While working on Wall Street, Michael Lee Stallard observed that differences in the cultures of merging organizations frequently sabotaged post-merger performance. As a result, he decided to study organizational culture in-depth, which led to writing two books about it, Fired Up or Burned Out and Connection Culture, and co-founding the Connection Culture Group (CCG). Since that time, Mike and his colleagues at CCG have developed frameworks, training and tools that have been praised by well-respected leaders. Mike has spoken about organizational culture at a wide variety of organizations.
Why is it that some organizations consistently outperform their competitors AND serve as great places to work? Is it the right strategy? Is it great leadership? Mike and Katie Stallard of E Pluribus Partners help organizations such as Sloan Kettering, NASA and others build what they call a "connection culture" where Vision, Value and Voice help employees, partners and customers feel engaged, empowered and energized. This dynamic duo shares their story of cancer, loneliness and resilience in a thought-provoking and inspiring episode.
The gut is likely the epicenter of not only our physical health but also a centerpiece of our emotional health and well being as well. Many people struggle on a daily basis to try and understand why they think and feel the way they do. Why they can remove certain thoughts... Why they can avoid taking certain actions... But in a very interesting way, the microbes in your gut and the microbes in different areas of your body have a very unique impact on your overall health.
Our special encore guest today is Michael Stallard.
