To be able to see God working in our lives, we have to be intentional to seek Him and choose to believe with expectancy that He is always at work. To be able to lay down all that we are and open our hearts to God in faith and expectancy. It is definate that we will see Him move in a special way. If we choose to believe that God speaks then it changes how we listen and with time it becomes more organic because we get familiar with His voice and how He speaks. Our commitment is grounded on the fact that, we believe He is present in our lives, at all seasons and through every circumstance. Hence with this confidence, our heart desire to see and hear His speak to us will be fulfilled. When we have faith God is real, and He is good, then our faith pleases Him and then He opens more opportunities to us to get to experience or encounter Him in a special way. In His love, He draws us to Him by allowing us to experience Him. The more we experience His presence, we experience His love too..... a love that transforms us from inside out. This is a journey of Trust.

The truth of the matter is podcast is all about providing an honest, contextual, historicized, Philosophical and Psychological view of the Bible through the use of Hermeneutics, while sharing some personal experiences from myself, Daniel and on occasion our special guest. This week we have two guests. Paul Granger who has a podcast called: where did you see God? And Terrance Mcullen who has a podcast called: what's the value? We're investigating a key piece of gamebook history this episode as we explore The Cave of Time, the first proper Choose Your Own Adventure book by Edward Packard with art by Paul Granger. With 40 different endings this packs a lot of adventure into a small package. It spawned a wildly successful franchise but is this book actually any good? HJDoom plays it to find out and offers a mildly contentious and completely untested theory about the reason gamebooks exploded in the early eighties.

I was connected with Paul by a mutual friend and we actually had a conversation on another podcast prior to this one. This works out well sometimes, because it allows us to get deeper into the discussion since we already have a baseline understanding of each other. Paul brought "love God and love others" as his strongly held belief to discuss for the show. What I knew about Paul from our prior conversation was that he would be super thoughtful about why he believed so strongly in this idea and he would also be super open to examining/challenging it to try to understand it better. We discussed why there are some Christians who would agree with his belief but don't follow it, why people are skeptical of Christianity, why so many Christians feel compelled to "stand up" for God, and if suffering is ever something that we should accept in the world.
