Sex scenes are a feature of modern filmmaking, yet require meticulous planning and sensitive handling in a post-#MeToo world. Enter intimacy coordinator Lucy Fennell - whose credits include True Detective, All Of Us Strangers, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Navigating Hollywood power dynamics, she assists storytellers, whilst also protecting performers in their vulnerable moments. In this eye-opening conversation with Olly, she reveals the techniques that prevent unwanted physical contact during simulated sex, explains how male and female directors sometimes react differently to her presence on-set, and considers what happens if and when an actor gets an erection… _______ Meanwhile, in The Zeitgeist, Ollie Peart investigates BookTok, the TikTok subculture where users share book recommendations and reviews. How significant has its impact been on the publishing industry? How has BookTok revived interest in older books? And can it be manipulated? With the help of Literary Death Match's Suzanne Azzopardi and creative consultant Miriam Robertson, Ollie reveals all… and puts their advice to the test. Armed with a Ladybird classic, can Ollie establish a BookTok presence, self-publish his own opus (generated by AI, of course), and become the next Colleen Hoover? _______ Elsewhere, down the Foxhole, Alix Fox fails to find out why comedian Sofie Hagen hasn't had sex for eight years, but comprehensively answers a complex listener question: How does one train to become a sex therapist? With the help of Jo Coker, Director of Therapy and Training Standards at COSRT, sex educator Gigi Engle, sex and relationship coach Lucy Rowett, and therapist Chantal Gautier, Alix unpicks the demanding training process psychosexual therapists undergo; discovers the broad range of issues their clients can present with; and explains why therapists must manage their own biases and emotional reactions to provide effective support. _______ Finally, our Record of the Month showcases the soulful vibes of Jaz Karis, with her sultry Summer single ‘Tequila', feat. Reekado Banks. _______ SUPPORT THE SHOW: We're an independent podcast. We're professionals. We only exist thanks to your financial contributions. THANK YOU.
This episode is intended to continue the conversation we had on #359 with Gigi Engle. You asked us to host a neuroscientist to discuss what's happening in the brain during compulsive use of sex and porn, and repeat guest Dr. Nan Wise is the perfect fit for this discussion. Dr. Nan shares her definition of sex and porn addiction and whether or not it's real (spoiler alert - she says it's VERY real for some people). She explains what's happening in the brain when someone starts to consume sex and porn compulsively, as well as when it turns into an addiction. She takes this even further by explaining how to know if your own behavior has become compulsive and some of the best modalities for healing or reclaiming your sexuality, as well as what to do if you suspect your partner's behaviors are problematic. About our guest: Nan Wise, Ph.D., is a cognitive neuroscientist, professor, licensed psychotherapist, certified sex therapist, board-certified clinical hypnotherapist, and certified relationship specialist. After almost twenty years in clinical practice, she became driven to understand how the brain creates moods and behaviors in relation to sex and other aspects of human experience. Having returned to academia to pursue a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience, she is now a cognitive neuroscience researcher at Rutgers University-Newark. She is the author of the book Why Good Sex Matters and has contributed her expert opinion to outlets such as National Geographic, The Atlantic, Time, Glamour, Women's Health Magazine, The Washington Post, HuffPost, Romper, and Bustle. How might someone know they have an issue with viewing porn? What if I feel like porn is affecting my sexual and personal life and I want to work on it? Also, does the type of porn I watch matter? As a woman, it's pretty important to me that there's a huge orgasm gap between men and women. Why is that, and how can women get theirs? I sat down with Gigi Engle, an award-winning author and certified sex educator, to unpack this. Gigi isn't a stranger to ruffling some feathers — her blunt and honest articles on sexuality have gone viral and started valuable online conversations, even getting groups to chime in who normally wouldn't. Our conversation definitely took on that unapologetic tone as we covered how we can empower women to take charge of their own pleasure, and close that gap. Have a listen, leave a review and share this episode with a friend!Learn more about Gigi on her website and keep up with her on Instagram. During the second year of the month a huge focus can be placed on romance, love, and of course sex. Emphasis on sexual activity and creating a scene for intimacy and steamy activity that may include ambiance, decadent desserts, and forbidden props. These props are included in an act called BDSM. What is BDSM? When was BDSM created and its history? How does psychology play a role in sex? How does BDSM impact mental health? Why do trauma survivors feel the desire for kink or BDSM? Statistics Journal Reflection 1.Do I carry any guilt, shame, or anxiety around intimacy? 