Autosport Editor-In-Chief Kevin Turner sits down with News Editor Ed Hardy and Business Correspondent Mark Mann-Bryans to review the controversial 2025 Monaco Grand Prix, as well as looking ahead to this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. Lando Norris' brilliant pole lap and victory are mentioned, but the mandatory 2-stopper becomes the main point of contention, with Max Verstappen referring to it as nearer “Mario Kart” than racing. Is he right? Did the 2-stop change work? Is there another way to help Monaco as a race, or is it a “like it or lump it” race? Barcelona's also discussed, with the upcoming flexi-wing tests on the agenda, as well as the excessive tyre wear and its potentially difficult future with the Madrid GP looming over the horizon. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are heading for a showdown...and McLaren won't protect them.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsTensions are quietly building at McLaren as Andrea Stella confirms what many suspected: team orders between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are not just a possibility, but a certainty. The “when, not if” stance is a clear sign that McLaren is prioritizing championships over egos in 2025. With Piastri taking three wins from the first five races and Norris admitting to early-season struggles, the balance of power is shifting fast inside Woking. What does this mean for McLaren's future, and is Norris in danger of losing his long-held number one status? From strategic controversies in Japan to the looming pressure of the Spanish Grand Prix and the FIA's latest tech clampdowns, every race now carries enormous weight. Piastri's consistency, Verstappen's respect, and Mark Webber's backstage influence are shaping a rising title bid, while Norris must now fight to stay in the conversation. This video breaks down the stakes, the shifting dynamics, and why McLaren's ruthless new mentality could either crown a champion or crack the team in half. This isn't just a team battle, it's a battle for identity.#f1 #landonorris #formula1 #formulaone #oscarpiastri #piastri #norris #f12025 #saudiarabiangp #f1news #f1latest #f1updates #f1rumors #mclarenf1 #mclarenf1team #f1drama #redbullracing #maxverstappen

F1 travelled to Spain for Round 10 of the 2024 World Championship, and it was a race in Barcelona that told a strangely familar tale. Max Verstappen took the lead and early control of the race but had to hold on by just two seconds at the finish line as Lando Norris's McLaren chased down the Red Bull at the end of the race, but just came up short. Jake Boxall-Legge and Filip Cleeren join Bryn Lucas on the Autosport Podcast to ask whether Max Verstappen's flawless execution won him the race, or whether McLaren's bold strategy and Norris' poor start lost it for them. The trio also breakdown the chasing pack, with tension in the Ferrari camp as Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc argue post-race over their racecraft, where Mercedes fit in after a podium for Lewis Hamilton, and the why Aston Martin and RB struggled with new upgrade packages. Is performance converging at the front of the F1 field or have Red Bull just had some circuit-specific struggles of late that have given its rivals the chance of victory? That's the big question heading into the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona, a track where Red Bull would typically be expected to dominate and where Max Verstappen has won two years in a row. Edd Straw and guests Mark Hughes and Diego Mejia (from The Race en Español and Fox Sports Mexico) look at that topic, plus whether Sergio Perez can get back on track after his recent dip in form, and what a change to the superlicence rules could mean for Mercedes starlet Kimi Antonelli. Edd Straw and guests Mark Hughes and Diego Mejia (from The Race en Español and Fox Sports Mexico) look at that topic, plus whether Sergio Perez can get back on track after his recent dip in form, and what a change to the superlicence rules could mean for Mercedes starlet Kimi Antonelli.Want extra podcast content? It's almost time for Formula 1 to head back to Europe for Round 10 of the World Championship; the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. Ben Hunt makes his Autosport debut alongside Filip Cleeren and Bryn Lucas to discuss all the news in the sport, and preview the upcoming race. Included is a discussion about Kimi Antonelli and the recent rule change from the FIA allowing 17-year-olds the right to a superlicense at their discretion, and debate whether Kimi should be allowed to race at such a young age. The trio also ponder whether the upcoming F1 movie in 2025 will have a similar impact for younger fans getting into the sport to the Drive to Survive Netflix show. There's also a full preview of this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix, including whether McLaren can adapt their new car to Barcelona's lower speed corners, can Mercedes show their Canadian form was more than just a flash in the pan, and whether Ferrari can overcome their 2023 tyre-wear problems. Is Red Bull set to dominate again? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This weekend's Spanish Grand Prix kicks off a very exciting triple header for Formula 1, as the European leg of the season gets into full swing with three races in two weeks. Tom Clarkson is joined by 1996 World Champion Damon Hill to discuss who will be the big winners in Barcelona, Austria and Silverstone. After two tracks that have exposed their weaknesses, is Max Verstappen favourite to win the next three races in ‘Red Bull territory'? What lessons do McLaren need to learn from Montreal? Are Ferrari going to struggle again in Spain? And will Mercedes be competitive for the rest of the season? Plus, Aston Martin Performance Director Tom McCullough joins the pod to discuss the challenges of the Circuit de Catalunya, where Aston will be strongest in the upcoming races, and whether age really matters with the news that 17-year-old Kimi Antonelli could make his F1 debut sooner than expected. Got a question for our F1 Nation experts? Email f1nation@f1.com and we'll answer on a future show. 30 years ago, Karl Wendlinger's Formula 1 career was just beginning to rise after a strong start to 1994 with Sauber. But that all changed in first practice for the Monaco Grand Prix, when the Austrian lost control of his car as he approached the Nouvelle chicane and crashed into the barriers. After a long recovery to regain racing fitness, Wendlinger returned a year later at the Spanish Grand Prix. He wasn't the same driver though, and at the end of 1995, his time in F1 was up. Speaking to Tom Clarkson, Karl talks in great detail about the crash; why he still doesn't know the cause, how it affected him physically and mentally, what motivated him to race again, and how he processed leaving the sport. Plus, Karl remembers coming through the Mercedes junior programme with Michael Schumacher and the warm welcome Ayrton Senna gave him when he first arrived on the grid.
