OV SULFUR have unleashed their debut full-length album, "The Burden Ov Faith", via Century Media Records. Wilson comments: "Having Howard (Jones - LIGHT THE TORCH, ex-KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) hop on the album version of 'Wide Open' was the best thing that could have happened. We knew we wanted the song on the album, but we also knew it needed new life to live alongside the rest of the songs and not just be tossed on there. It's crazy to us he wanted to work with us - less surprising is the fact he absolutely killed it. We just gave him the song and lyrics, and we let him do his thing. He really pushes the song to another level with both his screaming and singing. What a legend!" Of the album, OV SULFUR vocalist Ricky Hoover comments: "I'm beyond proud of what we've created on 'The Burden Ov Faith'. Who would have thought I would be screaming on new music over a decade after leaving Suffokate - let alone singing?! I legitimately didn't think I was ever coming back to music period when I left back in 2012, so to have an album out on one of the most respected labels in metal is mindblowing. Huge shout out to all my band mates and everyone who worked to create this with us - and everyone who takes time out of their life to listen!" Crafted by the band alongside producer Morgoth Beatz (WINDS OF PLAGUE, SCARLXRD), then mixed/mastered by maestro Josh Schroeder (LORNA SHORE, TALLAH), "The Burden Ov Faith" sees the two split engineering of vocals and drums, respectively, with former MACHINE HEAD guitarist Logan Mader stepping in to capture the guitars and bass. The resulting album spans the stygian planets of deathcore, black metal, and metalcore, creating something as majestic as it is hook-laden. It also finds vocalist Ricky Hoover exploring the singing side of his voice, which he'd developed over years in choir as a child and only now added to his impressive growls and screams on a metal album. The second half of the podcast will see Loaded Radio's Scott Penfold and Jules discuss the "Top 13 Nu-Metal Bands Who Defined The Era". Tune in via the player or wherever you get your podcasts.

Daniel Cleland is CEO of Soltara Healing Center, which gained worldwide recognition in 2019 as the preeminent Shipibo healing center outside Peru and is now regularly visited by the most prominent influencers, celebrities, and public figures. One of the patrons includes Logan Mader who he met backstage at a concert in 2020 when Mader expressed interest in an ayahuasca retreat at Soltara. Shortly after meeting, Cleland founded the now internationally acclaimed band Savage Existence and Mader produced their debut album, “Animals.” Since then, the Savage Existence has toured with iconic acts like Sepultura, Monstrosity, and more and is working on their second album coming out in 2023. Cleland holds a Masters of Intercultural and International Communication, but he learned his hard-knock style of scaling from years of traveling, living, and hustling in the merciless Amazon jungles of South America. He is often referred to as “The Indiana Jones of Entrepreneurship,” after applying the principles in this book to his company, his band, and everywhere he sets his sights.Daniel's new book, "12 Laws of the Jungle: How to Become a Lethal Entrepreneur" has been called "your must-have machete for the jungle of entrepreneurship." The foreward was written by Patrick Bet-David of Valuetainment, and the book lays out the 12 laws Daniel learned while living in the Peruvian jungle and how they are necessary for every entrepreneur to understand to survive and thrive in the unforgiving jungle of entrepreneurship. In this episode, Daniel Cleland and Beth Weinstein discuss …▶ The major accident Daniel was in around age thirty that led him to deeply self-reflect and led him to work with ayahuasca▶ How ayahuasca helped Daniel transform many emotional and spiritual aspects of his being that had been holding him back▶ Choosing entrepreneurship as a path, beginning by leading groups to South America to work with ayahuasca▶ How Daniel's work with ayahuasca catalyzed enormous creativity and eventually inspired the idea of building an ayahuasca healing center▶ The many challenges of creating and running a healing center from a business standpoint▶ Should work with plant medicines be free? What are some of the real costs involved?▶ Various price points Soltara offers to help make their program accessible to more people▶ A second center Daniel has opened up in Peru which is relatively more rustic and economical▶ Daniel's new book, 12 Laws of the Jungle: How to Become a Lethal Entrepreneur▶ Should we be using ayahuasca to help catalyze entrepreneurial creativity and solve business problems?▶ Soltara's approach to integration and the affiliated virtual community called “The Maloca”Daniel Cleland's Links & Resources▶ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/danielccleland▶ Purchase 12 Laws of the Jungle: How to Become a Lethal Entrepreneur: https://linktr.ee/12lawsofthejungle