2.What are my thoughts/assumptions of BDSM or Kink prior to this podcast? 3. ;O) HAPPY NEW YEAR: 2020!!! Learning to tantalize body parts that enhance your sexual desires becomes icing on the cake during your sexual rendezvous. For women, her breasts, nipples, neck, ears, between her thighs, and, of course, her vagina (all of it: lips, clitoris, and perineum) are the easiest and most sensitive to stimulate. Adding your index finger to fuck her gently while you’re sucking, licking and kissing her pussy will escalate her sexual fire. If she climaxes in your mouth that’s when the fun begins. All of her erogenous zones (the sensitive spots on the body that stimulate arousal) become VERY sensitive to the touch, and her pussy walls are contracting, waiting for some slick penetration. Slide that dick inside her pussy and pass out with her. BAM!!!!For a man, his neck, ears, nipples, right below his navel, and, of course, the head of his penis are the most sensitive spots. Ladies, stay focused and be merciless. Love on his cock like it’s the end of the world and you want two big sexual explosions during your blow-job performance.Remember Ladies, our goal is to get him to tap out during your blow job. If he comes in your mouth, even better; it’s because his erogenous zones have become too sensitive. The cock is hard and you have the added lubrication. BAM!!!Think about Oral Sex as the home run, the standing ovation, the climatic explosion that you want to achieve for one another. No one should ever feel slighted during sex when achieving an orgasm is totally attainable for everyone.Learn it, Live it and Give it….Oral Sex can keep the world happy!Support the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)

When I first decided to do this episode, I was really scared because I've never publicly talked about this topic before. Over the past year, I've been having private conversations about sex and pleasure, but I think it's finally time to take it public. Gigi Engle is a feminist author, certified sex coach, sexologist, and sex educator. As a sex expert for Womanizer and a Brand Ambassador for LifeStyles condoms, she promotes and teaches about pleasure-based sex education, masturbation, and safer sex practices. She also serves as a Pleasure Professional with The O-School where she teaches a number of classes centered around pleasure, sexual health, and confidence. Gigi's work regularly appears in many publications such as BRIDES, Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, Teen Vogue, Glamour, and Women's Health and her articles have been shared over 50 million times. She also writes an advice column, Ask Gigi, and is an original member of The Women of Sex Tech. Her first book, All The F*cking Mistakes: A Guide to Sex, Love, and Life, is available for pre-order at the time of this episode being released. In this episode, Gigi shares how she found her way into the field of sex education, how masturbation can help you get into your body in a positive way and learn what you find pleasurable, the shocking state of sex education in our schools today, how to communicate with your partner about your sexuality, whether or not it's okay to masturbate when you're in a relationship, and more! "It's not about achieving an Orgasm, but experiencing an orgasm, and surrounding yourself in the moment of the experience. Celebrate your Sexual Self, embrace your whole Divine, and Sacred Self. " - Lucy Rowett I had the pleasure of interviewing Lucy Rowett, of Brighton, UK. - She is a..."Clinical Sexologist and sex, intimacy, and relationship coach. She was trained in clinical sexology and co-active coaching, by the original pioneer of sex coaching, Dr. Patti Britton. Lucy is not a sex therapist or a psychotherapist, she is a sex coach; with a Tea Fetish. During our conversation, Lucy wants..."to help you stop feeling ashamed and embarrassed about your body, to embrace pleasure, and have the passionate, intimate, and body-rocking sex you've always dreamed of. "Release shame. Embrace pleasure. Create intimacy. Start your journey to sexual empowerment, falling in love with your body, and erotic freedom." - Lucy RowettIf pleasure is a misnomer, fiction, or of no value, then you could also view life without having any substantial need for air. Like air, pleasure is essential to our way of life as it gives meaning to our desires. Pleasure feeds our most intimate motivations, bringing out its core to drive our urges to fruition. Pleasure is an acronym for Please Let Energy Accentuate Sexual Urges Reeling with Eroticism.Sexual loving is a healer