ole Miss should recruit in other positions and we talk about Keyron Crawford from the Arkansas State Red Wolves, Demouy Kennedy from the Colorado Buffaloes and Cormani McClain from Colorado as players talent wise that would help Ole Miss going into this 2024 College Football Playoff type year. In our final segment of the day we talk about Sean Pedulla from the Virginia Tech Hokies who was an Oklahoma Sooner Commit but based on a Tweet from TJ Oxley of the Rebel Walk he isn't now and he also mentions that Alabama Crimson Tide is not a threat for the two teams in the lead. Ole Miss is also recruiting Pop Isaacs from the Texas Tech Red Raiders as they look to fill out their team. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Follow and Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms:

Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the transfer portal and rumors going through the Ole Miss Rebels fanbase about Princely Umanmielen as anxiety has set in. We talk about how you can't be completely at ease about any player on your roster but I don't believe that Princely Umanmielen is going anywhere and I don't believe that any major piece will be affected for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels. In the second segment of the show we about CBS putting out their Top 100 College Football players and five players from Ole Miss made the Top 60 including Tre Harris, Walter Nolen, Princely Umanmielen, Jaxson Dart and Caden Prieskorn as well. We talk about how Quinshon Judkins is the #12 player at Ohio State Buckeyes but at Ole Miss he would have struggled to be in the Top 30. In our final segment of the day we talk about Phil Steele and his review of the Ole Miss Rebels spring football game and how it is ruffling feathers in the fanbase but I don't think people understand what happened. Lane Kiffin designed that so that any football person trying to get anything out of it would be a waste of time. One of the ultimate football guys in Phil Steele watched that spring game and called it a waste of time. It was not judging a format it was confirming the reason Lane Kiffin built it. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Damien Martinez entering the portal and what the Oregon State Beaver transfer would do for the Ole Miss offense. The Sophomore RB from Lewisville, TX would be an ideal change of pace type of back at 230 lbs. Now the Texas A&M Aggies and the Michigan State Spartans will obviously be potential landing spots but this is a player that fills a need that will make Jaxson Dart, Ulysses Bentley IV, Tre Harris, Juice Wells and Caden Prieskorn more effective. This is the one style of back that could elevate the whole offense. In the second segment of the show we talk about Dillon Alfred from Saraland HS in Alabama. We talk about what landing a receiver like this would do for Ole Miss down the road and we look at what he has to do now. We talk about how the Grove Bowl Games formula will be ideal for players recruiting and how much fun the players will be having. In our final segment of the day we talk about The Grove Bowl games and their chance to redefine spring football whether you agree with it or not. This idea has a major chance to spread across college football. Prop to Ole Miss Football for doing something for the members of the Grove Collective with a Meet the Rebels style event that will be held after the Grove Bowl Games. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Caden Prieskorn and his role in Lane Kiffin's offense with Jaxson Dart in 2024. Even with Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Deion Smith, Juice Wells, Ayden Williams and Cayden Lee there will be a role that can only be filled by a solid, productive Tight End in Caden Prieskorn or Dae'Quan Wright. The Ole Miss Rebels are positioned for a 2022 Tennessee Volunteers type of explosive offense but a lot will depend on the Tight End position. In the second segment of the show we talk about Jaxson Dart and the role that technology is going to play for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels. Kiffin described this technology as a Madden type offensive cheat code depending on how it is used. Kiffin is a coach that made his reputation as an offensive genius for the USC Trojans, Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Atlantic Owls coach by whistling when he saw the look he wanted and getting a shot type play. Now he will just have to relay it to Jaxson Dart through a head set. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Ole Miss Pro Day and the weird dichotomy that Ole Miss is doing by both promoting it as a spectator type event to generate interest and even having signage of the event to also really clamping down of the information that is going out. In a situation where the fan base is asked to pay the salaries of players this isn't the best look. https://thegrovecollective.com/marchtovictory WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about Jaxson Dart and the role he has played off the field displaying a magnetic personality in recruiting this 2024 football team. We talk about his development in Year three under Lane Kiffin and what that may look like with a WR corps of Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Deion Smith and Juice Wells. We talk about how this team he will be the face off and if it hits the success predicted for the Ole Miss Rebels in the CFB Playoff, Dart becomes the face of that as well. The only thing close to what could converge is the Archie Manning mania. Ole Miss fans should prepare for this to go off the chain. In the second segment of the show we talk about why Cayden Lee and Ayden Williams have a massive spring practice and they have the opportunity to really cement themselves to Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr as being trustworthy members of the WR corps that deserve playing time.George McDonald has a really talented room with Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Cayden Lee, Ayden Williams and the young guys…not to forget Caden Prieskorn and Dae'quan Wright to make this receiving corps the best in college football. In our final segment of the day we talk about the Southern Miss Golden Eagles picking this year to chirp at recent National