"There is a fascination about the game of polo that is hard to describe to anyone who has never played. Once a man has had a taste of it, the task of curing him is rather hopeless." - Tommy Hitchcock Jr.We sat down with Mike Carney, Josh Shelton, and Mannie Shelton to hear all about the game of polo. Since 1931, one of the longest running USPA clubs int he US, Wichita has been a mecca for polo and a center of the Midwest circa. They say it is like playing golf during an earthquake and those involved with the sport are obsessed with the beauty of the sport. They play from July to October and have tournaments during several weekends and an open game to the public every Sunday during that period. And they also have Polo on the Plains in September and Real Men Wear Pink in October which are two charity events giving back to the community. We really enjoyed hearing the history of the Fairfield Polo Club, where the sport of polo is heading today and how women are affecting it, and all about the horse athletes. In this episode we chat with Mike Carney, who, along with his partner, Erin Andrzejewski, owns Pittsburgh Sandwich Society. Learn how he got his start in kitchens and why they started the business with a food truck instead of a restaurant. Who's a member of this sandwich society? We all are -- customers, social media followers, and the people who offer critiques and motivation to keep them going. As such, Carney explains how he is wrestling with the reality that “the core of [their] industry is bringing people together and their purpose is to have a line at the truck,” so he questions if it is “right or socially responsible to serve people at this time,” while noting their social distance sandwich slide invention and modified order and payment systems. Listen to learn his cooking motto and some tips for your own kitchen adventures. At our request, he designs the most Pittsburgh of Pittsburgh sandwiches (spoiler alert, Rick Sebak is an integral part of the process). For folks who recall our Sunny Side Up Brunch series, we learn who and what was the inspiration for the unique sandwiches on the menu each month, and Carney reveals the one brunch sandwich he promises to make in the future when it is safe to gather again. It may seem like things are getting out of control and hopeless, FEAR NOT!!! Look to God & find strength & courage in who His word says He is! Let us stir up the gift he has placed in us, let us step out in faith to live our lives for His glory! Because God has not given us a spirit of fear! Isaiah 40:21-31, II Timothy 1:6-7.
Unity among God's people has always been crucial; to live a life that honors God and to spread the gospel message. So much so Jesus' request to the Father for the disciples and to all those who would believe was that they would be ONE with Him and be kept from evil one, so that the world may know God has loved them as He has loved Jesus! John 17:11-23
Jesus stepped into our world to accomplish one goal that is to be a sacrificial lamb for humanity. "...He is not here, but is risen!" is the most hopeful words uttered. With that, God fulfilled His promise giving the hope of eternal life to the lost world. It's still true to this day to whosoever places their trust in Jesus Christ, because He is faithful!!!
Jesus knowing His hour had come, He takes on the ultimate position of a servant, stoops down to wash the disciples' feet, to show them what service looks like and how it ought to be done! John 13:1-17
After praising Jesus and singing 'hosannah, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord', in 5 days, the same crowd would shout 'Crucify Him'. But in the midst, Jesus points out a widow who gave all she had.

According to Amy and Jennifer Slimpressions is a "flab-u-less" line of everyday shapewear designed to slim a woman's arms, back and midriff. Slimpressions' garments create an illusion of weight reduction boosting confidence while sculpting the top half of a woman's body. These two moms said they came up with the idea because they needed a solution to tackle their own flaby, flappy arms. For more information or to see some amazing before and after images please go to there website www.slimpressions.comNext up we had on Gary Valvo and Mike Carney, owners of Mr. Handyman's 300th franchise in Peachtree City. Gary and Mike invested in the full-service home repair and maintenance franchise after realizing the demand for reliable and affordable maintenance services in the Atlanta area. They felt that as more homeowners decide to stay put during this sluggish real estate market that the demand for quiality home improvement services is greater than ever before. Gary explained that in today's economy more and more homeowners are investing in monor repairs rather than do large scale remodelling projects or buy a new home. And with people busier than ever they just don't have the time to do things themselves any more. So Mr Handyman helps its clients shrink their nagging to-do lists. To learn more about Mr Handyman please go to their website www.mrhandyman.com and find the franchise nearest you.