for self and others, because when it stimulates your erogenous zones (sensitive body parts), which are ignited by our pheromones, endorphins are released within the body that give you added pleasure and make the body healthy by reducing pain and feelings of depression or sadness. When we allow ourselves to live in the moment during oral sex, our sexual desires and pleasures are limitless. Energy is the fire that fuels your hidden sexual desires when you open your mind, which allows your very being to soar out from inside the body. That is why oral sex is so awesome, because it gives you permission to feel raw pleasure that will stimulate your very being with erotic joy. P2er’s who love oral sex understand how important it is to sexual gratification. A plain fuck without any foreplay, kissing, or sexual enlightenment is definitely boring.Lucy and I agree...NO MORE Bucket Load of Sexual Shame. Let's work together, release, forgive and honor yourself about your sexuality. https://lucyrowett.com“Love the moment and the energy of the moment will spread beyond all boundaries.” - Corita KentSupport the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)
Gigi Engle is a Badass, Sex-Educator who fought at an early age for Shame-Free Sex-Positive Education. Gigi and I believes, that Shame Free Sex...Is long overdue. "She is a feminist writer, clinical sexologist, certified sex coach, and sex educator; who teaches a variety of classes centered around pleasure, sexual health, and confidence. Gigi's work regularly appears in many publications including Brides, Marie Claire, Elle Magazine, Teen Vogue, Glamour and Women's Health. Her articles have been shared over 50 million times, with her top posts reaching over 150 million shares. She also writes a weekly advice column : Ask Gigi and is an original member of The Women of Sex Tech." (Me too!)Gigi was my AMAZING, and AWESOME guest that spoke candidly about living in a culture where Sex is still considered Shameful; and of course we both agree that this is pure bullshit! Sex should be Shameless, Shame-Free, Carefree and not conditioned based on societal closed mindedness. Daah!!! Think about it...in the 21st Century Oral Sex is still Taboo!!! It's still underrated, and have a negative connotation that it's a shameful thing to do. In what fucking world...!!??? Men LOVE having their beautiful cock, dick, or pee-pee sucked. Just ask them...And there are many women, like my self and Gigi who truly enjoys giving this great pleasure so freely; and of course getting it back in return uninhibitedly.http://missgigiengle.comSupport the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)
Never forget that women crave sexual release just the way men do, and we like to get ours in much the same way: from a soft, wet mouth. What an OFS!"Accept that women are sexual beings … Accept that some men like pleasuring women. Accept that women don't have to just be fucked and say thank you. We are allowed and entitled to enjoy ourselves. It's time we put our foot down …" – Evan Rachel WoodKudos to Evan Rachel Wood who has criticized the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) for swinging cuts to Sundance hit Charlie Countryman, a move she has described as symptomatic of a society that is frightened of female sexuality. And Director Marc Forster, for taking a hard stance on the controversial, yet still taboo topic “oral sex” in the 21st century. He directed Monster’s Ball starring Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry. He stated that in the DVD commentary that he "included it because you see the opposite, but never a man going down on a woman."Monster's Ball (11/11) Movie CLIP - Can I Touch You? (2001) HD[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3zcF3YvK-o&w=560&h=315] Why is oral sex hard for Hollywood? The same reason it’s hard for the FDA (aka Fucking Deadass Assholes) ;o) who rejected the female Viagra…women sexual libidos are a myth. What is missing here is that oral sex is now a part of mainstream society, and men really love pleasing a woman in that manner. Wake up Hollywood, FDA, and some closed-minded A-holes: go sniff and eat some delectable putang (aka Pussy or Pink Ice), it will do the body good. This is pure Misogynistic, Patriarchal bullshit who, I guarantee you have experienced having their dicks suck!!! So let's stop the CraCra, when our bodies are design to have Orgasm, and so what if we enjoy getting there by oral sex. Oh, no. I am saying it in a sneakingly manner and mean...Happy Vagina Day. It's my day of worshiping, revering, and putting the precious, lotus flower on a Pedestal. The Vagina is also world renowned, in that it has truly affected and does have one thing in common Globally. It gave birth (where appropriate) to human kind. Daah!!! ;o) Of course, we don't want to just honor the VaJaJa...only on Valentine's Day; but every day. You owe it to her...Support the show (https://oralicious.com/podcast/)
