"Vietnam is becoming more open, more expressive, and more accepting. It's exciting to see."This was such a fascinating conversation with Phuong Truong, the owner of Twist Coffee Bar, one of Saigon's best LGBTQ+ friendly spaces. We talked about the evolution of queer spaces in Vietnam, how attitudes toward the LGBTQ+ community are shifting, and why sex education in Vietnam still has a long way to go.One of the things I loved most about this conversation was hearing how Vietnam isn't necessarily anti-LGBTQ+—it's just that for many people, it's still something new. As Phuong put it, many people in rural areas haven't been exposed to it, so their first reaction isn't rejection—it's curiosity. That's a perspective we don't often hear.Key TakeawaysLGBTQ+ spaces in Saigon are growing, and Twist Coffee Bar is a perfect example of that. Vietnamese society isn't necessarily anti-LGBTQ+—it's just that exposure is still limited in rural areas. The shift from a coffee shop to an LGBTQ+ bar was an organic one—and business actually grew. Sex education in Vietnam is still awkward and outdated, leaving young people uninformed. Vietnamese culture leans more toward acceptance than open discrimination. Today's show opens with the most recent hoax created by the Left and is being repeated by the Legacy/mainstream media and their paid stooges on social media. The hoax is called, Trump's Project 2025. It is nothing more than fearporn and a complete fabrication. Even the website is registered to the Joe Biden campaign. Marc Elias is nothing by a bed-wetting operative for the Marxist/socialists in the Democrat party, pushing that narrative. While we are distracted with the incompetence of Joe Biden, we may have missed a few things in the news. The House GOP revealed they have an email showing a connection between the office of New York Attorney General Lettia James and Mattew Colangelo as he moved into Alvin Bragg's NYC DA's office. Colangelo also listed two high-level White House operatives as professional references. Another item relates to California state senate bill 1414 which would make the selling of a child for the purposes of sex a felony. A group of LGBTQ activists testified that such a law would disproportionately attack their community. Now, why would they think that? The floating dock is going to be permanently dismantled after only operating for 21 days. Once again, that one story is a perfect microcosm for the Joe Biden presidency. Getting back to Joe Biden's problems, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was on MSNBC and was asked if she wanted Biden to still be the nominee. She had a politician's response. She said, “I want to him to do whatever he decides to do.” Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS), who is a practicing physician says he and the other doctors in the Legislature have talked about Joe's symptoms. They agree with the Parkinson's specialist who spoke on NBC NOW yesterday. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) told CNN he doesn't want Biden to run. He said, “Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win the election – and maybe win it by a landslide – and take with him the Senate and the House.” National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby went on with Brett Baier on Fox News to try to calm the reactions over dementia Joe. Unfortunately, Kirby tried using a story from two years ago as an example of how well he could handle a “middle of the night” emergency phone call. What's worse, the story was horrible even then. George Clooney just penned an Op-Ed in the NYT saying the Biden of the Thursday debate was the same Biden during the big fund-raiser her through three weeks earlier. Funny, no one mentioned Joe's cognitive issues then! George Stephanopoulos got caught on a TMZ hit saying he didn't think Biden can serve another four years. He has been made to apologize for telling the truth. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is daring Democrats to vote no on the SAVE Act. I also think the vote will be great campaign material and will provide a list of those who need to be primaried if any Republicans do not support the legislation. Finally, even on CNN, they are stating what many of us have said since she was selected as the VP. Donald Trump has been saying this on the campaign as well, that Kamala Harris was selected by Joe and an insurance policy to make sure he wasn't removed from the Presidency. This week's episode is our final episode exposing the pride and LQBTQ agenda with Garry and Melissa Ingraham. In part 4 we discussed why the culture is okay with exposing children to drag shows and parades, the difference between disorder and dysphoria, and the importance of parents standing up to protect their children. There's still hope, but it's up to the church to be a light to those in the LGBTQ community.
Garry and Melissa Ingraham are back for part 3 to expose the LQBTQ agenda in the culture. During this episode we will be answering the question, can Christians be gay? Check back in next Tuesday for their last episode in June to hear God's redemptive plan for those in the LGBTQ community!
Josh Hammer (2:29) - The Biden administration is considering allowing Gazan refugees into the United States. With the issues already facing our border, many conservatives are concerned this could get out of hand and Senator Bill Hagerty of Tennessee suggests it will be a danger to our national security. Marc Lotter (11:05) - Democrats are concerned that there will be a massive show of force at the Democratic National Committee convention in August. Is the Biden administration's handling of this situation to blame? Ryan Helfenbein (19:06, 27:57) - United Methodists overturned a measure that barred gay clergy from ordination. The second-largest protestant body is embracing the LGBTQ community. Is this an isolated movement or will other churches follow suit? Auron MacIntyre (36:28) - Friend of the program and writer at The Blaze Auron MacIntyre has recently released a book titled “The Total State : How Liberal Democracies Become Tyrannies”. He joins us to discuss.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Donald Trump appears to have done what Jeff predicted on this podcast months ago: locked up the nomination for his third attempt to win the national popular vote. But in the process, some new, large chinks in his Mar-A-Lago armor are showing up as some Haley supporters join the never-Trump movement. Trump has already started his annual “the election is stolen” mantra, apparently in anticipation of losing again. Meanwhile, President Biden gets two big boosts to his reelection chances: First: the new numbers about the recession that never was. In fact, the U.S. economy is soaring. Economic growth in 2023 was bigger than in any year of the Trump presidency. Just as important politically: Biden gets a rousing endorsement from the United Auto Workers which could prove critical in Michigan, Wisconsin and maybe even Ohio. We may have a border crisis, but Trump has ordered his supplicants in Congress to sink a bipartisan border bill – because he's more interested in having a campaign issue than a solution. In Michigan: Governor Whitmer unveils her priorities for 2024 focused on the basics: economic growth, education and the cost of living. Governor Whitmer is flanked by Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks and Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist as she delivers her State of the State Address. The Republican National Committee has started to move into the internal chaos that is the state's GOP. The Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission is working furiously to meet a deadline that's just days away for coming up with a new, constitutional map for Southeast Michigan legislative districts. Our neighbors in Ohio have launched a war on transgender people, with that state's Republican Legislature overriding Governor Dewine's veto of an anti-LQBTQ+ bill. We're joined by Detroit News politics editor Chad Livengood to talk about the politics of Whitmer's State of the State speech and the prospects of getting her program through the Legislature. Chad was a political reporter in The News' Lansing Bureau from 2012 through 2016 before becoming a reporter and columnist at Crain's Detroit Business. He rejoined The News' politics team in May 2022. =========================== This episode is sponsored in part by EPIC ▪ MRA, a full service survey research firm with expertise in: • Public Opinion Surveys • Market Research Studies • Live Telephone Surveys • On-Line and Automated Surveys • Focus Group Research • Bond Proposals - Millage Campaigns • Political Campaigns & Consulting • Ballot Proposals - Issue Advocacy Research • Community - Media Relations • Issue - Image Management • Database Development & List Management =========================== You really need this for your mourning coffee!