Champion Ole Miss and Mississippi State and proceeding to lose to both of them. https://thegrovecollective.com/marchtovictory WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the National narrative of the Ole Miss Rebels going all in on the 2024 12 Team College Football playoff and this is the Last Dance for the Ole Miss Rebels and why that Lane Kiffin is building this roster with more staying power than just that.Jaxson Dart will have many different targets like Tre Harris, Juice Wells and Jordan Watkins with Caden Prieskorn and Ole Miss used the Portal to beef up their defense for Pete Golding and you can see why people would make 2024 Playoffs or bust. In the second segment of the show we talk about the way Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr and Pete Golding is building up tent pole rooms in College Football such as the Quarterback room with Walker Howard and Austin Simmons to make sure the most important position in College Football has continuity and Looking at Wide Receiver with Tre Harris and those guys but Ayden Williams, Noreel White and Cayden Lee are players in the pipeline too.The last tentpole is Defensive Line where Walter Nolen and Princely Umanmielen will join JJ Pegues and Jared Ivey will get the headlines this year but Kamarion Franklin, William Echoles, Jeffrey Rush and Kam Beavers are part of a Top 5 defensive line class for 2024 and shows the work Ole Miss is doing there. In our final segment of the day we talk about Ole Miss and the Transfer Portal and how it will always be a large part of the Ole Miss recruiting strategy but Ole Miss having good situations in those tent pole positions will make the money go farther for the Grove Collective and Lane Kiffin. https://thegrovecollective.com/marchtovictory WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the Tight End room and focus on how good of shape the Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin are in right now in that room starting with Caden Prieskorn after he took apart the "#1 Defense" in the Penn St Nittany Lions. They recruiting Dae'quan Wright from the Virginia Tech Hokies as a plus pass catcher with over 50 catches in two years at Virginia Tech. Then you have Jayvontay Conner, Hudson Wolfe and new signee Dillon Hipp to make that a favorable room for Jaxson Dart and Charlie Weis Jr. In the second segment of the show we talk about Matt Corral signing with the UFL and the Birmingham Stallions to play a little spring football. The former Carolina Panther draft pick will be an important cog in the fledgling spring league and it could be a spring board for getting back to the NFL. That wasn't it as Jordan Ta'amu is returning to the DC Defenders and DeMarquis Gates will join Corral in Birmingham. In our final segment of the day we talk about Baseball Opening Day arriving with the Ole Miss Baseball team playing the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a four game set this weekend in Honolulu. First pitch will be at about 10:30 CT and it will be broadcast on ESPN+. Either way it is good that baseball has arrived and we can all kick off our spring. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about how Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin can overcome the most hype that Ole Miss football has been under since 1970, Archie Manning and a Top 5 Preseason ranking. We look at a year three Quarterback in Jaxson Dart and compare that to others that have come through. We look at USA Today, CBS and Athlon to get their perspective on this Ole Miss team. In the second segment of the show we talk about what a home playoff game for Ole Miss Football and Lane Kiffin could be and we talk about some of the weapons that Ole Miss has in Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Juice Wells, Caden Prieskorn, Walter Nolen, Pooh Paul and Princely Umanmielen to make that happen we also look at way too early predictions from ESPN, 247 Sports and ON3. In our final segment of the day we talk about what Ole Miss needs to do to actually win the national championship or at least be in competition for it. The health of Jaxson Dart will be paramount and from their Ole Miss getting in the tournament means they have as good of a shot as anyone. We have talked about Ole Miss being selective in the Portal when it comes to offensive line players and two names have emerged in Heard and Percy Lewis from Mississippi State. Something to follow for John Garrison and Charlie Weis Jr. In the second segment of the show we talk about PFF releasing an article comparing Ole Miss in 2024 to Florida State Seminoles at this time last year. The released an article about what Ole Miss is done and why the Rebels need to be swimming in this heady water for 2024. Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the Penn State Nittany Lions defense because of the style of the Big 10 will not have faced an offense like Ole Miss Football and Jaxson Dart in this year's Peach Bowl. We look at the style of the league and how that leads to really good statistical numbers but it is deceiving. I do think that this will be the 3rd best defense that Ole Miss has seen this year and they favor the Texas A&M Aggies defensively. I think that the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are better units. In the second segment of the show we talk about Caden Prieskorn coming back to school for an offense that is trending toward elite right now. We talk about Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins and Deion Smith being available to next year's teams and where that will lead Ole Miss. We also talk about Walker Jones cryptic tweet about Tre Harris and we think something might be up on that front. In our final segment of the day we talk about Kewan Lacy the Running Back from Lancaster HS in Texas. This Dallas Area prospect is generating a lot of headlines because of how good he is and how his recruiting is playing out. In the second segment of the show we talk about that even though Texas A&M Aggies have an unbelievably respected defensive line, Pete Golding has one of his own. Cedric Johnson, Jared Ivey and Isaac Ukwu have a real chance to get their name out there in this game vs A&M and DJ Durkin. We look at how he has performed more often than not when he gets called upon and Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr can now just focus on getting his surrounding weapons on the football field and in a position for Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn and Quinshon Judkins to make plays. We wonder where Jaxson Dart fits on the pantheon of Ole Miss Quarterbacks and where he stacks up against recent greats. In the second segment of the show we talk about Pete Golding's explosive defense that he is building and how refreshing it is the growth that we have seen from that unit. It was a unit built on explosive plays by that front seven including Jared Ivey, Cedric Johnson, Isaac Ukwu and Suntarine Perkins that has started to create turnovers through John Saunders, Zamari Walton and Daijahn Anthony. In our final segment of the day we talk about the SEC Week 9 lines and who will be favored going into week 9. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the reasons that Ole Miss Football and Lane Kiffin will defeat Arkansas Football and Sam Pittman. This game will be about the offense being successful and Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr will need to let Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn and Quinshon Judkins cook with a varied and multizonal attack Plan…This offense has the potential to be the 2019 LSU Tigers or 2022 Tennessee Volunteers but they need to continue to build that way. In the second segment of the show we talk about why the Arkansas Razorbacks and KJ Jefferson and Rocket Sanders pose a different challenge to the defense that Jayden Daniels did a week ago. This game a spy does not need to be an Olympic sprinter to catch Daniels…This week will look more like it did vs the Alabama Crimson Tide and Jalen Milroe. I think the defense bounces back. In our final segment of the day we talk about how this game has Ole Miss as a heavy favorite on every single analytical tool and on betting lines where Ole Miss is currently -11.5. Now I am of the opinion that it is too many points for a football game that is traditionally silly but I do think Ole Miss wins the game comfortably. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the keys to winning vs the Arkansas Razorbacks and Sam Pittman. Ole Miss Football and Lane Kiffin have to be careful to limit KJ Jefferson Explosive plays. I understand that Rocket Sanders is back but Jefferson is head hog on that football team and a team that has given up far too many explosive plays will be tasked by Pete Golding with limiting them. In the second segment of the show we talk about how stopping the Arkansas Football running game will be paramount and that Ole Miss Defense can not let Rocket Sanders have another day like last year. We talk about Ole Miss being favored by FanDuel at -11.5 and wonder what that means. In our final segment of the day we talk about Ole Miss Offense continuing to vary the offense and force the defense to defend many different avenues of how Ole Miss can attack you. With players like Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn joining Jaxson Dart and Quinshon Judkins you have an offense that can be elite. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the reasons that Ole Miss Football and Lane Kiffin will defeat LSU Football and Brian Kelly. The game will come down to a matchup between the front seven of the LSU Tigers and the Running Game and Offensive Line of the Ole Miss Rebels. Quinshon Judkins vs Harold Perkins will be the headline of the game as Jaxson Dart and the Ole Miss offense tries to earn the right to throw against this secondary. In the second segment of the show we talk about how Lane Kiffin is an extremely competitive coach and usually is quick to make necessary changes and I believe that this game will be a combination of Lane doing things schematically that helps his young team and getting all of your weapons back and healthy. Tre Harris, Zakhari Franklin and Caden Prieskorn should be back and a lot better and we can see what this offense looks like. In our final segment of the day we talk score predictions and Las Vegas doing the weird thing that even though 77% of the public is betting on LSU the line has gone the other way. That usually means Vegas knows something. And I give my score prediction for Saturday's game. WANT MORE OLE MISS SPORTS CONTENT? Locked On Ole Miss - Daily podcast on Ole Miss Rebels Football, Basketball & Baseball
Today's Locked on Ole Miss podcast we talk about the LSU Tigers offense from Brian Kelly and Jayden Daniels that Pete Golding and Lane Kiffin must stop Saturday Night. How does Pete Golding schematically slow down LSU and how does it look for the Rebels. Is Suntarine Perkins slated to be the spy after a huge game vs the Alabama Crimson Tide. One the backend of the defense how do they deal with Malik Nabors who has nearly half of Jayden Daniels passing yards. In the second segment of the show we talk about the weird state of the Ole Miss offense and searching for the Alpha players almost 1/3 through the season. Jaxson Dart has played well in the early part of the season but is he the Alpha on this team…Is it Tre Harris, Quinshon Judkins, Zakhari Franklin or is it Caden Prieskorn. This game feels taylor made for Prieskorn IMO. In our final segment of the day we talk about how this is a swing game for the Ole Miss Football team that could mean the difference between the New Years Six and the Music City bowl. We live in a microwave society and we are extremely results driven and this game is at best a pickem and one would hope with Nick Saban not in the picture hopefully the team will perform Saturday. This game will come down to Quarterback play and in this series when Ole Miss has clearly the better quarterback they win more than they lose. Ole Miss offensively lost the middle of the field last season.UTEP transfer wide receiver Zakhari Franklin has arrived to help the Rebels find it again.Franklin committed to Lane Kiffin's football Rebels over the weekend. His slant usage last season was among the best in college football, which should pair well with a tight end room featuring Michael Trigg and Caden Prieskorn, two one-time high-profile transfers. Prieskorn was recently named one of the top returning tight ends in the country by Pro Football Focus.
