In This Episode: A lot of people work hard for their money but aren't taking the next step and educating themselves to make sure that their money works hard for them. Instead, they make choices of taking that money, handing it to a financial advisor that probably doesn't understand money either, and in doing so they hand control of their finances over to a complete stranger. Society has taught us that this is perfectly normal and that the financial advisor knows the most about money. But is that really true? As Tony Robbins says, if you want something, find somebody that has what you want and do what they did. So is your CPA wealthy? Is your financial advisor financially free? People are being taken advantage of, and it all starts with a lack of understanding of money. It is a problem when you trust other people with your money more than you trust yourself. But confidence is a skill set, and when you have confidence in your ability to manage your money, you can start making better choices. The key is to educate yourself; take action and start to learn something. You don't need to understand everything about money, but enough to make sure your money is moving to you and through you, so you can take advantage of all your hard work and make your money work hard for you.
