Liane je stara devetnajst let in ima za sabo težko otroštvo, ki ga je vsaj delno preživela v reji. To jo je močno zaznamovalo. Občutek, da je mama, ki zelo očitno ni kos svojim materinskim obveznostim in si raje kot redno službo išče tako imenovane priložnostne sponzorje, noče, je tako globoko ukoreninjen v Lianini podzavesti, da potrditev išče drugje, predvsem na svetovnem spletu. Ko nekega dne dobi povabilo na avdicijo za resničnostni šov, se zanjo vse spremeni. »Vodja kastinga je rekla, da me hoče. Hoče me,« zabrusi Liane svetovalki za poklicno integracijo, ki si drzne podvomiti, da je resničnostni šov lahko prava karierna priložnost. Tudi dvomi prijateljic in edinega fanta, do katerega ni ravnodušna, ne omajejo njenega prepričanja, da so bile besede vodje kastinga pristne in da jo prvič v življenju nekdo hoče. Njo, prav njo. Če bi le opustila uničevanje svojega lepega telesa. Če bi le pozabila na tono ličil. Če bi se le izpisala iz družbenih omrežij in vpisala v šolo ali si poiskala službo. Če bi … Pa ima Liane – realno gledano – sploh to možnost? Si lahko brez izobrazbe preprosto najde službo in izplava iz začaranega kroga? Zelo verjetno je, da bo šla po maminih stopinjah in se zadovoljila s tako imenovanimi občasnimi sponzorji. Njena potreba po občudovanju izvira iz otroške travme, ki se je sama le delno zaveda, zato vsak všeček, ki ga dobi za svoje žgečkljive fotografije, ne poboža le njenega ega, temveč v njem vidi predvsem priložnost za korak k samouresničitvi. Socialnih omrežij ne uporablja tako kot bogate vplivnice z zlato žlico v ustih – kot le še eno poslovno priložnost – temveč kot edino priložnost. Nebrušeni diamant je film, ki nas spodbudi, da na dekleta, kot je Liane, pogledamo iz drugega zornega kota. Prva romana pisatelja, teologa in filozofa Branka Cestnika Sonce Petovione in Šesti pečat je navdihnila preteklost Ptuja, zlasti starorimska Poetovia in njeni prebivalci v mestu in bližnji okolici, od koder izvira avtorjev rod. Tretji roman Pogovori z Njo sega v čas druge svetovne vojne, v njem prikazuje življenje slovenskih mobilizirancev v nemški vojski, eden med njimi je Jakob Špilek, ki se je boril na zahodni fronti avgusta 1944. Tudi v četrtem romanu Razmik med žerjavi pisatelj zajema iz istega časa, njegovi literarni junaki in nejunaki pa se bojujejo na vzhodni fronti. Skrivnostni naslov romana je povzet iz sovjetskega filma Let žerjavov in iz balade pesnika Gamzatova. Žerjavi so duše nekdanjih vojakov, ki so se skupaj bojevali in umirali. »Ko ustvarijo klin in složno letijo, dobro poglej, če je v formaciji vrzel. Če opaziš razmik med žerjavi, tolik, da bi tam lahko letela še ena ptica, vedi, to je prostor zate. Skoraj boš tam, med njimi, mrtev tovariš ob mrtvih tovariših. Duša v telesu bele ptice.« Roman sestavljajo štiri obsežna poglavja, razvrščena po bojnih premikih petnajste čete 304. pehotne divizije nemške vojske na vzhodni fronti v Ukrajini leta 1943 do začetka aprila 1944, predvsem po izgubljeni bitki za Stalingrad in predaji feldmaršala von Paulusa. Posamezne etape bojevanja nemških vojakov in Sovjetov se vrstijo po času in kraj posameznih spopadov, kratkotrajnih zmag in porazov do zadnjega umika. Vsi datumi o vojnih dogodkih so točno navedeni, poznavalsko so opisani tudi kraji in pokrajine. Po več kot osemdesetih letih je čas že zabrisal zgodovinski spomin na dogajanje med drugo svetovno vojno, generacije so se zamenjale, ostaja pa ustno izročilo, da je bil nekdo iz slovenske družine soldat v Hitlerjevi nacistični Nemčiji. Ostali so tudi dokumenti. Roman Razmik med žerjavi oživlja te čase in mlade ljudi, ki so bili nenehno izpostavljeni smrtni nevarnosti in pobijanju, ne da bi vedeli, za koga se borijo, saj niso verjeli nacističnim idejam. Borili so se, da bi preživeli. Na koncu knjige je Branko Cestnik dodal slovarček zastarelih