Episode Description: On this special St. Patrick's Day episode of Nonsense, FNBob goes all out in green while kicking things off with a double “One's Got to Go” featuring Green Villains (Shego, Green Goblin, Riddler, Leprechaun) and Green Heroes (Beast Boy, Yoda, Link, Piccolo). Then, we dive into FNBob's Chicago St. Paddy's adventures before somehow ending up in a tech debate—Henvincible is in the market for a new gaming PC while FNBob stays loyal to his Asus ROG Ally X. Next, it's a nostalgic trip through Disney Channel Original Movies, with classics like Luck of the Irish, Double Teamed, and Full-Court Miracle. Finally, we break down the greatest movie trilogies and why Hollywood still can't make a good video game movie (seriously, why is this so hard?). From chaotic debates to childhood nostalgia, tech talk, and St. Paddy's shenanigans, this episode is all over the place in the best way possible! Episode Highlights:

"You can't make a career playing video games when you grow up." - every mom ever Wrong. You can if you're Chris Doyle. Chris grew up playing basketball at a high level, but when he tore every ligament in his knee in high school he had to channel his attention elsewhere... He turned it towards the NBA2K video game. And he was pretty damn good at it. As gaming continued to become more mainstream, Chris continued to get better and better. He regularly competed in the top ProAm tournaments and ultimately linked up with a team that won a $250,000 cash prize tournament. Shortly after that tournament the NBA decided to launch its own NBA2K league and Chris was drafted in the 2nd round for that inaugural season by the Toronto Raptors. He has since played 2 more seasons, one with the LA Lakers and one with the Minnesota Timberwolves, earning a regular salary as a pro and competing against the best 2K gamers in the world. In this episode we talked about what it takes to be a professional gamer, the growth of gaming around the world, and some of the wild experiences that come along with being part of the NBA family. If you want to keep up with what Chris is doing check him out over on Twitter @detoxysgt or on Instagram @cdoyle32. And if you're trying to hang with me on the internet... Update: This is a bit awkward... Have you ever had trouble adjusting after a big change? Marty here. It’s been a while since I’ve talked to you, and I’ve been a little bit ashamed of it. Once again, when life became hectic, I disappeared. It’s a pattern that I’ve repeated over and over again. Once you identify the pattern, it’s up to you to remedy it. That’s exactly what I’ve been doing. You would figure an email a couple of days a week that takes no more than 10 to 15 minutes to write wouldn’t be such an issue, but I digress. Here’s the first one back…(which is always the hardest) I don’t know about you, but sometimes I forget I have limits. I give myself an extremely hard time right up until the point to where I admit that I can’t do everything. But you have to remember to (consistently) do what you do well. It’s been chaos. Life delivered a big punch right to my face. This has been painful to admit (and a large part of my absence on social media), but I have moved back into the house I grew up in as a child with my parents and my wife of almost 9 years. It was a hard pill to swallow. My pride took a big hit. I had gone “all in” on myself and promised my wife that we’d “make it” after leaving behind a career as a school teacher. I got off the safe, guaranteed path to bet on myself. (This also caused quite a bit of conflict with my family) Life was good as a part time fitness kickboxing instructor, Brazilian/MMA jiu jitsu junkie, dabbling Rainbow Six Siege streamer and nutrition coach... at least in terms of enjoyment. Not so much financial success. I refused to play it safe, and I got slapped. And you know what? That’s good. I knew what I signed up for. I’ve taken responsibility for my results in life. Yes, there have been challenges to overcome, but it’s an amazing opportunity that I’ve been enjoying very much. It’s been an amazing opportunity to spend time and enjoy life with my parents. (I realize I’m very fortunate to have parents that love me, my wife, and my fur babies.) I wish the same thing for you, but I realize that life is not always sunshine and rainbows in that regard for most. And by all means, it has not been a walk in the park. I’ve been taking a behind the scenes role writing for my wife’s business “Endo Muse”, which is picking up steam every single day. I’m so proud of her and what she’s doing to change the world for her women. I’ve even been fortunate enough to pick up some other writing projects with the help of some friends. It’s been another amazing opportunity to implement what I’ve been studying and learning from Copywriting Secrets by Jim Edwards. Being able to put the right words on paper and online really is the single most profitable skill anyone can learn. So whether I’m writing for… Health, Fitness, and Wellness… MMA/BJJ/Kickboxing... Affiliate Offers for friends… Hunting... Gaming… Life and whatever else comes along… I have peace of mind knowing that I have the skills and knowledge to implement, and I’m gaining the wisdom needed to succeed along the way. With that being said, I realized that all you can do is get back on the horse and learn your lessons instead of spending your time viewing yourself as a failure. It’s also given me the opportunity to “overwrite” and change the meaning of a traumatic event… More on that later. The rebuilding process has begun, and we’re just getting started. I’ve found myself having a great time in this “new normal”, and I hope you are doing the same! Marty PS - I’m cooking up something really special. Keep a look out for the newly revamped podcast (Copywriting Siege)... It’s all about helping you find the right angle to approach your dream customers and meet them with the message they need to take action with you! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marty-white/message