This week we're joined by famed Youtubist Kay of Kay and Skittles. When we started this pod they immediately got in contact and insisted we have them on for a Metal Gear Rising Revengeance episode. A game we all love that's seen a bit of a resurgence in recent years — not so much for its soundtrack — but as we discuss, the songs mirror the story and themes of the game quite strongly. The EDM inflected Nu Metal gives it a very specific vibe and we love it here on the pod. 00:00:00 Jamie Christopherson; Jason Miller - Rules of Nature (Platinum Mix) 00:02:29 Talk 1 00:12:41 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Tyson Yen - The Only Thing I Know for Real (Maniac Agenda Mix) 00:15:03 Jamie Christopherson; Akira Takizawa; Graeme Cornies - I'm My Own Master Now (Platinum Mix) 00:17:09 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Maniac Agenda - A Stranger I Remain (Maniac Agenda Mix) 00:19:32 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Maniac Agenda; Kit Walters - The Stains of Time (Maniac Agenda Mix) 00:21:43 Talk 2 00:28:51 Jamie Christopherson; Akira Takizawa; Graeme Cornies - Dark Skies (Platinum Mix) 00:31:09 Jamie Christopherson; Akira Takizawa; John Bush - Return to Ashes (Platinum Mix) 00:33:23 Jamie Christopherson; Akira Takizawa; Kit Walters - A Soul Can't Be Cut (Platinum Mix) 00:35:39 Talk 3 00:41:12 Jamie Christopherson - Chasing The Wind 00:43:16 Jamie Christopherson - Rising Action 1 00:45:08 Jamie Christopherson - Dwarf Gekko 00:47:12 Jamie Christopherson - Mystical Ninja 00:49:24 Talk 4 00:58:27 Jamie Christopherson; Ferry Corsten; Akira Takizawa; Logan Mader - The Hot Wind Blowing featuring Ferry Corsten (Platinum Mix) 01:00:44 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Maniac Agenda; Jason Miller - Red Sun (Maniac Agenda Mix) 01:02:54 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Maniac Agenda; Jimmy Gnecco - Collective Consciousness (Maniac Agenda Mix) 01:05:31 Logan Mader; Jamie Christopherson; Akira Takizawa; Pete Crossman; Jimmy Gnecco - It Has To Be This Way (Platinum Mix) 01:08:25 Talk 5 01:22:08 Jamie Christopherson, Pete Crossman, James Chapple, David Kelly, Graeme Cornies - The War Still Rages Within Podcast Twitter: https://twitter.com/crtpodsystem Reese's Twitter: https://twitter.com/yourverygoodbud Tom's Mastodon: https://jorts.horse/@forpush Reese's Mastoton: https://jorts.horse/@yourverygoodbud Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/crtsoundsystem Podcast Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/crtsoundsystem Email: crtpodsystem [@] gmail Kay's Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@KayAndSkittles Kay's Twitter: https://twitter.com/kayandskittles Kay's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/kayandskittles AGAB Pod: https://twitter.com/agabpod VGATWTOE Pod: https://twitter.com/vgatwtoe CRT Artwork by https://www.instagram.com/juicezombie.art/

In less than a decade, Los Angeles-based band Once Human have been taking the heavy metal world by the horns and have made a name for themselves. Their highly-anticipated 3rd album “Scar Weaver” is a testament to that journey that began with guitarist Logan Mader and frontwoman Lauren Hart in 2014. We chat with the talented duo in this episode to talk about the dedication and hard work that was put in behind this vicious album-of-the-year contender. “Scar Weaver '' turns things up a notch not only lyrically and musically, but it also propelled each member in the band to be a better version of themselves. Logan and Lauren both go into detail that resulted in expanding on their musicianship. The two partners have been on quite the journey since they first met, and with just 3 albums in their arsenal, it feels as if it's just the beginning. From groove metal, metalcore, and even melodic death metal – Once Human blends in all the elements with brute force and majestic compositions that will leave any live show in its wake (in a good way, that is). In episode 21 of Business, Life, and Ayahuasca I sit down with one of my brothers for life, Logan Mader, as we wrap up the production of my first studio record. Logan Mader is a Canadian-American record producer and current guitarist in melodic death metal band Once Human, as well as former lead guitarist in groove metal band Machine Head. Logan Mader is also a freelance producer producing for the likes of Gojira and DevilDriver. Dan discusses the healing benefits of ayahuasca & plant medicine & his entrepreneurial journey in the plant medicine industry. He talks with top minds like Aubrey Marcus, Dorian Yates, Dennis McKenna, & Patrick Bet-David. “No one can have your psychedelic experience for you; you just have to screw your courage up & raise the cup to your lips & face what's in there.” - Dennis McKenna on psychedelics & plant medicine “Ayahuasca is a symbiotic ally of the human species.” - Dennis McKenna on ayahuasca & plant medicine “Ayahuasca is changing global environmental consciousness.” - Dennis McKenna on ayahuasca & plant medicine “Life itself is a drug experience.” - Dennis McKenna on psychedelics & plant medicine “Psychedelics are not suppressed because they are dangerous to users; they're suppressed because they provoke unconventional