Raised: When Jesus Calls the Dead to Life – John 11:27–57 In Episode 141 of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore one of the most powerful miracles in all of Scripture—the raising of Lazarus in John 11:27–57. As grief, doubt, hope, and faith collide, Jesus declares Himself to be “the resurrection and the life” before calling Lazarus from the tomb. Together, they unpack what this miracle reveals about the heart of God, the power of belief, and how Jesus often works in ways that stretch our faith beyond what we can see. This chapter is not only about a man being raised from the dead—it's about a Savior who brings life into every place that feels hopeless, buried, or beyond redemption. If you've ever wondered whether God can still move in what feels impossible, this conversation is a reminder that Jesus specializes in resurrection. What area of my life feels beyond hope—and am I willing to believe that Jesus still brings dead things back to life?____________________________________ Connect with Jamie: Website: www.jamieklusacek.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacek Connect with Jane: Website: www.janewwilliams.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams

On the day we honor the women among us, we remember the story of a woman who was so beloved that when she passed, the community gathered to show off her handmade clothes. But Peter asked The Lord to let her live again…
Sunday Morning Sermon
Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel – John 3:7b-15 – Jesus said to Nicodemus: “‘You must be born from above.’ The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, ‘How can this happen?” Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this? Amen, amen, I say to you, We speak of what We know and We testify to what We have seen, but you people do not accept Our testimony. If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? No one has gone up to heaven except the One Who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day
Resurrection didn't end with Jesus—it started something in us.In this powerful continuation of the resurrection series, Pastor Bill explores what happened after the resurrection of Christ. From Jonah and Lazarus to the early church in Acts, we see that God's power to bring life from death didn't stop at the empty tomb—it was passed on to His followers.Focusing on Acts 9 and Acts 20, this message highlights the miraculous works of Peter and Paul as they step into the calling Jesus gave them: to carry His power, His authority, and His mission into the world.“Whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing—and even greater things than these.” (John 14:12)This isn't just history—it's an invitation. We are not called to be spectators in our faith, but participants. Every day is an opportunity to pray boldly, love deeply, and trust God to move in ways that bring hope, healing, and life to those around us.The same power that raised Christ from the dead is still at work today—through His people.Welcome to Living Hope Church! Sermon preached by Pastor Adam Copenhaver on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
At the heart of this Easter message lies a transformative truth: resurrection isn't just about Jesus rising from the grave two thousand years ago—it's about what can rise from the dead in our lives today. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 15 and the eyewitness testimonies of over 500 people who saw the risen Christ, we're reminded that the church isn't built on a book or a philosophy, but on an event so real that millions throughout history have chosen death over denying it. The message challenges us to open our hearts to a radical possibility: the same resurrection power that raised Jesus can raise the dead areas of our own lives—broken relationships, addictions, financial bondage, lost purpose, and dreams we've buried. Through Romans 5-6, we discover that resurrection life means three powerful realities: it redeems our yesterday, freeing us from the pain and guilt of the past; it reorients our today, giving us power over sin and purpose for living; and it reassures our tomorrow, securing our eternal hope. This isn't about religious renovation or self-improvement—it's about dead things coming alive. The question isn't whether God can resurrect what's dead in our lives, but whether we're willing to believe He will. When we understand that Jesus introduced Himself as 'the resurrection and the life,' we realize He didn't come to make bad people good—He came to make dead people live.

