We travel to the lush south-east Volta region to hear Ewe borborbor, agbadza and brass band music. In the northern city of Tamale, we hear Dagbani traditional music, hip-hop and pop, and visit the vibrant Damba chieftaincy festival in nearby Yendi. Stereotipi mogu da budu čak i dobra stvar u kontekstu pojednostavljanja stvarnosti, a kada je reč o umetničkim delima u kojima se pronalaze stereotipi – o njima treba da se razgovara i da se iz njih nauči kako ne treba. Rešenje je aktivno konzumiranje kulturnih sadržaja i medijska pismenost. Svi znamo priču: princeza se nađe u nevolji, i hrabri princ na belom konju polazi u avanturu da je spasi. Odvažan princ pobeđuje zmaja i oni žive srećno do kraja života. Jedan od anketiranih odgovora smatra da ovakav narativ nije u redu. “Kada se osvrnemo na sve Diznijeve princeze kojima je životni cilj da se udaju, i da nađu princa, i da žive srećno do kraja života, a pre toga čiste kuću kao Pepeljuga na primer, i tako dalje. To je užas. Ali mislim da postoje sad mnogo progresivniji crtaći i da to ide u nekom smislenom pravcu.” Dramaturškinja Divna Stojanov navodi da osim dominatno muških likova u crtanim filmovima, postoji još jedan problem. Osim što se žene često pojavljuju u pukoj ulozi domaćice, čak i kada su junakinje, njihove životne željenje su zaista niske. “Važno im je da se udaju”. “Ja se sećam i crtanih filmova i Dexter i Kremenko koje sam ja gledala kad sam bila mala, svi imaju potpuno neku drugu priču, bavili se nekim drugim temama, ali uvek će majka da se bavi kućnim poslovima, u tim crtanim filmovima, a otac ide na posao, zarađuje novac, vozi kola i tako dalje,” govori Stojanov. Ona pominje studiju Džini Davis, koja je radila za Institut za rodne studije i medije - u kojoj je analizirano preko 401 hiljada animiranih filmova i rekla je da ima duplo više muških likova u crtanim filmovima od ženskih likova. To nisu samo glavni junaci, nego svi junaci i junakinje koje se pojavljuju. A ženski likovi uglavnom pasivni, samo maštaju o ljubavi i nemaju ni jednu drugu svrhu. “I spremne su za tu udaju na bilo kakvu žrtvu. Recimo Mala sirena, koja je spremna da izgubi glas samo da bi bila sa princem u kojeg je zaljubljena. Ona nema nikakav drugi cilj u životu,” objašnjava Stojanov. STEREOTIPI NE NUŽNO LOŠI Smiljana Milinkov – medijska stručnjakinja i profesorica na predmetu mediji za decu na Filozofskom fakultetu u Novom Sadu objašnjava da stereotipi, pogotovo u crtanim filmovima, uopšte ne moraju biti loša stvar. “Kada su nam dati određeni kalupi u kojima se krećemo, onda nekako i najlakše razmišljamo i donosimo neko mišljenje i neki stav pomoću tih kalupa. Oni se generalno zato i koriste u predstavama, filmovima, crtanim filmovima zato što je najlakše prikazati na taj način određene karaktere i najlakše je doći do publike,” objašnjava ova profesorica. Dramaturškinja Divna Stojanov potvrđuje da su oni dobri, kada se na primer koriste da se bi se u priči napravio neki obrt. Ova dramaturškinja navodi primer. “Recimo ukoliko mi sad svi očekujemo jer je stereotipno, i u svim vicevima i većini filmova - da je devojka plave kose manje inteligentna. Ukoliko mi iznenadimo i napravimo obrt je ona super inteligentna i da njena boja kose apsolutno ne utiče na njene bilo kakve sposobnosti,” objašnjava ona. REŠENJE NIJE CENZURA “Ovaj program sadrži negativne opise i ljudi i kultura" i “Ovi stereotipi su bili pogrešni tada, a i sada su", stoji na upozorenju koji je Dizni postavio na neke od svojih starijih crtanih filmova poput “Damba”, “Petra Pana” ili “Mačke iz visokog društva”. Ti crtani filmovi uglavnom u sebi imaju rasne stereotipe. Kada je krenula kampanja ovih upozorenja – jedno vreme se pričalo i o tome da će biti povučeni i neće moći da se gledaju. Primera radi, pojedine dečije knjige Dokotra Susa su skroz povučene iz prodaje. Zato smo postavile logično pitanje – Da li treba da se odreknemo tih sadržaja, i da ih povučemo sa tržišta kako ne bi bili dostupni? Smiljana Milinkov – medijska stručnjakinja kaže da je mnogo važnije zajedno sa decom gledati sadržaje i ukaziati na stereotipe kao na greške. “Stava sam da ne treba se ničeg odricati i zabranjivati. Jako je važno, pogotovo kad je reč o deci mlađeg uzrasta. Jako je važno da roditelji ili članovi porodice budu uključeni u gledanje, da zajedno gledaju, da komentarišu. Da ukažu ovo što se dešava nije u stvarnom životu tako,” navodi Milinkov. IPAK SREĆAN KRAJ U anketi koju smo sproveli, naši sagovornici primetili su da se situacija u današnjim crtaćima menja na bolje. Takođe, prošlo je vreme kada se penjalo na krov da se podesi antena kako bi se uhvatili jedni isti crtaći na TV Palma plus. Šareni asortiman dostupan je na klik. “Mislim da stvarno u ovom trenutku postoji toliko izbora, i nismo više ograničeni samo time šta se prikazuje na televiziji, i apsolutno je onda odgovornost na roditeljima da biraju sadržaj za decu u skladu sa njihovim vrednostima. Prosto smo sada svi izloženi u svakom obliku nekim stvarima koji stvaraju stereotipe, i mislim da se na kraju sve svodi na vrednosti koje se uče kod kuće. Neće jedan crtać promeniti dete, ali ako se ta vrednost gaji posle u domu, onda definitivno crtani film može da podrži razvoj stereotipa.” Divna Stojanov, dramaturškinja mi je u razogovoru rekla da je pripremajući se za intervju jako puno razmišljala i o dobrim primerima. Jer, kako kaže, vidi se promena na bolje u crtanim filmovima. Kao primer navodi junakinju Mulan. “Mulan, kao devojka je pokazala da je je jednaka sa muškarcima i ne samo jednaka nego da ona je uspela da odbrani svoju zemlju, da spasi svoj narod. Mnogi zameraju Mulan, recimo što se film završava tako što se ona udaje za tog vojnika u kojeg je zaljubljena, ali opet sa druge strane ja ne vidim da je to problem. Ona želi da bude u vojsci ali isto tako nije zanemarila oni svoju ljubavnu stranu i tu je i takođe potreba svakog ljudskog bića pa tako i žene,” prerpičava Stojanov. To je, primetila i medijska stručnjakinja Smiljana Milinkov. Samo, ona ne misli da je to zbog toga što kompanije koje rade produkciju crtanih filmova žele da unesu promenu, već da one samo prate promene u društvu. “Ne verujem ja da bilo koja produkcija previše razmišljala o tome da li će širiti pozitivne ili negativne (stereotipe), nego mislim da se više oni prate promene u društvu. I reaguju. Jer današnje devojčice, nadam se da se vaspitavaju tako da budu aktivne, preduzetne, hrabre, da ne čekaju princa na belog konju nego da naprosto mogu same da uređuju svoj život kako smatraju da treba,” navodi ova stručnjakinja. Dečaci pak ostaju bez adekvatnih uzora. I muškarci plaču, podseća Milinkov. “Mislim da se se danas više vodi računa o tome da se ojačaju ženski likovi u crtanim filmovima dok se muški likovi i dalje prilično stereotipizirani u smislu da oni moraju da budu agresivni, hrabri, njima se ne dopuštaju osećanja. Oni su retko kad tužni. Sve ono što današnji dečaci nisu. Niti u bilo kom periodu ni jedna osoba nije uvek hrabra, jaka, snažna i mora da pobeđuje,” zaključuje naša sagovornica.
