This week on Kliq This, Big Kev finally gets to check something off his bucket list—an overdue Roman holiday that was years in the making. But this isn't your typical “celebrity goes to Europe” story. From chaotic baggage claim drama to a near-lost suitcase that almost derailed the entire vacation, Kevin and Sean unpack the highs, lows, and hilarity of international travel when you're 6'10" and fresh off bronchitis. What starts as a long-awaited romantic getaway turns into a globe-trotting saga that includes castle hikes with punishing inclines, a chance run-in with European mariachi music, and, oh yeah—Kevin just happened to be in Rome when the city got a new pope. If you're here for travel stories with Nash's signature blend of sarcasm and storytelling, this one's a can't-miss. But the show doesn't stay in Europe for long. Sean checks in with tales from a wrestling convention stateside, featuring surprise encounters with old faces and a conversation about why the indie scene might be struggling. Meanwhile, Kevin reflects on how Sabu deserves to be remembered, and how the toll of the wrestling business leaves its mark on everyone who walks through those ropes. Also in this episode: airline gripes, smoked salmon breakfasts, Delta One pods that still can't contain Nash's legs, and how WWE's lighting decisions during RAW are raising some eyebrows. And yes, Kevin finally addresses the fans who thought he took a call from Triple H mid-show last week. Spoiler alert: he didn't—but the reaction has him shaking his damn head. If you've ever wondered what it's like to explore ancient ruins, work through modern travel headaches, and still weigh in on the state of wrestling with the sharpest wit in the game—Kliq This #150 is your first-class ticket. Built between 1723 and 1725, the Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy, are one of the most famous staircases in the world. Consisting of 135 stairs spread over different levels, the steps were immortalized in the famous movie “Roman Holiday” and today are one of the most popular destinations of the “eternal City.”
It's Billys birthday month so he chose to do a month dedicated to his favorite actress of all time: Audrey Hepburn. So we take a look at the classic romantic comedy Roman Holiday about an American reporter(Gregory Peck) and a princess(Audrey Hepburn) as they wander the streets of Rome and fall in love. Hopefully Raul enjoys it too. Follow Billy and Raul on BlueSky @masterofpuns196 and @raulvaderrdz as well as the main show @synspod

We like the song "Breakfast at Tiffany's", so we figured we should maybe watch an Audrey Hepburn classic for our rom-com masterpiece and finale of the love lads season. Through missing co-hosts and unfortunate circumstances with guests, we are still bringing you our takes on love and scary faces. What modern film do we compare this ending to? Why is Seth chasing women across the U.S. like Forrest Gump? And who are Trojan condoms specifically ribbed for? Dana and Tom with Christine Duncan and Klarissa (I've Seen That) revisit Roman Holiday (1953): directed by William Wyler, written by Dalton Trumbo, Ian McClellan Hunter, and John Dighton, score by Georges Auric and Victor Young, starring Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn, and Eddie Albert.Plot Summary: In the pantheon of classic cinematic escapades, "Roman Holiday" stands as a luminous testament to the transformative power of love and the allure of adventure. Picture this: a weary princess, suffocated by the pomp and circumstance of royal life, seeks solace in the vibrant heart of Rome. Audrey Hepburn, in her iconic role as Princess Ann, embodies youthful exuberance and longing. Her quest for normalcy leads her into the unsuspecting arms of Gregory Peck's Joe Bradley, a hardened journalist looking for his next big scoop. This isn't just a love story—it's a celebration of serendipity. The narrative waltzes through the cobblestone streets of Rome, capturing the city's soul through enchanting vignettes: a Vespa ride, a mouthwatering gelato, and a dance by the Tiber. The chemistry between Hepburn and Peck is palpable with their performances grounding the whimsical tale in emotional truth. But "Roman Holiday" is more than escapist fantasy; it's a poignant commentary on the dichotomy between duty and desire, a meditation on the fleeting nature of freedom. As Ann returns to her royal obligations, we're left with a bittersweet reminder of the price of responsibility. In an era where reality often feels burdensome, this film invites us to lose ourselves in its magic, if only for a moment.Guests:Christine Duncan - Wife of Dana and Mother of Tom14x guest: Pretty Woman, Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, There's Something About Mary, My Fair Lady, Pillow Talk, The Odd Couple, Bringing Up Baby, A Few Good Men - Revisit, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Top Gun, Dial M for Murder, Anatomy of a Murder, and
This week Lara records remotely while on Roman Holiday with special guest & travel companion, Michelle Collins. The two gals recap their ultimate Italian girls trip with tales of handbag returns, Martha Stewart sweaters, photo booths, sexy pharmacists, bird sh*t, salty bore meat and much much more. Then on RHOSLC, the ladies head to Palm Springs via PJ for Todd and Bronwyn's Anniversary. The vibe is awkward as Bronwyn is fighting with Heather, Lisa is avoiding Bronwyn and no one seems happy to be there. One thing for sure is that Todd has had a f*cking nough and intends to bring a machete to a nerf gun fight - whatever that means. The episode ends with a “To Be Continued” cliff hanger after Todd tells John that if Lisa doesn't cool it, they'll need to pack their bags and go - good luck with that, Todd! We are discussing Indy's favourite romantic comedy: the Audrey Hepburn & Gregory Peck classic Roman Holiday! Join us as we get into the fantastic casting, the departures from the romcom formula, Hollywood blacklists, reverse makeovers, and struggles for self-determination in Audrey's breakout film! Roman Holiday is a 1953 American romantic comedy film directed and produced by William Wyler. It stars Audrey Hepburn as a princess out to see Rome on her own and Gregory Peck as a reporter. Hepburn won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance; the film also won the Academy Award for Best Story and the Academy Award for Best Costume Design, Black-and-White. The script was written by John Dighton and Dalton Trumbo, though with Trumbo on the Hollywood blacklist, he did not receive a credit, and Ian McLellan Hunter fronted for him. Obviously, many of us film fans see movies in theaters througout the year, whether it be at a national chain or at an independent, arthouse theater - or both. Some of us are even hitting film festivals, special screenings, and for the truly unhinged cinephiles, film marathons. For these kind of events to happen though, there have to be some mad geniuses behind the scenes. Those people are film programmers, and they do so much for our the culture of our fandom; from tracking down film the best quality prints available, to figuring out who owns the rights, to actually making the screenings happen. A lot of times their success comes down to the sheer passion they have for these offbeat, awkward, or just downright strange and fucked up motion pictures that makes them want to pass that along to new viewers. In other words, helping new fans Discover the Horror! One of those mad geniuses is Will Morris, who is one of the programmers for the world-famous Music Box Theatre in Chicago. Eddie Albert played a sadistic prison warden in 1974's The Longest Yard starring Burt Reynolds. He was twice nominated for the Academy Award for his 1954 performance in Roman Holiday, and the second in 1973 for The Heartbreak Kid.