She made it clear that she would provide for her family, which meant her salon was going to be open for business in the face of mandates. Her public defiance of government overreach was the bold act that began a conversation about the rights of business owners that is still ongoing. Lindsey Graham is no stranger to battle. And her one of a kind, tell all journey, she nationally and publicly details both the grind and the glory of life. Drawing on past experiences and real world insights, Lindsey invites her followers into a journey that is both inspiring and enlightening. With vulnerability and candor, Graham unpacks her legal battle over the unconstitutional mandates and details her fresh start with strong faith and an unwavering conviction. Her boldness and unapologetic fight gives her fans and followers hope, backbone, and courage to boldly stand up for themselves, their families and their beliefs in the midst of the tyranny that has become commonplace. Lindsey Graham, branded The Patriot Barbie by cancel culture leftists, is a public speaker, conservative influencer, political activist and advocate for traditional Christians across the nation. She hosts The Patriot Barbie podcast, which is firing up liberals and activating patriots! She's the author of the book Targeted: One moms fight for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. She is an ambassador for Turning Point USA, the Director of Media Relations for Freedom Square and endorses many patriotic, America-first companies and candidates. She is the owner of the bold apparel company, Crown of Country, bringing trendy God and America loving apparel to conservatives. Lindsey is now a national household name for families on the right, and a thorn to the left. If you don't look for it, you might miss the sprawling complex called The Fieldhouse, positioned behind the old Phantasy Nightclub building in Lakewood. If you are not in the LQBTQ+ community, chances are you don't even know about it. I had the chance to speak with two women who each have distinct roles in the success of this evolving queer gathering space. Chelsea Huizing (known also as Ox, for her physical stamina and can-do attitude that's housed in a very petite frame), leads the food and beverage operations and Margaret Harper Jenkins manages media relations and oversees arts and culture projects. Both women found their way to Studio West 117 after years of professional challenges—primarily an inability to feel accepted for who they are and how they wanted to present to the world. The gathering place has created restaurants, meeting places, classrooms and sports programs for people who don't feel welcome in traditional settings but who embrace each other's expressions of diversity and uniqueness. Future phases include an expansion of personal services, retail, and even a hotel. For now, the anchors of Studio West 117 are three food concepts, including Trellis, Lakewood's only rooftop patio bar, and a flexible space that can be used for all kinds of social programming and outreach.
We meet artist Kyle Coniglio to discuss his paintings which have been described as 'fictional tellings based on authentic experiences'. Naturally, this leads viewers to search for clues in his paintings to understand Coniglio as an artist, as a painter. A good starting point, as his recent solo exhibition title suggests is Last Summer. The title talks about the particular kind of warming nostalgia from memories of the past, and also Coniglio's time spent on Fire Island.Fire Island which is parallel to the south shore of Long Island, New York, has long been a haven to LQBTQ+ visitors and residents alike. The island, a utopian-like place that is bountiful with queerdom, offers social freedoms that are less experienced in the outside heteronormative world. The island provides a space to build a society around another set of values. There is the sexual context which is well documented, but Coniglio also places importance on friendship, and how it brings people together. Because of this queer framework in which interactions are less bounded by traditional notions – connections to each other are more fluid. In turn, feelings of the fevered nature come to the forefront such as rejection, insecurity, isolation and shame. It is within the context of expanded communal interactions that these challenging notions can be candidly embraced.Orange, reds, blues, soft tans and even black –each portrait in the exhibition have different colours that are tied to a distinctive narrative. All the paintings together function to create a cast of characters and lexicon of emotional experiences. Characters wear briefs that are comfortably sculpted to their bodies, cut off shorts that are tailored around the waist to reveal lean legs, shirts that have been tied above the navel, or an epic combination: tote/beach/paint-brush bag that brings together queer, summer and artist modes of dress.Kyle Coniglio has his MFA in painting from Yale University and a BFA from Montclair State University. He has been a fellow of the Queer Art Mentorship program in New York and an affiliated fellow at the American Academy in Rome. His work has been included in shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Berlin. Conilgio had a solo exhibition with Taymour Grahne Projects, London, May 2022. Coniglio lives and works in Hoboken, New Jersey.Follow @KyleFyles on Instagram and visit Kyle's official website at: https://kyleconiglio.com/You can view images of Kyle's solo show at Taymour Grahne at this link: https://taymourgrahne.com/exhibitions/kyle-coniglio-last-summer Hosted on Acast.
