On Reddit, Paul Sarker decided to answer some questions from MCU fans about how the legal side of things functions. One fan asked about NDA's and their stipulations. To this question, Sarker delivered the most extensive answer about how these agreements are drawn up and executed. It's a fascinating window into the creative process. Sarker's answer: "The NDAs are helpful and they frame the discussion, if there is ever a dispute. But the relationship is also important. Leaking something would burn a bridge and be a deal breaker. Plus everything is watermarked so they would be able to trace it to someone. And more importantly, why would you want to eliminate your chance of being in the MCU or television canon? Once someone is cast and under contract, they may be able to disclose their role but that would have to be coordinated with marketing and creative. There is an overall master plan behind all of that stuff. If you breach a contract, in addition to being sued they could terminate it or withhold some pay. Marvel is very protective of confidentiality. They vet everyone and everything. Anyone coming to an office or getting a link to confidential information will have to sign an NDA. It's not just limited to talent." ‘Crazy Rich Asians' & ‘Superstore' Actor Nico Santos Joins ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3' https://deadline.com/2022/06/guardians-galaxy-nico-santos-crazy-rich-asians-superstore-james-gunn-marvel-1235044944/ Crazy Rich Asians and Superstore actor Nico Santos is the latest name we can reveal to be in Marvel's recently wrapped Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. The anticipated threequel will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, Karen Gillan, Elizabeth Debicki, Will Poulter and Chuk Iwuji. As we revealed in recent weeks, Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm) and The Suicide Squad breakout Daniela Melchior are also among cast. Filipino-American actor Santos is best known for playing Oliver T'sien in Crazy Rich Asians and sales associate Mateo Liwanag in the NBC series Superstore, for which he was nominated for back-to-back Critics' Choice Awards. Recent features include animation Wish Dragon and HBO Max animated series The Prince. DISNEY+ Marvel Developing ‘Wonder Man' Series With Destin Daniel Cretton, Andrew Guest (Exclusive) https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/wonder-man-marvel-disney-1235166956/ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton has teamed up with Andrew Guest, a writer-producer on comedies such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Community, to tackle a live-action series featuring the longtime Marvel character. Guest will serve as head writer of the series, while Cretton will exec produce and possibly direct an episode or more. Cretton is working via his overall deal with Marvel Studios, signed late last year in the glow of Shang-Chi's success. The two will also act as co-creators for the series. Wonder Man is one of Marvel's oldest characters, first introduced in 1964 in the pages of Avengers No 9. He was initially a villain and only appeared sporadically in the early Marvel Age, but was reconceived as a hero (and Avenger) in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, the character really came into his own. Known as Simon Williams, he was a founding member of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Avengers and, with a look that included a turtleneck, a red jacket and sunglasses, became a celebrity thanks to his day job as an actor and stuntman. Good Morning, Colorado, you’re listening to the Daily Sun-Up. It’s Wednesday May 5th, and even though there’s a lot of turmoil right now we’re feeling lucky to start the day with you. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine is back in use now. Today -- Why a Colorado woman who experienced blood clotting after getting the vaccine is still an advocate for it. But before we begin, let’s go back in time with some Colorado history adapted from historian Derek R Everett’s book “Colorado Day by Day”: Today, we take you back to May 5th, 1910 when Oliver T. Jackson filed for a homestead in Weld County. This was the first step toward establishing an agricultural colony for African Americans. Jackson hoped that the nascent community - named Dearfield - would promote independence and self sufficiency for a group with few opportunities at that time. Unfortunately a postwar recession hit Dearfield hard, and by 1925 most had left. Now, our feature story. The Johnson and Johnson coronavirus vaccine was paused for a few weeks last month as health officials investigated a rare form of blood clotting that occurred in a handful of women. The single-dose vaccine is back in use now, as officials determined its value to public health outweighed the rare adverse reactions. Reporter John Ingold talks with Lucy Haggard about a Colorado woman who experienced similar clotting -- and why she’s still an advocate for the vaccine. To read the full story, go to coloradosun.com. And Before we go, here are a few stories that you should know about today: Colorado Democrats formally introduced their long-awaited transportation bill Tuesday that seeks to combine fees from multiple sources. Senate Bill 260 would add a new charge on gas purchases, as well as deliveries, rideshare trips and electric vehicle registrations. The bill has support from two state Republicans as well as much of the business community. Funding for transportation projects has been notoriously difficult to gather in Colorado in recent years, with frequent partisan gridlock and multiple rejected ballot