Když znovu usnul, měl další sen: Na jednom stéble vyrostlo sedm bohatých a pěkných klasů. Náhle za nimi vyrazilo sedm klasů hubených a sežehlých východním větrem a ty hubené klasy pohltily těch sedm bohatých a pěkných.
Efraim Palvanov joins Eli Nash on In Search of More to explore the intersection of spirituality, healing, and psychedelics within the Jewish community. They discuss the transformative potential of these substances while emphasizing the importance of traditional Torah-based practices and personal inner work. Drawing parallels to biblical rituals and sensory experiences, they examine the role of music, smell, and sacred narratives in fostering spiritual connection. The conversation highlights the dual nature of psychedelics—offering profound healing for some while posing risks of escapism and psychological dependence for others. They also acknowledge the legal risks and ethical considerations surrounding these substances, urging caution in their use. Efraim and Eli stress the necessity of personal effort in spiritual growth, warning against external dependencies for transformation. They critique modern reliance on pharmaceuticals and explore how mystical experiences can be integrated thoughtfully within a Jewish framework. Ultimately, the episode calls for a balanced, intentional approach to healing that respects both tradition and personal responsibility while navigating the complex legal landscape of psychedelics.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Connect with EfraimYouTube | https://bit.ly/3wcqRlEWebsite | https://bit.ly/3UzbXz6-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Connect with Eli Website | https://bit.ly/eliyahunashInstagram | https://bit.ly/eliyahu_nashFacebook | http://bit.ly/3h3rFSrYouTube | https://youtube.com/@insearchofmore-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Subscribe to the In Search of More Podcast: www.youtube.com/@InSearchOfMore?sub_confirmation=1For booking inquiries, email: booking@insearchofmorepodcast.comJoin Our WhatsApp: https://wa.me/message/PBH5QDJQNQ5LJ1-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Follow us on social mediaFacebook | http://bit.ly/3jr9eYTInstagram | http://bit.ly/3JsvU5ITikTok | http://bit.ly/3XZ60LoTwitter | http://bit.ly/3XNgxsR

Ya'akov Avinu spent the last seventeen years of his life in Egypt, a time of peace and fulfillment after decades of struggle. As his life neared its end, Ya'akov called for Yosef and asked him to swear that he would not bury him in Egypt but in Eretz Yisroel, with his ancestors. Yosef swore to honor his father's request. Ya'akov then blessed Yosef's sons, Efraim and Menashe, elevating them to the status of tribes within the Jewish people. This act ensured that Yosef's legacy would hold a unique and eternal place in Jewish history. We find how unique and special Efraim and Menasha were. We learn the ultimate blessing we can experience.

At the end of Yaakov's life, he blessed his 12 sons, Efraim, and Menashe. Efraim and Menashe were blessed that they would be the ones invoked when people bless their children. Why were they chosen, as opposed to blessing our sons they should be like Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov (akin to what we do by daughters)? Have a good Shabbos
More than a year into the Israel-Hamas war, the Middle East remains mired in conflict. The war in Gaza drags on with no end in sight; the West Bank continues to seethe; the collapse of the Assad regime has activated Israeli forces along the Syrian border; and while a cease-fire deal has calmed the Israel-Lebanon border, the possibility of a serious escalation between Israel and Iran remains all too real. Meanwhile, uncertainties about U.S. policy abound as the Biden Administration gives way to one headed by President Donald Trump. Will Israel be able to translate its recent military wins into stable security and political arrangements? What does the future hold for the hostages and the people of Gaza? Is there a diplomatic off-ramp that might preempt or prevent an Iran-Israel confrontation? And what of the future of Iran's nuclear program? Join Aaron David Miller as he sits down with Ami Ayalon, the former head of Shin Bet, and Efraim Halevy, the former head of Mossad, to discuss these and other issues on Carnegie Connects.

Vittoria di Jefte su Efraim. I giudici Ibtsan, Elon, Abdon.

Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. Military reporter Emanuel Fabian joins host Amanda Borschel-Dan on today's episode. Three Israeli men were shot dead by a terrorist at the Allenby Bridge crossing between Jordan and the West Bank. The assailant, reportedly a truck driver from Jordan, arrived at the terminal and opened fire at the crossing's employees. One of the three victims of the terror shooting attack at the Allenby Bridge Crossing this morning is named as Yohanan Shchori, 61, from the West Bank settlement of Ma'ale Efraim. The second victim of the shooting attack at the Allenby Bridge crossing is named as Yuri Birnbaum, 65, from the West Bank settlement of Na'ama. An American woman was shot and killed by IDF troops during a protest near Nablus in the northern West Bank on Friday. Separately, a 13-year-old Palestinian girl was reported shot dead when extremist settlers stormed a village near Nablus and clashed with villagers. We learn about both incidents. Two Palestinian Islamic Jihad battalion commanders were killed in a recent Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip. Also on Saturday, the IDF said it had carried out airstrikes on command rooms operating from two former schools in Gaza City. We learn first about the strikes in the school compounds and then hear about a strike in the humanitarian zone near a hospital that killed the two PIJ commanders. More than 50 rockets were launched from Lebanon at the Galilee Panhandle and Kiryat Shmona area overnight, some of which impacted Kiryat Shmona, causing damage. On Friday, during a tour of the Golan Heights, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said the IDF is “very focused” on fighting Hezbollah and preparing offensive actions in Lebanon against the Iran-backed terror group. What is offensive is Halevi referring to? Bullying isn't always a bad thing, Efraim Inbar says. In a tough neighborhood like the Middle East, sometimes it's necessary.President of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security and head of Shalem College's program on Strategy, Diplomacy, and National Security, he speaks as a veteran Israeli political scientist and national security. In his view, Israel must be tough to stay alive—and it hasn't been tough enough.Efraim authored five books on Israeli national security and politics, and edited 14 collections of scholarly articles, and as such, he is considered an expert on Israeli strategic doctrine, public opinion on national security issues, American policy in the Middle East, Israeli-Palestinian diplomacy, and Israel-Turkey relations. Now, he sits down with us to answer 18 questions on Israel, including the Iranian threat, Gaza's future, and why Israel needs to act even stronger. This interview was held on August 6.Here are our 18 questions:As an Israeli, and as a Jew, how are you feeling at this moment in Israeli history? What has been Israel's greatest success and greatest mistake in its war against Hamas? How do you think Hamas views the outcome and aftermath of October 7—was it a success, in their eyes? What do you look for in deciding which Knesset party to vote for?Which is more important for Israel: Judaism or democracy? What role should the Israeli government have in religious matters?Should Israel treat its Jewish and non-Jewish citizens the same? Now that Israel already exists, what is the purpose of Zionism? Is opposing Zionism inherently antisemitic? Is the IDF the world's most moral army?If you were making the case for Israel, where would you begin? Can questioning the actions of Israel's government and army — even in the context of this war — be a valid form of love and patriotism? What do you think is the most legitimate criticism leveled against Israel today?Do you think peace between Israelis and Palestinians will happen within your lifetime? What should happen with Gaza and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict after the war?Do you think Israel is properly handling the Iranian threat?Where do you identify on Israel's political and religious spectrum, and do you have friends on the “other side”?Do you have more hope or fear for Israel and the Jewish People?

David Packouz's life started as a fairly normal one. When he was 23 he began working with his childhood friend Efraim in his new arms business. They began securing government contracts to supply arms to the US military during the second Gulf War. To increase their revenue and contracts they began sourcing ammunitions from China via Albania which was illegal to do. When the US Government caught on to what they were doing, it resulted in federal indictments, betrayal and prison time. David's story was told in the Hollywood blockbuster movie WAR DOGS. He's here today to tell us exactly how everything went down! Go Support David!
