In this episode, we wanted to open up discussion on the solo career of Roger Waters, starting in 1984. Waters' albums and stage productions depict some of the most interesting, powerful, and sometimes confusing concepts in music. So, to help us out, we invited two Roger Waters enthusiasts to delve deeper into this era of his career. We discuss our thoughts on each of Roger's solo works from this period, as well as 1983's The Final Cut. We also give insights into his groundbreaking stage productions from this era, talk about Magic BILLY and Radio KAOS, the reality of finding sound in a sea of faces and dust at The Wall in Berlin 1990, as well as answer the age old question: “What are The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking?”

Ciao a tutte e a tutti.Gennaio è annoiato come pochi altri mesi ho visto fare ed essere. Svaccato per terra lancia svogliato delle carte dentro a un cestino di vimini a pochi passi da lui, e ognuna di queste carte rappresenta un cambio del meteo: ora sole, ora pioggia, nebbia, ghiaccio eterno e cosi via. Dice che tanto ormai sta finendo il suo mandato e che non ha senso prepararsi, ma ha promesso di far uscire un po’ di sole prima di andare via. Io voglio credergli perché un po’ mi fa tenerezza visto che lo abbiamo caricato di aspettative ben oltre le sua capacità, allora gli tendiamo una mano per rialzarsi e lo accompagniamo verso l’uscita. La cornice in cui tutto questo accade, oggi, però ci aiuta a meglio sopportare queste giornate immergendoci nuovamente in una nuova Onda, in un nuovo episodio, il quarto della terza stagione che scalpita per donarci tutto ciò che ha in grembo. 
Questa quarta puntata porta anch’essa la voce e i racconti di un altro grande ospite: eclettico, multi talentoso, un uomo dalle grandi doti narrative scritte, parlate, di istantanee dietro all’obiettivo, di libri pubblicati, di collaborazioni su carta e tanto, credetemi, tanto altro. 
Il suo nome, Alessio Belli, io credo che molti di voi già lo conoscano e in caso contrario dopo questa puntata lo sarà, redattore di Ondarock dal 2018, giornalista e scrittore collabora con il Mucchio, Chep Sound e Deer Waves, per Radio Kaos lavora sia come speaker e fotografo, si occupa di giornalismo, fotografia, ed ha pubblicato l’anno scorso un libro meraviglioso dal titolo L&R L’Enigma Lindemann e Rammstein, che si concentra nel risolvere la figura misteriosa e affascinante del frontman dei Rammstein, Till Lindemann: questo è giusto per darvi un affresco veloce del nostro ospite. 
Alessio per l’episodio che lo vede protagonista, ha preparato una raccolta di canzoni davvero stupenda. La sua tavolozza sonora, ci porta a conoscere e ad ascoltare dei gruppi di enorme bellezza e avremo modo di sbirciare quali siano i gusti personali o almeno una piccola parte, dal punto di vista di chi la musica non solo la venera e la ascolta, ma la racconta in svariate forme da molto tempo. El cantante y guitarrista Manuel Suarez nos cuenta de sus andares en la música, Su historia con Signos Vitales, Guillotina, Motor y más recientemente Slo-Blow (supergrupo con material próximo a publicar y conformado por integrantes de Resorte, Radio Kaos, el Haragan y Cia.) y lo que lo mantiene ocupado en esta época de pandemia.

En éste programa centramos la atención en una joven banda amiga - ECLIPSODIA - formada en la ciudad de Punta Alta por Federico Gencarelli en voz y guitarra rítmica, Diego Staltari en guitarra líder y coros, Juan Pablo Fernández en bajo y Gabriel Garcés en batería y percusión. Federico Gencarelli nos cuenta sobre la publicación del segundo álbum de la banda titulado "Puente Sideral" que ya tiene su primer single "Wasted People" disponible para su escucha en todas las plataformas musicales. Adelante en exclusivo para RADIO KAOS dos temas más de ese trabajo discográfico. También tenemos nuestra habitual sección Efemérides en la que recordamos el natalicio de algunos de los músicos más destacados de la escena del rock y el blues producido durante la semana. Las bandas invitadas son Collective Soul con Shine-, Beastie Boys con (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right y por último Foo Fighters con el temazo Everlong. Alarmados porque se nos venía encima el nuevo programa de Radio Kaos sin que se nos cayera una sola idea sobre cuál podría ser la temática central que abordara el mismo, y sumado el hecho de una creciente fatiga intelectual que nos dificultaba sobremanera ponernos a trabajar decididamente para cumplimentar este objetivo, es que tomamos la salvadora decisión de que la temática del día sea, simplemente, el recopilar las efemérides de la semana que incluirán hechos o situaciones que, en la mayoría de los casos, no serían tomadas en cuenta por otras conmemoraciones, pero que nosotros hemos decidido rescatar para el conocimiento y disfrute de las futuras generaciones. Como podrán ver, en definitiva las efemérides son tan solo una excusa para escuchar un poco de muy buena música, “Can´t get enough” (Bad Company), “Go your on way” (Fleetwood Mac), “Long Way from Home” (Whitesnake), “Soul Sacrifice” (Santana), “Free Fallin” (Tom Petty), “Dreamer” (Supertramp), “Loser” (Beck) y “Hip To Be Square” (Hew Lewis & The News). Además, entrevista telefónica con Tomy Portela guitarrista y cantante, oriundo de Mar del Plata, con quine nos comunicamos para conversar sobre sus dos proyectos musicales en curso, KARL PETERSON y CHIROPTERA, musicalizado la charla con los temas “Io y “Quemar las Naves” de la primer banda y “Weak Human Cage” de la segunda.