measures. The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests are adding reservation systems to some of their most popular spots this summer. The land saw record visitation last season, including 700 encounters between humans and bears. The 1.5 million acres includes Brainard Lake and Mount Evans, both of which will operate under a timed entry system. All overnight visitors to the forest will also be required to have bear-proof food storage containers. Other protective changes will be announced soon, including some overnight areas switching to day-use only and instituting fire bans earlier in the season. The three U.S. Antarctic research stations are now hiring for seasonal jobs, and they’re starting their search for candidates this Thursday in Centennial. Most of the positions don’t require an advanced degree, but recruiters caution they’re not easy jobs. Workers stay at the south pole anywhere from five months to a year at a time, and the coronavirus pandemic means traveling to and from the stations will take a few weeks as well. But impending improvements to one of the research stations will likely reduce the jobs available on the continent within the next decade, so seasoned workers and newcomers alike are encouraged to apply now. LA County continues to be the nation’s hotspot for COVID-19 cases. The county has been averaging around 16,000 new cases every day since the new year. Around 436,000 people have been vaccinated in California, a state with some 40 million residents. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti blames the federal government for the slow rollout. But there are also reports that many frontline health care workers are turning down the vaccines. “There is no coordinated national strategy to getting people vaccinated. … So the states have put plans together,” says Dr. Oliver T. Brooks, who’s part of the team that drafted the guidelines for the rollout. He’s also chief medical officer of Watts Healthcare Corporation. He says he believes more doses will come to LA County. “I think once people see that people are getting vaccinated, they're going to want it too. … We will have more vaccines. I'd say in six months, we will have a fair amount.”

Thousands of Angelenos have crowded the streets of Los Angeles to protest police violence and the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and countless other African Americans. It’s all happening in the face of a global pandemic. Nonetheless, Dr. Oliver T. Brooks says, “I’ve spoken to a number of African Americans, physicians and non-physicians, and the general consensus is we need to protest.”

"Persevere through the tough times" Bio Oliver T. Carr, III ("Ollie") serves as Carr Properties’ Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Board of Directors. Oliver also serves as Chairman of the Executive Board of the MIT Center for Real Estate and on the Executive Committee of the Federal City Council. Prior to founding Carr Properties, Oliver served as Chairman and CEO of Columbia Equity Trust (NYSE:COE), where he and his team successfully took the company public in 2005. During his career, Oliver has completed over $4.0 billion of property acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and financings. Oliver received his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies, with a concentration in Economics from Trinity College and his Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Carr Properties is a privately held real estate investment trust that owns, manages, acquires, and develops high-quality properties in Washington, D.C. and Boston, Massachusetts. The company currently owns a portfolio of fourteen commercial office properties totaling approximately 3.8 million square feet and maintains a pipeline of five development projects that will add a further 2.4 million square feet to our portfolio of properties. They are continuing to expand through strategic investments in the Washington, D.C. and Boston, Massachusetts areas. Show Notes Oliver (Ollie) T. Carr, III and John Coe Ollie Carr and I have known each other since 1999 when I helped him finance his first suburban office building acquisition. We went on to finance over $300MM of debt and equity transactions together until 2004 right before he rolled up his company into a public REIT called Columbia Equity Trust. The youngest son of Oliver T. Carr, Jr., perhaps the most prolific office building developer in the 1970s and 1980s in Washington, DC, he had real estate in his DNA with his namesake to boot, but as you will hear, he initially wanted to go a different path and became a banker prior to the 1990-91 financial crisis. Resetting his sights at that point as banking became difficult, he applied to graduate school and decided that MIT's Real Estate Program was the best opportunity. That led him to start his own company, Carr Capital in 1994, first into CMBS lending until the late 90's financial crisis that crashed the CMBS market, then into acquisitions with the help of two of his MIT classmates and seed capital from friend and family. Subsequently, he took his company public and then private again with many iterations. Now he leads a company that has and is developing among the largest mixed use projects in the region. In episode 3, I take a look at the Reichstag fire from the perspective of modern firefighting while making use of the latest historical research and newly accessible primary sources. I made the mistake of confusing Hett's name as "Christopher". I don't know why I did this, but his name is Benjamin Hett. Works consulted: Brenden, Piers. The Dark Valley: A Panorama of the 1930s.
