In praying for the Ephesians, Paul requested the Spirit's strengthening for them to equip them for Christ's residence in their hearts by faith. Such a bold prayer was only possible because Paul measured his prayers by God rather than by himself.

Send us a textThe mortal natural man within our body chemistry is a powerful force that is necessary but can be turned against our spiritual nature. It can act as a powerful Anti-Christ force if we allow for it to occur. However, seeing these philosophies in their true light can help us avoid our mortal failings especially when we suffer with mental illness.

In this episode, we unpack the subtle yet profound ways the Holy Spirit uses our closest relationships—especially in marriage—to shape and refine us. Growth often emerges from the tensions and trials we'd prefer to avoid, yet it's within these moments that transformation truly takes root. Joining me are Tom and Marcia Kuyper, Family and Marriage Pastors at Open Door Fellowship Church. This is a deep and candid conversation about how the hidden struggles, like shame, can quietly erode the intimacy God desires for marriages. This is the first of a two-part series that invites us to reflect more deeply on what it means to lean into growth, even when it's uncomfortable. In this episode, you'll learn: The impact of shame and feelings of inadequacy in marriage How lies about being unworthy often lead to withdrawal The threat to marriage that comes in the desire to prove oneself and why we often fall into that pattern What it means to recognize and use emotions as signposts during conflict The crucial role humility plays in healing and restoring a marriage Grab your copy of Lifted From Shame Order your eBook or print book on Amazon here. DISCIPLESHIP COURSE|STUDY OF THE WORDS AND LIFE OF JESUS IN SYNOPTIC GOSPEL |UPGRADE |CHIMDI OHAHUNA Welcome to yet another profound teaching session in the study of the Words of Jesus, a journey through the teachings of Jesus Christ. Previous episodes on the first words of Jesus according to Mathew chapter 3 reveal how the words spoken by Jesus resonate in our daily lives and shape our understanding of suffering, purpose, and glorification. At every point in our journey with God, we are invited to perceive our trials through the lens of the ultimate goal, which is to see the end, the glory that lies ahead. We explore the profound truth that the purpose of the suffering Servant was to pave the way for the Glorified Conquering King. Discover how the suffering we endure aligns with God's divine plan, revealing our destinies and the manifestation of Christ's power within us. Also, learn about the phases of service to God and ministry. Each phase comes with its challenges but remember: the suffering you face is not the end. It is a precursor, a necessary step towards the fullness of your calling. We encourage you to endure and embrace these trials, for after each climax of suffering, a new chapter of glory awaits. In addition, discover the remarkable contradiction that, at our peak of weakness, strength, and glory are often revealed most vividly. When the circumstances surrounding you appear dark—when it feels as if Christ is distant—know that those moments mark a key turning point, a time when your worthiness and the glory of God's presence are about to break through. Beloved, reflect on your own journey of faith, to find encouragement in times of hardship, and to recognize the powerful truth that every experience you face is orchestrated for a divine purpose. God is crafting something beautiful through each of us. Are you ready to explore the transformative impact of Jesus's words? Subscribe now and journey with us into the depths of faith, suffering, and the glorious hope that lies beyond! New Age spirituality promotes the belief that Christ is within everyone and everything, that Christ is a principle not a person, that the Christ-nature is something different than the man, Jesus. This mindset has been promoted primarily by advocates of yoga, Far Eastern religions, Metaphysics, and the New Thought Movement. Surprisingly, however, some who profess Christianity are now also endorsing this view. Is this deeper revelation or a dark deception? Summary: Walking in the footsteps of Jesus begins with learning obedience. The things that we go through mold us into what God wants. Suffering is used by the Father to develop us into His sons. The result is a relationship in His presence and God pouring out His holiness on us. Show Notes: Do you believe God feels pain? He feels pain when He sees what has happened to His creation, especially the miserable plight that the human race has manifested. Why do people suffer? It may not have been the plan for individuals, but some seem to open up in a deeper way through suffering. This is a mystery. As a forerunner, Christ experienced suffering as he matured, not just when he was crucified. As Paul wrote, it's a privilege to help fill up the sufferings of Christ. He disciplines for our own good so that we may share in His holiness. It's our choice. Quotes: We see in the gospels how Jesus thought and reacted. Matthew 23:37 “How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. Suffering has a way of either opening your heart wide, or it closes it. He allows you to go through it because you're going to open up to His love in a deeper way. The pain and sufferings we go through are allowing us to touch a part of God that is real too, that nobody wants to talk about or even acknowledge. We're becoming more like the Lord, who became more like His Father. This is what we're in this process of. We're becoming more like our Father who created us after His image. References: Hebrews 5:7-8 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. Colossians 1:24 (Fill up the sufferings of Christ) Isaiah 6:5 (The Lord appears to Isaiah) Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children heirs also heirs of God, and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may...

