Time management is the skill that can make or break you. If you don't work at developing it, you will likely reach a point where your schedule is no longer sustainable. In the early days of Fit-Flavors, time management was fun for me, almost like a game, but as time went on my schedule got increasingly complicated to the point that I was drowning in it. I had to learn and adapt to all of the things I had taken on if I wanted to be successful. What did that look like? Well, I had to get some help and I had to invest my time in the areas that most needed my attention. I started color blocking my schedule and noticing the balance I had between work and life in a given week. If you don't feel like you have enough time or you feel like you aren't spending your time on the right things, it can be so helpful to sit down and set up time blocks! You have to understand your schedule, how you work best, and move things around the week from there. * Get more information on time blocking: https://www.thecreatorsattache.com/timeblocking * Submit your question to be answered on the podcast: https://www.jilliantedesco.co/podcast * Connect with me on IG @jilliantedesco *Order your copy of my book, Owning the Wait, now! jilliantedesco.co
Fit-Flavors is going through a rebirth of sorts in terms of our standards. We're working to elevate and reset all the standards across the board in every department. Why? Because standards are often one of the most critical, yet overlooked aspects, of successful project management. They provide a crucial foundation for everything within a project, serving as guiding principles for all team members to work towards a common goal. Without them, business owners run the risk of confusion and miscommunication, which can result in delays and subpar results. Join my conversation with Cyd Rechtin as we share practical handles around how to set good and effective standards. *Submit your question to be answered on the podcast: https://www.jilliantedesco.co/podcast * Connect with me on IG @jilliantedesco *Order your copy of my book, Owning the Wait, now! jilliantedesco.co

In this episode, we sit down with Jillian Tedesco, founder of Fit-Flavors. Jillian began producing healthy, all-natural, pre-cooked/packaged meals that are portion controlled and ready to heat and eat. It started with cooking for a handful of clients that I was personal training…mostly as a favor to them because they did not have the time, knowledge, or care to cook. What I quickly found was that these clients were losing weight, gaining muscle, training harder and just felt better overall while eating the food I was preparing. The rest is history. It's now our goal here at fit-flavors to make the world healthier…one person, one meal at a time. Whether you're looking to lose weight, gain muscle, improve your health, or you're just crunched for time and looking to keep a few healthy meals in your fridge… fit-flavors has a solution for you!” (66) Healthy Prepared Meals - YouTube Healthy Prepared Meals - Healthy Fast Food - fit-flavors Aspen Legal (aspenlawteam.com) NutritionHQ | General Health, Weight Loss & Sports Nutrition Supplements --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ricky-hall97/support

I started Fit Flavors 12 years ago after becoming really frustrated that my personal training clients had a really hard time with learning how to eat right and executing a clean eating lifestyle. I fell in love with cooking and today we have a revolving menu that changes every season. We are always planning months in advance, and I got to thinking about how important it is to be passionate and clear about what you're doing, and constantly be wanting to innovate, move forward, and grow. Today on the Owning the Wait Podcast, I'm open about the ebbs and flows of my life, from moving frequently, to starting businesses, to navigating life during a pandemic. There's been a lot of change in my life, a lot of instability, and a lot of trying to get myself rooted and grounded. We are always trying to grow, evolve, and innovate, and we need to be moving forward to not get stuck where we are. Find me on IG @JillianTedesco
In this episode, we are reversing the roles! My husband, Jason, and I are reminiscing and answering questions about our earliest days with fit-flavors. We are sharing tons of throwback stories; living in a house with 9 refrigerators around our living room, giving birth while making a to-do list for the company, dropping my husband off at the medical center to get back to my clients' turkey meatloaf. Jason tells us all about watching fit-flavors grow from 10 pieces of Tupperware, to it taking over our home, to moving to a rental kitchen, to building a kitchen and seeing it come to life. Today I'm talking through how I worked to shift my mindset from self-sabotage, to putting my energy towards my relationship with God, and what effect that mindset shift had on not just fit-flavors, but my family's lives. Portion control is all about sustainability. If you're used to going out to eat, you're used to getting over-served. So, what is proper portion control? This episode will teach you my philosophy around portion control, one of the 3 pillars of nutrition that I build my company, fit-flavors, around. You may already know that a well-balanced meal should contain a quality protein, starch, and veggie, but how much do you need? Or better yet, what does a proper portion look like? Let's talk about it! Find out more at fitflavors.com Find me on IG @JillianTedesco or online at jilliantedesco.co Don't forget to leave a rating and review below! I can't wait to hear what you think!
On this episode, we chat about one of the 3 pillars of fit-flavors' philosophy on nutrition: quality. Quality food means real, minimally processed food that your body knows how to digest and use as fuel. When you eat mostly high-quality food, you will feel full and energized. The fact of the matter is we can't get 100% away from processed foods (and we wouldn't want to). Eating 0% processed foods restricts us unnecessarily and this all-or-nothing mindset often leads to a yo-yo of eating poorly. The key is balancing processed foods with high-quality foods. It's all about balance. Today, I will share more details about what quality food looks like and why it's important! The end of January is right around when most people give up on their New Year's resolutions, but for Jillian Tedesco, the founder and CEO of Fit-Flavors, to make a resolution and a life change stick, it's about much more than a date on the calendar. Tedesco started in the fitness industry at an early age and soon realized creating a healthy lifestyle requires both changes in the kitchen and the gym. So she started crafting meals for clients in her home kitchen. It took off and soon she was making hundreds of meals and running out of refrigerator space. After going to culinary school, she decided to take her side gig and turn it into a full-time business. Now there are four Fit-Flavors locations around St. Louis, with a fifth coming this spring to Sunset Hills. Walk into the storefront and you're greeted with walls of refrigerators filled with pre-made, pre-portioned meals to fit any health goal. But Jillian shares that so much of meeting and sticking with goals is about mental mindset. She shares tips and tricks along with the lessons she learned after hitting what she felt was a rock bottom point. To learn more about Fit-Flavors check out their website: https://fit-flavors.com/

Hi my friends, I hope you are having a most awesome day! So last week, I sat down and had the best chat with Jillian Tedesco, founder and owner of Fit-Flavors, St. Louis, MO. This amazing store, actually there are now three, provides delicious prepared meals AND they provide the ingredients and macro nutrients so we know EXACTLY what we are eating. And I think you are gonna LOVE this “real talk” between two entrepreneur/founders who are also moms and wives. We started with Jillian’s origin story which is SO good! At one point in the story she shared she started this business in her home with nine (that is not a typo), NINE refrigerators in her living room and a piece of plywood on two horses. We then took a turn and talked about how she is balancing it all. She has two children and a husband and three stores. She gives the most awesome tips and one of my faves about balancing and “leveling up”. We also talked about the following personal stuff: What she did to combat anxiety and depression, and why she still does it today. How she lost 17 pounds and kept it off. The number one thing Jillian eats to feel full throughout the day. The one wellness change that took me 8 months to make. … And loads more. I truly enjoyed my time with Jillian. Not only is she super smart, full of wise nuggets and funny, she is soulful, real and transparent. I hope you have an opportunity to take a listen to our coffee chat. And, I hope you enjoy Jillian as much as I did. Have an amazing day! Love you lots, Lors xoxo