thought.” - Dennis McKenna on psychedelics & plant medicine “We never feel completely ready for life's big decisions; but in taking the leap, we push ourselves to the next level.” - Patrick Bet-David on entrepreneurship “You're going to use experiences to become either bitter or better.” - Patrick Bet-David on entrepreneurship “If you always make the right decision, the safe decision, the one most people make, you will be the same as everyone else.” - Patrick Bet-David “The bigger the vision you have, the more important it is to think on what type of a team you're going to put around you." - Patrick Bet-David on entrepreneurship “If you can walk, talk, hear or see, you have everything it takes to do something big with your life.” - Patrick Bet-David “Plant medicines like ayahuasca ask us to connect to all parts of ourselves.” - Dorian Yates on ayahuasca & plant medicine “The first time, mother ayahuasca couldn't work with me. She told me I was too toxic & to stop poisoning myself & come back later.” - Dorian Yates on ayahuasca & plant medicine “The plant knows who she wants to heal each time.” - Dorian Yates on ayahuasca & plant medicine “The people who do ayahuasca are bonded together forever, like a brotherhood.” - Dorian Yates on ayahuasca ceremonies “With good practice, plant medicines can play a key role in the healing of collective suffering on the planet.” - Aubrey Marcus on ayahuasca & plant medicine “You're not rewarded for the comfortable choice.” - Aubrey Marcus on ayahuasca & plant medicine “Know the plants, know yourself, be honest, & decide the terms of your relationship with them.” - Aubrey Marcus on ayahuasca & plant medicine _____________________ As always, this episode is brought to you by Soltara Healing Center. Se han producido 4 cambios de integrantes desde su creación y la formación actual de la banda consta de Robb Flynn (voz, guitarra), Phil Demmel (guitarra) y Dave McClain (batería). Machine Head es una de las bandas pioneras en la New Wave Of American Heavy Metal.

I am a singer, producer, songwriter, musician and vocal coach. My journey began at the age of 8 with the guitar, then continued with the piano and at the age of 14 I began my singing studies. So I have dedicated my entire life to music. Over the years I have gained many experiences of all kinds, from musicals and tours in theaters (company Fabula Musicae), to numerous live situations in Italy and abroad. Among the most significant shows of my career, I must undoubtedly mention the performance with Jennifer Batten (former Michael Jackson guitarist), the South American tour with Blaze Bayley (former Iron Maiden singer), show in Riga (Latvia) with Sabaton, show in St. Petersburg with Lacuna Coil, a tour piece with Arch Enemy in Russia, a tour piece with At the Gates in Russia, participation in the MetalDays 2019 Festival on the main stage. In the studio I worked on independent productions and collaborated several times with the dysFUNCTION team (producers and collaborators of Fear Factory, Logan Mader, Dan Korneff, Tue Madsen, Bjorn Strid, John Wetton etc). Like JaKe X, in September 2019 I released the first single A SHIP SAILING NOWHERE. Subsequently, in December 2019 the second single MADE OF DREAMS was released, for which I managed entirely music, lyrics, composition, arrangements and production. In April 2020 the third single CIVILIZATION is released, featuring and co-produced with the American artist PoetED. In September the fourth single Till You Find Your Heart is released, accompanied by the first video clip. www.Jakexmusic.com

This week, Steve and Remfry pay tribute to Scott Walker who passed away on Monday. An innovative and uncompromising artist whose career encompassed everything from 1960s pop to a collaboration with hooded Seattle doom-merchants Sunn O))), Walker was a huge influence on a diverse range of artists including Radiohead, Pulp, Cult of Luna, David Bowie, Brian Eno, Goldfrapp, Opeth and Leonard Cohen. In much better news, the boys discuss the incredibly exciting announcement that Machine Head will be back with original members Logan Mader and Chris Kontos to play their colossal 1994 debut album Burn My Eyes in full. The title is a dig, you say? Not at all! It's not because this week our topic discussion revolves around how metalheads gravitate to specific genres outside of metal and how that's influenced by metal journalism. Totally. Here, let's talk about some new music, releases or news instead. We shitpost about stuff that came out recently, like stuff by Meshuggah, Allegaeon, Opeth (salt interview part 1, part 2, part 3), Disillusion, Metallica, Testament, Logan Mader's Once Human, Dark Tranquillity, Protest the Hero, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more. Maybe. Then we talk about this "interesting" article about Reign in Blood turning 30, and highlight a few bands. Namely Starkill, Mammoth, Elarcos and Raptorbaby. And the week's underrated release is Ønskediktet by Ørkenkjøtt! Enjoy! By the way, this is that article about Kendrick Lamar - "Why Did Everyone Claim to Enjoy Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly'?"
