Flyweight Boxer Kenshiro Teraji Shows Confidence before World Championship
We're back off the weekend to recap the women's unified welterweight title showdown in London and we have an American Olympic prospect ready to make his pro debut with us, as well as, fight news and some Ali-Frazier nostalgia on the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast!"Host T.J. Rives is back with insider Dan Rafael of his Fight Freaks Unite Substack and Newsletter to go over it all.First, it's a recap of the Boxxer main event from Friday in London, as Lauren Price won over Natasha Jonas and unifies the WBC/IBF/WBA/IBO women's welterweight crowns. Price was younger, faster and better. What's her future? They also recap the ProBox main event from Saturday in Long Beach, Calif. with featherweight Joet Gonzalez decisioning Arnold Khegai in close, exciting finish to a 10 round bout Next, we have previews for the Wednesday No Limit Boxing main event in Sydney, Australia: Brock Jarvis meets former unified welterweight champ, Keith Thurman over 10 rounds in a junior middleweight main event. There are big plans for Thurman after this, but does he have anything left after another long layoff? Then, on Thursday it's the Teiken Promotions main event in Tokyo: with Kenshiro Teraji taking on Seigo Yuri Akui for the WBC/WBA flyweight unification. This should be an all action battle with Teraji being a huge fan favorite, as well. Then, hear from Omari Jones, who turns pro with Matchroom Boxing on DAZN on March 15 card in his hometown of Orlando, Florida, This is on the Ammo Williams-Patrice Volny main event with Edgard Berlanaga in the co-feature Then, some news:The NYSAC on Friday declined to overturn Tank Davis-Lamont Roach result and the draw will stand. The guys have takes. Also, Canelo Alvarez and the unknown William Scull met the media in NY on Thursday for the kickoff presser of the May bout that Canelo could sleep walk through. And, also, heavyweights Efe Ajagba and Martin Bakole will fight on the May 3rd on the Canelo-Scull undercard. The bout just wont be an IBF eliminator like it was supposed to be when it was on May 2 on the Times Square card. We wrap with Nostalgia:March 8, 1971 – 54 years ago on Saturday – Smokin' Joe Frazier defeats the Greatest Muhammad Ali at famed Madison Square Garden. Arguably, it's the biggest fight in boxing history. There's lots to go over.March 9, 2013 — 12 years ago Sunday – Bernard Hopkins Hopkins outpointed Tavoris Cloud to win the IBF light heavyweight world title to, at 48, become the oldest fighter in boxing history to win a world title. That broke the record he set at age 46 with his historic light heavyweight title victory over Jean Pascal. We reminisce.

Join us for a deep dive into the world of boxing on our live show, where we analyze the major matchups and headline-grabbing events from across the globe, as Lukie and Dakota ramble on.First, we discuss Artur Beterbiev's controversial victory over Dmitry Bivol to become the undisputed light heavyweight champion. The fight was a tactical masterclass but left fans divided, with some comparing it to classic bouts like Leonard vs. Hagler, while others felt it lacked the thrill of an all-out war. Did it live up to the hype, or will this bout be more debated than celebrated? We also look ahead to junior middleweight Tim Tszyu's highly anticipated title fight this Saturday, live on Amazon Prime, where he looks to cement his place among the world's top junior middleweights. Will Tszyu continue his rise, or will his opponent and IBF titleholder Bakhram Murtazaliev, spoil the party? In addition, we highlight Fabio Wardley's explosive first-round knockout of Frazer Clarke, which sent shockwaves through the heavyweight division. With talks of Wardley taking on names like Otto Wallin or Jamaine Franklin, is he destined for a major title shot soon?Chris Eubank Jr.'s knockout win over Kamil Szeremeta and his escalating feud with Conor Benn is another hot topic. Is this grudge match the next big showdown in British boxing, or just another flashy sequel in the making?Next, we cover the ongoing rise of Ben Whittaker, who faced unexpected adversity against Liam Cameron, ending in a technical draw after a dramatic tumble over the ropes. Will Whittaker bounce back stronger, or is this a sign of more challenges ahead? We then shift focus to Japan's thriving boxing scene, where major upsets and knockouts stole the spotlight. Masamichi Yabuki's stunning knockout of Sivenathi Nontshinga for the IBF junior flyweight title and Seiya Tsutsumi's upset win over Takuma Inoue are just some of the highlights. Plus, Kenshiro Teraji's 11th-round KO of Cristofer Rosales showcased his all-action style, while Junto Nakatani's dominant win solidified his status as Japan's next rising star.Join us as we break down all these fights and more, offering expert analysis, predictions, and debates on the biggest moments in boxing. ~ Call/text anonymously: 833.LVX.PODS~ Follow the show: https://lvx.at/boxingWe start with some somber news: Kazuki Anaguchi passed away at age 23 on Friday evening after falling into a coma from a subdural hematoma he suffered in his brutal fight on December 26th. He was barely concious as he reached the locker room, was unconcious by the time he arrived at the hospital, and he simply did not wake up. Condolences to his family. On a disappointing note, Tyson Fury sustained a pretty bad cut on his left brow during training and the undisputed fight with Usyk has been delayed back to mid-May. On another disappointing note, Conor Benn wins by UD in Vegas. You'll have to listen to hear why that would be disappointing. Munguia delivers a dynamite win with a MOSTLY entertaining undercard. Kenshiro Teraji retains his belts after a close decision and Tenshin Nasukawa continues his career.