in pozabljenih besed iz vojaškega življenja ter izrazov iz nemščine. Sledi še časovnica zgodovinskih dogodkov, na katere se veže pripoved. Začne se s 6. aprilom 1941 in konča s 3. aprilom 1944, ko je ameriško letalstvo prvič bombardiralo Budimpešto. Avtor navede tudi datum 6. junij 2023, ko je bil v rusko-ukrajinski vojni uničen največji jez Kahovka na Dnepru, poplava v Hersonu pa je razkrila okostja padlih nemških vojakov iz druge svetovne vojne Resnične osebe, ki nastopajo oziroma ki so omenjene v romanu, pojasnjuje posebna razlaga. Med njimi so sovjetski maršal Rodion Malinovski, eden najboljših nemških generalov Erich von Manstei in nemški generalpolkovnik Karl-Adolf Holidt, poveljnik na novo postavljene šeste armade po nemškem porazu v bitki pri Stalingradu, ki je deloval v Ukrajini v Donbasu in ob Dnepru. Pisatelj ne poudarja posameznih literarnih likov, saj je težišče dela bojevanje 15. čete nemške vojske, ki so jo decembra 1942 iz Francije prepeljali na vzhodno fronto, kjer je bilo minus 30 stopinj in so bili jarki pokriti z raztrganimi trupli branilcev. Tukaj je nastajala povezanost petih vojnih tovarišev: Ludvika Voduška, kmečkega sina iz okolice Ptuja, ki je bil vajen trdega dela, v domači godbi pa je igral violino, Avstrijca Hansa Auerja iz Wagne, Nemca, ki so ga klicali Deggi- Deggi, Frizijca z vzdevkom Tulipan in plemenitega Švaba Wolfganga. Ludvik nosi v sebi za vojaka nenavadno skrivnost, ki bi bila zanj lahko usodna. Že kot deček je namreč sklenil, da nikoli ne bo nikogar ubil. Angelu Neubijanja, kot je to stanje imenoval nekdanji ministrant Hans Auer, ki se je na angele spoznal od doma, je Ludvik ostal zvest tudi v vojnih razmerah. Ohranil je vse vrednote staršev in verske vzgoje, nikoli ni meril v človeka. Novo srečanje s sokrajanom Cvetom Ogorelcem iz skupine izvidnikov obeta prijateljstvo, vendar je to človek, ki je že zgodaj prestopil mejo med Dobrim in Zlom, s svojimi zločinskimi dejanji se celo hvali: »Lastnoročno sem ubil za pol potniškega vagona civilistov, Rusov in Ukrajincev, Ciganov in Židov. Žide še posebej rad…« Pretresljivo so opisani Ludvikovo osebno soočenje s sovražnikom – ruskim učiteljem iz Moskve, preselitev izoliranih »božjih pacifistov menonitov«, usoda šestletne deklice, ki jo je lastna družina v času prisilne lakote, »gladomora«, ubila in kruto pojedla, iztrebljanje neželenih skupin, kot je bila Mlada garda, uničevanje Judov, pomor nedolžnih talcev. Razmik med žerjavi ni le zgodovinski roman o vojnem dogajanju, ki se kar naprej ponavlja in mu ni videti konca. Odpira se prepad med Dobrim in Zlom, geslo zmagovalca je »Ni usmiljenja za šibke!« Morda se bo življenjska zgodba Floriana – Cveta Ogorelca, Ludvikovega vrstnika iz okolice Ptuja, razpletla v končnem delu vojne trilogije Branka Cestnika, pisatelja, ki, kot pravi, mora povedati zgodbo, ki je še niso povedali drugi.

The time has come. At long last, the Legends Lookback crew is beginning their year-long deep-dive into the New Jedi Order. In this introductory episode, they talk about what you need to know in order to begin the NJO, talk about the real-world backstory that went into this 19-book-series, plus a little speculation about the (possibly) forthcoming NJO movie.

Ha sido miembro de diferentes orquestas jóvenes como la NJO y la Academia Orquestal de la Orquesta Ciudad de Granada. The circle is complete!!!!! At least the New Jedi Order is complete. Luke and Randy close out the final chapter of the NJO this month. The Final Prophecy and The Unifying Force are the focus this episode, bringing the over 20 book series to an end. Jacen, Luke, and Zonama Sekot take on the last of the Yuuzhan Vong on Coruscant. In what seemed to be an endless battle only the "unifying force" could make the difference. They also announce the winner of this year's Legends Library Card.
