Many of the most impactful products in the sextech space have grown up in direct response to an unmet need. As we learn on this episode of Busine$$ of the V, Melanie Cristol brainstormed her unique patented underwear technology because she wanted to enable more people to say “yes” to oral sex. You'll learn how and why the CEO & Founder of Lorals stepped out of a successful partner-track legal career in order to launch an international venture that promotes not only more oral sex but more orgasms, sensual fun and exploration of all kinds.   This episode also features big news: While Lorals has been growing exponentially based on the comfort and utility of its underwear alone, a whole new horizon will be opening up as the result of impending FDA approval. In addition to encouraging great sex, Lorals will also at last be able to promote safer sex. Rigorous design and testing make this product (which is available in a range of styles and sizes) a highly effective barrier to STIs and invitation to increased intimacy. You'll be fascinated to hear about Melanie's journey, her experiences securing federal approval and lessons learned about the world of venture capital.   So say hello to a smart, sexy, innovative product in a fast-growing niche market – and say goodbye to the old dental dam solution. Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) chat with Melanie Cristol (@melaniecristol), the founder of Lorals (@mylorals), a queer women owned company that creates single use latex panties designed to maximize pleasure for the wearer during sexual intimacy. In this episode, we dive into the taboo of trying to market anything related to sex or sexuality and how often queer creators and companies face censorship. Melanie talks about the difficulties she faced when getting funding for Lorals due to the product being marketed for pleasure of people with vulvas and for use during oral sex. There is a huge stigma around talking about pleasure and sex, especially female pleasure. It is much easier to get funding for a condom company or advertise erectile dysfunction medication, because our society views those as appropriate sexual activities, but thinks oral sex is taboo. We discuss how just using the word lesbian or LGBTQ in a post will often cause it to be censored on social media and the impact this has on queer businesses. We also talk about the wild workarounds we have used to try to get by the censors. Follow along on Twitter: Lez Hang Out (@lezhangoutpod) and answer our Q & Gay at the end of every episode. ;O) HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2020!!! Learning to tantalize body parts that enhance your sexual desires becomes icing on the cake during your sexual rendezvous. For women, her breasts, nipples, neck, ears, between her thighs, and, of course, her vagina (all of it: lips, clitoris, and perineum) are the easiest and most sensitive to stimulate. Adding your index finger to fuck her gently while you’re sucking, licking and kissing her pussy will escalate her sexual fire. If she climaxes in your mouth that’s when the fun begins. All of her erogenous zones (the sensitive spots on the body that stimulate arousal) become VERY sensitive to the touch, and her pussy walls are contracting, waiting for some slick penetration. Slide that dick inside her pussy and pass out with her. BAM!!!!For a man, his neck, ears, nipples, right below his navel, and, of course, the head of his penis are the most sensitive spots. Ladies, stay focused and be merciless. Love on his cock like it’s the end of the world and you want two big sexual explosions during your blow-job performance.Remember Ladies, our goal is to get him to tap out during your blow job. If he comes in your mouth, even better; it’s because his erogenous zones have become too sensitive. The cock is hard and you have the added lubrication. BAM!!!Think about Oral Sex as the home run, the standing ovation, the climatic explosion that you want to achieve for one another. No one should ever feel slighted during sex when achieving an orgasm is totally attainable for everyone.Learn it, Live it and Give it….Oral Sex can keep the world happy!Support the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)

If you’re a woman in a heterosexual relationship, there’s a good chance you’re getting a lot less oral sex than your male partner. This Oral Sex Gap stems from many reasons. For one, women are pretty much “expected” to give blow jobs to their male partners, while a lot of hetero men easily justify why they don’t return the favor. Is it laziness? Is it patriarchal entitlement? Is it a part of a nefarious brainwashing effort that’s convinced women that there’s something too challenging, unattractive or disgusting about their bodies? Perhaps… But, it’s not just the men who are saying no to oral sex with their female partners. A lot of women refuse to accept oral sex. Many women feel too vulnerable or have hypersensitive clitorises which makes cunnilingus difficult to enjoy. Or they bought that load of bullshit that a lot of dudes have been serving up for years. Whatever the reason, CEO and founder of Lorals, Melanie Cristol saw an opportunity to offer a sexy product that allows women to accept pleasure without feeling awkward or vulnerable. The product, Lorals, are very thin, flavored latex underwear that are like a wearable dental dam…only a lot less awkward. In this episode, I talk to Melanie about the oral sex gap and how we can ensure that women are receiving as much pleasure as possible. Later in the episode, I enlist the services of a married couple who try Lorals and give me their thorough and unbiased review. Even they were a little surprised by the product. AND, as a special Holiday Giveaway, the folks at Lorals have donated a four-pack that will go to one lucky listener. All you have to do to be eligible to receive the free Lorals is go to our iTunes page, subscribe, write a 5-star review and email the text of your review and the name you used to info@sexedthemusical.com One randomly selected new reviewer will receive a free four-pack of Lorals in the mail. Oralicious - A Tale of Sex