In September, after I'd been here at Redeemer for only one month, I had to have cataract surgery. Never mind that I had decided when I was young that I would never need cataract surgery. Apparently it wasn't my decision. But people told me that cataract surgery is no big deal. That's true about the surgery. It's a simple procedure. What WAS a big deal was the instructions the doctor gave me. He said that I could not wear eye makeup for a week after surgery. And I panicked. It sounds funny when I tell you how devastating this was for me, but here's why. When I was in seventh grade, my social studies teacher read aloud from our world history book a passage about the history of China. The book went into detail about the Chinese people--their weird singsong language, their strange habits, their yellow skin, and especially, their grotesque slanted eyes. As he read, my schoolmates turned around and made slanted-eye faces at me, laughing. It was humiliating to my core. I felt deep, deep shame at myself, and deep, deep fear of the world that suddenly made itself known to me. At that moment, I was exposed as an unacceptable human being--not truly human, but rather, Chinese. Lowly. Mostly, it was the eyes. So from that time on, for the next sixty-plus years, I began wearing eye makeup--not to look better, but to hide who I really was--a person of Chinese descent with those strange habits and the grotesque slanted eyes. I put on eye makeup every single day, no matter what--even when I was sick, in the hospital, in the middle of the pandemic when I knew I would not be seen by anyone. I wore it to hide who I was from myself as well as from the world--lowly.

While the war in Israel continues, indications of the Ezekiel 38 war crosses the thoughts of many who follow Biblical Prophecy. Even many in the world are concerned about the impending threat of World War III, as major countries gain nuclear weapon capability. And while these are legitimate concerns, it must be understood that there is an even fiercer battle that is being waged in the spirit realm - over the God of Israel, and the souls of men.Scripture does confirm that there most definitely will be a war that affects the whole world and the countries that inhabit it – but that war will not bring the world to an end – it will instead provide the pathway for the entrance of the Antichrist, who Scripture reveals will make a false peace treaty with Israel. Things will then – for a time – appear to be calmer as he convinces the world that he is the awaited savior who will finally take care of all of men's needs.Scripture also confirms that this man of lawlessness will rule over a Global Governmental, Religious, and Economic Empire. And in this series, we have been addressing the “One World Religion” and the “Cosmic Christ” who is Lucifer's counterfeit of Lord Jesus the One and Only True Christ. The Cosmic or Universal Christ is already drawing many into its deadly deceptions, as the “One World Religion” reaches its almost full and complete status, making the need for those who are true Believers in Jesus the true Christ, to test the spirits even more diligently than we have ever done so before. For the “Cosmic Christ” has entered our midst with his “New Age” practices and mindset, and many have fallen prey to these seductive ploys. Therefore, “Love's Last Call” is heralding the true Gospel that reveals the true Christ – while there is yet time!Support the showVisit our website: https://agapelightministries.com/

We dig deeper into Paul's dealings with believers who hindered his teaching of the blessings in the far above the heavens. Most of our doctrinal enemies (who may rob of us "unsearchable riches, rewards, crowns, or the Prize) come in the form of Christians. They appeal to our carnal, religious nature. We wander from there and continue to look at the demise of the USA. How did we get from Andy Griffith to Three's Company to everybody jumping in an out of bed together on every show in just my lifetime?
Summary: What are the little things the Holy Spirit is asking of us? By being obedient, the Holy Spirit reveals the Christ is us. Disobedience is sin, the wages of which are death. “He who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven, will enter.” Show notes: • The simplicity of obedience , the small acts of obedience to the Holy Spirit brings the awareness of Christ in you. • What are the little things? • Put the scriptures up to your life as a plumb line. • If the Holy Spirit speaks to you even small things, do them, It is simple, be obedient when the Holy Spirit speaks. • The father chastens every son whom He receives. • When you are obedient in the small things, more will be entrusted to you. • Christ will reveal more of Himself to you. • It is the helper, the Holy Spirit who will help you into all things. Rev. Kenneth Bomberger gives today's prayerful thought based on the day's Scripture readings.
New Age spirituality promotes the belief that Christ is within everyone and everything. According to that approach, Christ is a principle not a person and is different from the man, Jesus. This mindset used to be heralded primarily by advocates of yoga, Far Eastern religions, metaphysics, and the New Thought Movement—people who intentionally use Christian-sounding terminology to help persuade people familiar with the Bible to accept their ideas. However, in recent years, there has been an overflow into some Charismatic and evangelical circles of this unique concept. Is this deeper revelation that needs to be embraced or dark deception that needs to be discarded?
