O Governo de São Paulo inaugurou, nesta sexta-feira(22), a Creche-Escola Crescendo e Aprendendo, no município de Parapuã(SP). A unidade escolar que custou R$ 3,5 milhões deve atender cerca de 150 crianças de 0 a 3 anos de idade.

O acesso desigual às creches no Brasil aprofunda a disparidade entre ricos e pobres. Embora tenha havido avanços nas matrículas, um estudo do Todos Pela Educação mostra que a desigualdade entre as classes sociais aumentou nos últimos anos. Atualmente, mais de 2 milhões de crianças de até 3 anos estão fora das creches por dificuldades de acesso, e o ritmo de expansão permanece lento e desigual entre as diferentes regiões do país. Para discutir os efeitos dessa exclusão na infância, entrevistamos Ivan Gontijo, gerente de Políticas Educacionais do Todos Pela Educação. 

Em entrevista no programa Olho Vivo, da Rádio Sideral, nesta segunda-feira, 11 de agosto, o Lions Clube de Getúlio Vargas anunciou o lançamento de seu novo grande projeto: a construção de uma "creche para idosos" no município. A iniciativa, que tem um custo estimado próximo a R$ 1 milhão, visa oferecer um espaço de acolhimento, atividades e socialização para idosos que passam o dia sozinhos. Para viabilizar a obra, o clube de serviço iniciará uma série de campanhas de arrecadação de fundos junto à comunidade, uma vez que o financiamento via Lions Internacional não está disponível a curto prazo.

O MP no Rádio desta semana traz entrevista sobre os direitos das crianças a vagas em creches públicas e gratuitas e ao recebimento da merenda escolar. A entrevistada é a promotora de justiça Elaine Palazzo Ayres, do Ministério Público do Paraná. In late November 2018, Grace matched on Tinder with a man named Jesse Kempson and the two decided to meet up.  They enjoyed visiting some bars and restaurants in Auckland.  The two hit it off and Grace decided to return to Jesse's place for the night.   She was last seen getting out of an elevator in his apartment complex and was never seen again.  Jesse murdered Grace that night.  Over the coming hours, Jesse made internet searches including "rigor mortis", "extra large bags" and "carpet cleaner".  He also went on another Tinder date that had been previously planned, while Grace's body was in his room. Jesse would end up confessing to Grace's murder and has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum non-parole period of 17 years. Segundo a Polícia Civil, a criança se engasgou após ser alimentada e, ao ser colocada para dormir em uma cama de solteiro, foi encontrada com os lábios roxos. Apesar da tentativa de reanimação e do acionamento do SAMU, o bebê não resistiu. O mais estarrecedor, segundo Spinosa, é que a creche, sem qualquer autorização legal, atendia cerca de 20 crianças e nunca havia sido fiscalizada. “Como pode algo assim passar despercebido por uma década?”, questionou, ressaltando a omissão de autoridades e a fragilidade da fiscalização. The Christchurch Civic Creche child sex abuse scandal rocked the South Island city in the early 90s - and went on to become one of the most significant legal battles in New Zealand's history. Childcare worker Peter Ellis was accused of bizarre and horrifying offences of satanic rituals, torture and sacrifice against preschoolers while he worked at the creche. He was eventually convicted on 16 charges of sexually abusing pre-schoolers and jailed for 10 years. In 2022 - after numerous failed appeals - the Supreme Court quashed Ellis' convictions, saying the police investigation and his trial were significantly flawed. Sadly, Ellis died before the landmark decision. In this episode of A Moment In Crime host Anna Leask goes back to 1991 when Ellis was first accused of child abuse - and tells his story from there. A comitiva também se reuniu com o prefeito Máximo Costa para tratar da retomada da obra, que atualmente se encontra paralisada.

A Shannon creche is set to benefit from the installation of a piece of potentially life saving equipment. Owner of KidzHaven, Siobhán Mulderrig, has confirmed that the creche has recently purchased a defibrillator to be used on site. All staff at the centre are trained first aid responders and the acquisition of the defibrillator is claimed to be very poignant as one of the kids in the service has a heart condition. Siobhán says government funding should be in place for equipment such as this, especially given the underlying condition of one of the kids in her care.