Melanie Criston is the brains behind the creation of the phenomenal Latex Oral Sex Panties. That's right, you guessed it...Panties that will literally take away your lame excuse for not wanting to perform oral sex on your partner. The conversation was refreshing, enlightening with many Aah Moments for Tatiana. Kissing is a must in the eyes of Tatiana, but she does understand that many don't enjoy kissing at the start of sex. Melanie and Tati do agree that something must be done, to ignite your Sexual Dsires or Pleasure Journey. Tati thinks that a quick kiss, or peck and then you move straight to fucking is an outright offense to some women. Her juices MUST be flowing, dripping with sexual desires so the penis will have wetness before it enters her (aka Foreplay). With ALL the nevre endings that consumes our bodies, are there for a reason. To be stimulated, caressed, turned on to get your energy flowing to help you accomplished that EXPLOSIVE ORGASM. Sex should be SHAMELESS, welcoming and enjoyed that can result in having an ORGASMS. WHY? It does the body good!!! Also, our bodies were designed to have ORGASMS. Melanie has taken out the fear, the excuse and/or the conditioned mindset that Oral Sex is just not for you! NO MORE EXCUSES....the ORAL SEX PANTIES ARE HERE TO STAY!!!Support the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)

In last week's episode, episode 30, we started going through all the topics that have been discussed thus far on the podcast. I thought it would be so fun to recap the information that's been shared, topics that have been discussed, and conversations so that you can remind your brain of the things we've discussed. And by doing so, it can ignite and inspire you to go back and listen, take some deeper notes, and actually apply, implement, and integrate what I talked about in that episode so that you can see real change. Episode 16: Decluttering for pleasure. Just like decluttering is important for our external environments, we can also do this work for decluttering for pleasure as well. Bring your awareness to the things that are getting in the way of pleasure. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/5/2/ep-16-decluttering-for-pleasure Episode 17: Priming the body for pleasure. This comes back to not getting fixated on the outcome, but really enjoying the journey. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/5/9/ep-17-priming-the-body-for-pleasure Episode 18: Our need to control a situation often keeps us from reaching our pleasure potential. What will it mean if you lose control? When you courageously answer these questions, you'll realize that it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/5/16/ep-18-letting-go-of-control Episode 19: Having a sexy and loving mind is the key to creating change in your sex life. Your thinking creates your results. How we think directly affects how we feel. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/5/23/ep-19-a-sexy-and-loving-mind Episode 20: In this conversation with my dear friend and former client Mahsa Darabi, we discuss how Motherhood does not have to mean the end of your sex life. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/5/29/ep-20-interview-with-mahsa Episode 21: One way to create more sexual desire is to never say no. It is about giving your brain and your body a chance to actually explore the proposition of sex without defaulting to the automatic response you typically have. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/6/13/ep-21-increasing-desire-never-saying-no Episode 22: Sex is about your pleasure. Sex has become a “should” for your husband, your marriage, for your reputation, or what you think you're supposed to do as a woman, which makes it become about something outside of you. But we are changing the narrative around it for ourselves and for generations to come. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/6/20/sex-as-your-pleasure Episode 23: It is your responsibility to go after your pleasure. Take back what is rightfully yours. Your pleasure isn't your partner's responsibility. You get to decide how you want your sex life to look, and you get to do something about it. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/6/27/ep-23-taking-responsibility-for-your-sexual-pleasure Episode 24: This was the first of a three-part series, focusing on elevating your sex life. Becoming the observer and aware of the thoughts happening in your brain gives you the ability to actually do something about them. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/7/11/ep-24-elevating-your-sex-life-pt-1-becoming-the-observer Episode 25: Once you bring awareness to the type of thoughts you have, you can really start to notice where your attention is captured. This allows you to be able to bring your thoughts back, on purpose, to what it is you want to focus on. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/7/18/ep-25-elevating-your-sex-life-pt-2-capturing-your-attention Episode 26: Become embodied, meaning, to reside in your body with awareness. Wake up to what you are feeling and the sensations that are present. By doing this, you create the skill so that will open you up to pleasure. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/7/25/elevating-your-sex-life-pt-3-becoming-embodied Episode 27: An amazing conversation with Melanie Cristol, founder of Lorals, a thin panty that can be used during oral sex. When we decide that pleasure is attainable and necessary for us all, amazing inventions such as this can happen. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/8/1/ep-27-a-new-take-on-oral-with-ceo-melanie-cristol Episode 28: We have to believe that pleasure is possible. It seems simple, but it's not a thought most of us are actively thinking. What if pleasure was possible for you? http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/8/15/ep-28-believing-that-pleasure-is-possible Episode 29: The importance of the pelvic floor as it relates to pleasure, a topic discussed with orthopedic physical therapist, Buffy Stinchfield. Many women tighten up in this area so much, and as a result, they may not experience the pleasure that is available to them. http://daniellesavory.com/podcast/2019/8/22/ep-29-why-you-should-forgive-your-mom I am so ecstatic and proud of all of the topics we've discussed so far, and I am thrilled to bring you even more. In male-female sexual encounters, blowjobs are typically expected while cunnilingus is one of the least performed sex acts. This disparity has been called The Oral Sex Gap and you might be surprised to learn that it’s not just guys who are saying no to cunnilingus. Many women are concerned that their ladyparts are unattractive or some feel too vulnerable to enjoy receiving oral sex. Plus, thanks to decades of advertising created specifically to make women feel inadequate and unhygenic, many of us, especially those walking along the beach, arm in arm with our moms, just don’t feel “summer fresh” down there. Whatever the reason, far too many women are saying no to oral sex when they really want to say yes, yes, YESSSSS! On this episode I speak with Melanie Cristol, the founder and CEO of Lorals, single use latex lingerie designed for carefree oral sex. Melanie founded the company after she decided that using a dental dam is the least sexy part of having sex and there had to be a better solution out there. Later in the episode, I enlist the services of a married couple who try Lorals and give me their thorough and unbiased review. Even they were a little surprised by the product. If you’d like to purchase Lorals, go to https://mylorals.com/ and use the special code YAYWENDY for 15% off your first order. If you’re going to let something get in between you and oral sex, let it be Lorals. [Images: courtesy of Lorals]

