In this week's episode, best friends Zane Taylor Hughes and Dave Biscella talk about the time they recently spent together. They also discuss whether they are more comfortable sticking to strict plans or making it up as they go. They also reflect watching old VHS tapes of their younger selves and the play they were in together in high school. They also talk about where they originally learned improv and discuss art in prison, looking through old comics, dinosaurs, the fantasy genre, and more! They also interview Dick Butkus (not the football guy) and Stacy Rimjob of the Improv Troupe the No-Buts about the art of improv and how they aren't your grandma's improve troupe. They also check out an episode of a new hit TV show and play some diaries recorded during their recent travels. And, as usual, there's plenty of friendship and nonsense along the way. Look for new episodes every Tuesday wherever you get your podcasts or at MyShoesHurt.net. Please bare with us for the first handful of episodes, as they may not be released in the order they were recorded. So if something sounds off or we reference something you don't remember, it's not you it's us. The My Shoes Hurt Logo was drawn by Talia Bixler, Dave's 13 year old daughter that he's super proud of. The opening/closing theme is an excerpt from the song Out Come the Sun by You & Me Both from the EP of the same name. You can check them (it's really just one dude, Dave's buddy Westy) out here.

Tommy Dewey may seem casually cool and like he has it all figured out in this business, but it took "letting go" of perfection to land the jobs on CASUAL and THE MINDY PROJECT that made him feel like he could truly relax and embrace a fully realized character. A collegiate track runner at Princeton University, Tommy had big plans for Wall Street signing up for the LSAT twice. On hiatus from a stress fracture, Tommy accepted a challenge to audition for the two coveted spots in Princeton's improv troupe. No acting experience, but a innate sense of comedic timing and his sports driven ambitious nature landed him one of the two coveted roles out of 100 actors. Tommy not only secured the spot in the group, he eventually was the troupe's director and writer. Law School was still waiting for Tommy, but Tommy challenged himself with a summer intensive at RODA and now attributes his success to his fall back plan being writing. Yes, this guy can write! Tommy took a year off of acting to create and run the writer's room for his own show "Sons of Tucson." Listen in to hear how Tommy deals with nerves, how he runs a casting session for his shows, what really gets you the job, how to stay in the game and how his back up plan now is writing THAT ONE AUDITION'S LINKS: SLAYTEMBER WITH CASTING: Join us today (class limited to 30 students) THE BRIDGE: The Bridge for Actors TNTT ACTING MEMBERSHIP: The New Triple Threat Membership PATREON: @thatoneaudition CONSULTING: Get 1-on-1 advice for your acting career from Alyshia Ochse COACHING: Get personalized coaching from Alyshia on your next audition or role INSTAGRAM: @alyshiaochse INSTAGRAM: @thatoneaudition WEBSITE: AlyshiaOchse.com ITUNES: Subscribe to That One Audition on iTunes SPOTIFY: Subscribe to That One Audition on Spotify STITCHER: Subscribe to That One Audition on Stitcher CREDITS: Host/Producer: Alyshia Ochse WRITER: Erin McCluskey OUTREACH: Elle Powell WEBSITE & GRAPHICS: Chase Jennings SOCIAL: Imani Love
