a live dog discovering that he doesn't want to be a dead lion. The year 1983 had its share of radical concepts, but perhaps none pushed the envelope quite like Mr. Mom, which dared to ask: what if a man… took care of his children? The answer, it turns out, is chaos and wackiness. Can a harried Jack Butler (Michael Keaton) figure out which ham to buy? How about keeping track of his kids in a grocery store? When his wife Caroline (Teri Garr) finds gainful employment, will the sexual lopsidedness of the arrangement completely unbalance the marriage? Will Jack ever figure out how to use the vacuum cleaner? So many questions - all of them tackled in this episode of Destroy All Culture. Listen below or find us wherever podcasts roam.

Sex. Sacrilege. Murder. Tennis. This podcast is all about three out of those four things. Sudden Death, a 1978 novel by Peter Brennan (creator of TV shows Judge Judy and A Current Affair), marks the first time Jack and Kate are venturing into the world of sports thriller fiction. Buckle up, because underneath those tennis whites there's a seething underbelly of drama and corruption. What could go wrong with a little nun-flavored sex work? Why does every character in this book have the most outrageous backstory ever? Will Jack and Kate learn anything about the sport central to this book? All these questions and more will be answered in this episode of Bad Books for Bad People. BBfBP theme song by True Creature. Join Jack & Joe as they choose their favourite things about the lexically broad married writing couple, Pip and Jane Baker! Will Jack survive the game of PipnJaneisms?
These last three weeks, LeeLee has found the movies to be subpar. Will Jack end his mediocre streak with Baby Driver? Or will we lose Leeann forever in a pit of despair? Let's talk about music, car chases, and a whole lot of action bukkake in today's episode of HHV!
We crack open the second half of season 2 by tackling the other, non-50-Shades film that co-won Worst Picture at the 2015 Golden Raspberries, Josh Trank's Fantastic Four (or is it Fant4stic?). We cover the history of film adaptations of Marvel's First Family, from the rights-hoarding Roger Corman attempt to this most recent version. Watching four movies repeatedly while adapting to a new job and multiple post-holiday season birthday celebrations made it hard to put together a full script, but thankfully Jack is a giant comic nerd and has a cornucopia of information to pull from regarding a wide variety of Fantastic Four stories from myriad writers, some tidbits about their creation by Jack Kirby, as well as the carousel of writers that were involved in this particular project. Will Jack and Joe be able to make heads or tails of this one? Will they end up revisiting weird superhero sex stuff? Will Jack finish the synopsis before the horses can catch up with him? All this and Josh Trank's Twitter decisions on another thrilling installment of DeRazzled! Do you not know that, when in podcasting, one must always choose the lesser of two weevils? On this week's episode of Revenge of the Film Nerds, BK & Jack take to the high seas & dive into a classic historical epic - one of Jack's favorite genres... & one of BK's least favorite. Hear how the film sprang from a beloved series of novels penned by a true eccentric, how 20th Century Fox saw the series as a potential tentpole franchise, how Peter Weir inspired so much passion & investment from the cast & crew, how the film became one of the last great high-budget historical epics, & so much more! Will Jack get BK to enjoy a period piece? You'll have to listen to find out!!!

Tread Perilously's month of Halloween TV continues with the 30 Rock episode "Stone Mountain." When Jack becomes displeased with Liz Lemon's attempts to find a new cast member, a folksy encounter with Kenneth the Page leads him to Stone Mountain, Georgia for "real American" humor. Liz is with him, of course, but a bad sandwich leaves her in the grips of Peppy Bizmilk. Will Jack's chosen local talent, a ventriloquist, be what TGS needs? Or will he learn some sort of lesson about his assumptions of the South? Meanwhile, Toofer, Frank, and Lutz try to sneak into Gay Halloween and Tracy becomes obsessed with the Rule of Threes. Justin is determined to get cancelled. He also freely admits there are problematic elements to Tina Fey's comedy. It leads to a discussion of the Fantasy genre's love affair with monarchy. Erik also discusses the problem with "the redneck voice." Justin recalls the comedy of the 2000s. Despite not being in the episode, James Marsden gets a shoutout. The pair also, once again, praise Jane Krakowski. They also compare the chuckle in various parts of the country and try to imagine Tituss Burgess as a Star Trek character. Also, unkind things about Jimmy Fallon may be said.
The mythical Griffin is half eagle, half lion, so it's a very strong creature. In this story, a brave boy called Jack goes on a quest to find the Griffin and seek help for a young boy who is not well. The Griffin can be very frightening and bad tempered. Will Jack succeed in his quest? Listen to Kate Corkery telling this slightly scary tale and find out. (ps happy ending of course!)

A BIGGER BOAT: LINCOLN *SPIELBERG FINALE*For the last two years co-host Jack has insisted that LINCOLN is the worst movie ever made and Spielberg is the worst director of all time. What began as a joke, "let's do a Spielberg season just so we can make Jack watch Lincoln again, hur hur," slowly became the impetus for our strangest season yet. Here we are, the finale, where Jack watches Lincoln again, with a ton of Spielberg as pre-gaming the last three months. Thomas read the Doris Kearns Goodwin book TEAM OF RIVALS, which is the loose inspiration for Tony, Pulitzer, and Emmy-winning legend Tony Kushner's screenplay, which Ken read (none of those awards were for Lincoln). We came into this hardcore prepared, y'all. Will Jack reassess or is it still the worst movie ever made? How successful were Spielberg and Kushner in adapting Kearns' award-winning book? Will Jack think differently about Spielberg as a director after having had to watch his legitimate classics alongside his Always' and Hooks? What are Jack's final ranking of the Spielbergs he watched this season? Will Spielberg gift Jack a 1989 Mazda Miata for having made it to the finish line? So many questions. Just listen and find out, okay? It's all here.
