Gerhard Berger's final F1 victory was an emotional one, as he dominated the 1997 German GP at Hockenheim not only on his return after missing three races, but also in the aftermath of his father's death. In a special, additional episode for season 10 of Bring Back V10s, we've combined the next episode in our members-only '1997 Revisited' series with an exclusive interview with Berger, where he recalls his memories from that weekend. Before that, Glenn Freeman, Matt Beer, Ben Anderson and Edd Straw discuss the main talking points from the weekend, including Berger's winning return, the breakdown of his relationship with his Benetton team, plus Giancarlo Fisichella's heartbreak with Jordan, and a miserable weekend for Williams and Jacques Villeneuve. A long episode as Jim and Rich cover listener feedback and all the action from the German GP. It was a great weekend of racing that kicked of with Marc Marquez having a massive highside in practice. The Moto3 race was the best of the weekend as Alonso won another race this time leading for about half of the distance. Then we move on to Moto2 where Joe Roberts impressed by only losing 1 point to Garcia in the championship after breaking his collarbone last week. Aldeguer would win his second race of the season in semi-dominant fashion. Finally in the MotoGP race Martin lost his concentration crashed with two laps to go and lost the championship lead. Jim really deserved a long lap penalty for his tongue twisted word salad and the injection of a long lap penalty for Aldeguer in Moto2! We invite you to take a trip back in time - to a wet, soggy Nürburgring - as we re-live the 1962 German GP with Peter Windsor. The race resulted in a classic win for BRM's Graham Hill - but that was just the start of it. Hill was lucky to survive a lurid practice crash; Porsche, with Dan Gurney, were superquick after a week of testing; and for a while on Sunday, with mudslides making life perilous for the 350,000-strong crowd, it seemed as though the race might not happen at all. Peter details these events and more - and concludes this podcast with an assessment of the astonishing success of BRM chassis no 5781. With 23 top-ten finishes to its credit, is it the most successful GP car of all time? With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comAnd to pitbox.io. From the confines of a barn deep in eastern Germany, Adam, David and Neil ask whether Jorge Martin could be #1, did Marquez and Honda's happy hunting ground become a wasteland and if there is room for Pedro. Also delighted to chat to Ayumu Sasaki on this show! #MotoGP #paddockpasspod
Before last weekend, Marc Marquez had never lost a MotoGP race he'd started at the Sachsenring. What a contrast the 2023 German Grand Prix was: five crashes (three of them within 20 minutes in a single qualifying session), a trundle backwards to a finish outside the points in the sprint and then a non-start in the GP after a final crash in the warm-up.So is it game over for the Marquez/Honda relationship? That's certainly what The Race MotoGP podcast panel Simon Patterson, Valentin Khorounzhiy and Matt Beer reckon.Marquez's astonishing(ly bad) weekend is the biggest topic of conversation in our Sachsenring episode, from his actions after the dramatic practice crash with Johann Zarco through to his subdued exit from the weekend just before the main race was due to start. But those who actually contested the grand prix do get a look-in too, as we celebrate an amazing battle between Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia for victory, assess what might happen next in the title fight they're now in, and consider the chance of Martin edging out Enea Bastianini for a shock move to the works Ducati fold alongside Bagnaia in 2024.That great race followed criticism from some riders on Saturday of how "boring" MotoGP has become. Do they still have a point? And is the level of domination Ducati's now achieving - as it took eight of the top nine places in the German GP - as problematic as it might seem? Not going to lie to you folks, this was not a classic. Round 10 of the MotoGP 2022 World Championship brought the sport to Germany for the German GP at the Sachsenring and Fabio Quartararo broke the one man who could beat him over his knee. Francesco Bagnaia had the pole and the fastest ever lap of the track, but lost the lead at Turn 1, and by Lap 3, was in the gravel. We break it down and ask if his Championship is over? (Probably) We talk about why Germany was such a difficult race to watch. A combination of the sports technological problems dulling the product like ride-height devices (Ignoring the fact that two of them failed mid-race), the front tyre pressures playing a hand in the Aleix Espargaro/Jack Miller fight as passes were at a premium, and asking whether the sport is a bit too fast for its own good. We also talk about an all-time bad weekend for Honda Racing Corporation. For the first time in FORTY years, they left a MotoGP round without a point, and it's only that recent because that round they boycotted. Alex Marquez had a ride-height failure, Taka Nakagami crashed again, and Pol Espargaro had to withdraw because a rib injury suffered in a crash in FP1 meant he couldn't breathe properly while racing in 35 degree heat. Stefan Bradl was their only finisher, last, and with a burnt foot because the bike reached over 100 degrees celsius. So hot, water would evaporate on it. Sounds like a healthy team right? So we have a look at everything that's led to Honda being at arguably their lowest ever point as a MotoGP brand. All that on Motorsport101!

Welcome to Episode 60 of the Everything Moto Racing podcast! We hope you enjoy it! In this episode we discussed the upcoming GermanGP and Jack Miller's not-so-surprising move to KTM, plus all of the crazy silly season rumours that are going on at the moment. We also gave our race weekend predictions and more!
A huge thanks to Michael for taking some time to chat with us because he is, quite probably, the busiest person in the MotoGP™ paddock right now. Setting up the VisionTrack Racing Team in Moto3™, JuniorGP™ and the British Talent Cup has been a whirlwind and Michael delves into just what it takes to piece such a huge project together in such a small amount of time – all while being a regular pundit on BT Sport too! Miller's switch to KTM and the dramatic Catalan GP were two hot topics and as always, it's fascinating listening to Michael, so we hope you enjoy it! See you after the German GP. Listen through the German GP
Marc Marquez's sensational German GP victory is the main topic of conversation for Toby Moody, Simon Patterson and Valentin Khorounzhiy, while at the other end of the field, questions are asked about the disastrous turn Maverick Vinales' season has taken since he won at the start of the year in Qatar.
Join Tiller, Spunge and Coops as they try and untangle the twists and turns from the German GP.
Danil Kvyat getting a podium should be enough to tell you how this years German GP went. Max puts in a masterclass in the rain and Mercedes go full 2019 Ferrari and look like a bunch of bozo's, literally and figuratively. Can it rain at every GP this season?