Love is in the air! Well, at least it has been this week…So, who says that Gurvey's Law is a stuffy legal program? Yes, we talked to two constitutional law experts last week about this year's Supreme Court cases, but with #ValentinesDay being this week, we are changing things up, and talking about masturbation and oral sex! You may have heard of Peter Ellenstein who was a sperm donor for seven years to supplement his acting income, and recently found out that he has over 25 kids! Peter will join us in studio to talk about the tough legal questions that come with donating sperm to sperm banks, and how he has embraced being a father to these kids! Also, in studio will be Columbia University law school grad, Melanie Cristol, who will talk about her transition from lawyer to entrepreneur, and how her Lorals product makes oral sex so much more pleasurable for so many. And, if that isn't enough, Alan's mom, Evelyn, joins the talk about love and sex! Don't miss this sexy edition of Gurvey's Law. Join us on Sundays, t 5 p.m. PST on KABC-AM 790 TalkRadio and kabc.com! #Fatherhood #Dating #SafeSex

Two brave women build businesses that might make you blush. What is it like to launch a product that you can't talk about in “polite company”? Meet Julia Rose, founder of VaGenie, and Melanie Cristol, founder of Lorals. They've developed products for women's health and pleasure, one a high tech “wearable” game and the other a special kind of apparel. We talk about what it's like to raise money, find manufacturing partners, and market a “taboo” product. Further, Melanie has Tourette Syndrome; we explore how it's had a positive impact on her path to founding and running her business. Julia and Melanie didn't know each other before today's conversation, so it's fun to share notes on their common experiences. Neither one of them have an engineering or product background. We learn how an actor and a lawyer became manufacturers: the inspiration, the steps they followed, and the surprises they met along the way. It's not always easy, but they are making it happen. Learn more:  vagenie.co, @myvagenie mylorals.com, @mylorals, @melcristol For more information, photos, and links, check out the show notes at makeitinla.org/taboo.  Melanie Cristol, founder & CEO of Lorals, is a former consumer-products and healthcare attorney and a Columbia Law School graduate. She is a passionate advocate for sexual health, having worked with Lambda Legal, the Columbia Sexual Violence Response Team, and the National LGBT Task Force. Melanie's expertise in this sector has earned her international attention and accolades, and she has been featured in various media outlets speaking about tech, manufacturing, and sexual health. With a strong international perspective, a background in marketing and entertainment, and passion for women's health issues, Julia Rose and her team at Kalikha Inc. are creating the VaGenie, a smart biofeedback pelvic floor muscle trainer and menstrual cycle tracking solution destined to break taboos around a vital health concern that effects 2 in 3 women worldwide: weakened pelvic floors. A combination device and app, the VaGenie helps women strengthen their pelvic floors by allowing them to play video games controlled by pelvic muscle exercises (Kegels). In addition, armed with a mission to normalize conversations around women's health, Julia uses tools such as her "VaGenie Martini Party" events as well as VaGenie's "Free the V" community to bring awareness to a variety of critical women's issues. Julia is the mother of 2 young boys and lives in Los Angeles, CA. She received her degree in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania.