What are you connecting your hope to right now? In this episode, Mike Hess teaches from 1 Peter 1:3 and answers the question that Peter wrote to first-century Christians who had lost jobs, land, and family for their faith. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is the confident expectation that God will be true to his promises, grounded in the historical reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This was true in the first century. Mike makes the case it is just as true in 2026. Presented by McGregor Podcast 2026 Visit Our Website at McGregorPodcast.com
Palm Sunday reminds us that Jesus didn't just come to be celebrated—He came to save.In this powerful message, Pastor Bill walks through the story of Palm Sunday and the miraculous account in Mark 5 of Jairus' daughter and the woman with the issue of blood. One Savior who meets both needs perfectly. This sermon highlights how Jesus moves with purpose, compassion, and perfect timing—even when it feels like He's delayed. Whether you're believing for healing, restoration, or a second chance, this message reminds us that God is never late, never distracted, and never powerless. As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday, we're invited to shift our focus from expectation to belief—and to trust that Jesus still brings dead things back to life.“Don't be afraid. Only believe.” – Mark 5:36Welcome to Living Hope Church! These podcasts are our weekly Sunday sermons. We hope you enjoy them.
Resurrection Starts Before the Empty Tomb | Everyday OpportunitiesIn this powerful message, Pastor Bill shares testimonies from a recent mission trip and reveals a foundational truth: God is near, and He is always at work bringing life where things feel dead.As we prepare for Resurrection Sunday, we're reminded that resurrection isn't just a New Testament idea—it's something God has been demonstrating all along. From Jonah's time in the depths to the miracle through Elisha, Scripture shows us a consistent pattern: God pursues, restores, and brings life back to what seems lost. This message speaks to anyone who feels distant, discouraged, or spiritually dry—and to those believing for loved ones who seem far from God. No matter how far gone it feels, God is not finished.➡️ You'll be encouraged to:• Recognize that God is near—even in the darkest moments• Let go of past failures and embrace new life in Christ• Believe again for resurrection in your life and in othersBecause the same God who raised Jesus from the dead…is still bringing dead things back to life today.Scriptures referenced:Romans 10:9–11John 10:28Matthew 12:38–41Jonah 22 Kings 4:28–37#Resurrection #Faith #ChristianSermon #HopeWelcome to Living Hope Church! The Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death. And if we are all sinners, then we are are doomed to die a spiritual death. That is why the Church wants us to take note of the story of the raising of Lazarus from the dead. His real life resurrection teaches us of us that even if we are four days dead and things seem hopeless, we can still be saved.

How Can We Be Born Again? Through the One Raised from the Dead. MESSAGE SUMMARY: Today, we delve into the profound mystery of the Holy Spirit and its vital role in our Christian walk. We're reminded that it's not just about having the Holy Spirit, but allowing the Spirit to have us - to lead and guide our lives. The message emphasizes three key sins against the Holy Spirit: grieving, quenching, and blaspheming. When we choose bitterness over love, or hold onto unforgiveness, we grieve the Spirit. Every time we sin, we quench the Spirit's flow in our lives. Yet, there's hope in confession, which reopens the floodgates of the Spirit's presence. This teaching challenges us to examine our hearts: Are we truly yielding to the Spirit's guidance? Are we living holy lives that honor God? It's a call to deeper surrender and a reminder of our constant need for the Spirit's empowering presence in our faith journey. TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I now take a deep breath and stop. So often I miss your hand and gifts in my life because I am preoccupied and anxious. Grant me the power to pause each day and each week to simply rest in your arms of love. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 132). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that, because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be a complainer (Philippians 2:14). “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”. (Philippians 4:14). Verse by verse study through the book of Acts Chapter Three and Verse Fifteen
A woman is healed and a young girl is raised to life. Jesus is the only one who can do such miracles. There is no physician, no medicine, no cure to death and the pangs of this life except in Christ. He is gracious and willing to heal, intent on having a personal relationship with those He saves. It's by faith these women are made well; the same is true for us today.

In Acts 2:14-41, in the first Apostolic sermon on the day of Pentecost, Peter proclaims the glory of Christ's Kingdom in connection with His resurrection from the dead. Through union with Christ, every believer triumphs with Christ, being seated with Him in the heavenly places, overcoming their sins in this life, and reigning with Christ in the world to come having overcome death itself in victory. Such is the hope of the gospel, and such is Christ's victory as King in His resurrection from the dead.
At Easter Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It is so central to the Christian faith that Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15 that if Christ hadn't been raised then his preaching would be in vain and your faith would be in vain. But we celebrate this Easter 2025 because Jesus has in fact been raised from the dead and the account of His resurrection has been recorded by multiple eyewitnesses. He is risen!
The anchor of our faith is not just in the death of Jesus on the cross, but in His resurrection. We also experience grief, fear, and disappointment in death. Jesus does more than bring comfort, peace, and hope; He gives us new life.

John 11 records the 7th and final miracle of Jesus' ministry in John's record. In the text, Jesus makes a bold claim, and then proves it by raising Lazarus from the dead. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

In the latest episode of Didaché, host Justin Peters critically examines the claims made by David Hogan, a preacher known for his alleged miraculous acts, including raising people from the dead. Peters highlights discrepancies in Hogan's stories, challenges the theological implications of such claims, and scrutinizes the impact on followers. He delves into the lack of evidence supporting Hogan's assertions and critiques the broader charismatic movement for its acceptance and promotion of such controversial figures. This episode calls for discernment among believers, urging them to seek authenticity and scriptural alignment in Christian ministry.