El rock and roll es el inicio, la prehistoria de lo que hoy conocemos como rock, un estilo derivado de la mezcla de otros estilos musicales que surgieron de la música folclórica estadounidense como el doo wop, el rhythm and blues, el hillbilly, el blues, el country y el western como los más destacados. Falto de ideas buscamos en tres valientes oyentes el desafío de musicalizar el programa, Carlos Alberto Vazquez eligió un bloque bailable con cuatro clásicos de la década 80/90 Village People – Can't Stop the Music, Wham – Wake Me up Before You Go-Go, Erasure – Stop! y Culture Club – Karma Chameleon, César Ortiz, Baladas de bandas de heavy metal de los 80 WASP – Hold on to My Heart, Lita Ford & Ozzy Osbourne – Close my eyes forever, Kingdom Come – What Love Can Be y Helloween – A Tale That Wasn't Right y Ezequiel Vallati temas de Grunge Temple of the dog – Hunger Strike, Audioslave – Like A Stone, Pearl Jam – Rearview mirror y Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit. Recordamos al gran Jon Lord, el legendario tecladista de Deep Purple quien un 9 de junio de 1941 nacía en Inglaterra, uno de los precursores del rock sinfónico, supo fusionar una orquesta con composiciones de rock que fueron el puntapié para muchas bandas de rock progresivo.Bueno, no hay mucho más que contar, un programa con la música como protagonista principal. Hablar de Pink Floyd o de Génesis es hablar de buena música. Y si bien sabemos y sostenemos en este espacio, que en cuanto a gustos no hay ni puede haber disputa, como diría el gran Catalán, a la hora de tomarse un tiempo para sentarse cómodamente en un mullido sillón, con una copa de buen vino en la mano y con la única intención de saborear plácidamente durante una hora de buenos sonidos. Tanto Pink Floyd como Génesis comparten la calidad de sus composiciones, siendo generalmente catalogadas como bandas de rock progresivo, sinfónico o de vanguardia y a sus integrantes como músicos de alto nivel compositivo. Pero algo más comparten estas dos superbandas, sus vocalistas principales, en el momento de mayor éxito y fama, decidieron abandonar al grupo y emprender una carrera en solitario. Y vaya si lo han logrado Roger Waters y Peter Gabriel. Sobre sus obras es que trata el programa Nº 80 de Radio Kaos. Repasamos su historia musical una vez alejados de los grupos que los vieron nacer, recordaremos sus mayores éxitos y fracasos y compartimos algunas de las canciones que, a nuestro criterio, los consagraron como músicos solistas. También tenemos la sección efemérides con Stephen Pearcy, cantante de la banda Ratt y el tema Back for More y Vince Clarke, cantante y tecladista de Depeche Mode con su famoso éxito Personal Jesus.

Quienes formamos Radio Kaos queremos adherirnos a la celebración internacional del día de la Mujer y, como pequeño homenaje, hemos preparado para este miércoles 11 de marzo, una programación conformada exclusivamente por canciones que lleven como título el nombre de alguna mujer. De esta forma y durante una hora media, podremos recordar viejos tiempos con algunos éxitos de los 70 como por ejemplo “Lola”, de los Kinks, “Susy Q” de Credence, “Vera” de Pink Floyd o “Maggie May” de Rod Stewart.Aquellas/os que todavía no peinan canas, o se las tiñen, podrán disfrutar de Blondie y su mega Hit “María”, “Susana” de los Art Company y “Rosanna” del grupo Toto. Y como no podías olvidarnos de los rockeros nacionales, también estarán presentes Pappo y su “Elvira”, Los Ratones con “Carol”, Lito Nebbia con “Rosemary”, primer sencillo luego de la separación de Los Gatos y Alma y Vida con "Cadenet". Como siempre, para las románticas de Viedma y Patagones, en nuestra sección “Que vuelvan los lentos”, pasaremos el clásico “Angie” de los Rolling. Además recibimos la inestimable colaboración en la producción y edición de audio en separadores y avances de Leonardo Baro y en el diseño de la página WEB de Juan Carlos Preus. La primera emisión salió al aire un 4 de abril de 2018. During World War 2, across Europe, partisans used underground radio against the Nazis. Ljubljana, Slovenia, was occupied and encircled by barbed wire. Subversive broadcasters set up Radio Kričač in a different basement every night, trying to stay one step ahead of the fascists. Broadcasts opened with the urgency of a ticking clock. In 1945, Slovene partisans threw out the fascist occupiers, without the military assistance of the allies. Seven decades later, the spirit of that resistance is being celebrated. Aljaž Pengov Bitenc is descended from Slovenian partisans and radio folk. He writes blog, a newspaper column and runs Radio Kaos. East Van Calling talked to Aljaž about Radio Kričač in his small studios, overlooking the old city of Ljubljana. With one eye on the board to monitor the station’s afternoon broadcasts, he explained how those WW2 anti-fascist transmissions worked. The irregular transmissions had moral boosting messages, reports of partisan actions and readings form Slovene authors and poets. Eventually, Kričač went radio silent. The fascists could never find the transmitter. Instead, they confiscated all the radio receivers of Ljubljana. But now it's back.
