Borja Oriol sufre exactamente lo que se llama retinosis pigmentaria, lo que le ha llevado a una pérdida de visión gradual desde los ocho años. Una de las cosas más complicadas de sufrir esta enfermedad para él, es la pérdida de visión poco a poco, ya que como cuenta “es muy difícil darte cuenta”. La visión total la pierde con 18 años, cuando está estudiando la carrera. ¿Cómo se fue adaptando y sobreponiendo a esta adversidad? Al principio, nos cuenta, que “tenía que usar gafas pero después gracias a la tecnología pudo seguir estudiando”. Con una herramienta de la ONCE, puede leer sin casi necesidad del braille. Esta aplicación se puede encontrar en su móvil y en su ordenador. Aunque al principio quiso renunciar a la ONCE, luego se dio cuenta que su ayuda era muy necesaria para poder vivir y adaptarse a su nueva vida.
