Hebrews 2:9-18 – Jesus, Our Faithful High PriestIn this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore Hebrews 2:1-9, where we receive a critical warning about the danger of drifting away from our faith. They discuss why it's essential to stay anchored in Christ, the role of angels in God's plan, and how Jesus humbled Himself to bring salvation to humanity. Tune in for deep biblical insights and practical ways to stay firmly rooted in God's truth.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 2:9-18: But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.” And again, “I will put my trust in him.” And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved
Hebrews 2:1-9 – The Urgent Warning Against Drifting AwayIn this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane explore Hebrews 2:1-9, where we receive a critical warning about the danger of drifting away from our faith. They discuss why it's essential to stay anchored in Christ, the role of angels in God's plan, and how Jesus humbled Himself to bring salvation to humanity. Tune in for deep biblical insights and practical ways to stay firmly rooted in God's truth.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 2:1-9: We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honorand put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone____________________________________Connect with Jamie:Website: www.jamieklusacek.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacekConnect with Jane:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams____________________________________ Get Jamie's Newest Book:Living Loved: An 8-week Journey to Living Fully Loved

Together, they unpack the theological depth of these verses, offering practical insights to apply to your faith journey. Whether you're new to studying Hebrews or revisiting it, this episode will inspire you to see Jesus in a whole new light.Verses For Today's Study:Hebrews 1-5: In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father”? Happiness Solved with Sandee Sgarlata. In this episode, Sandee interviews Jamie Lee Silver. Jamie Lee Silver, also known as The Grief to Gratitude Guru, is expert in utilizing EFT Tapping and Energetics to bring peace of being, peace of heart and peace of mind to people who are moving through grief. Her renowned "Grief to Gratitude" System has helped countless individuals transform their deepest sorrows into genuine gratitude. Jamie's personal journey became the catalyst for her work when her beloved son Ben battled late onset schizophrenia, tragically taking his own life in 2015. Motivated by her grief and determined to find purpose in the pain, she embarked on a mission to turn her tragedy into a source of healing and inspiration. Through her own experiences and utilizing techniques like Tapping, Jamie found solace and rediscovered joy amidst her profound loss. In addition to her coaching work, Jamie and Ben co-authored their book, Our Forever Ben: One Mom's Letters to Her Son in Spirit and His Poetic Replies, based on her correspondence with Ben through automatic writing. She also founded the non-profit "Ben's Memorial Mile," raising more than $150,000 to date for the National Alliance for Mental Illness and The Body and Brain Behavior Institute for brain research to cure schizophrenia. This week, I'm talking with Jamie Lee, a fellow executive coach who helps women who hate office politics get promoted. If you are thinking that we have been talking A LOT about sex this year on the podcast, you are right. But as part of my goals for 2023, I wanted to amp up the intimacy game in my own marriage and so here we are. This week I am chatting with Dr. Kelly Casperson about you guessed it, sex. Kelly wants to reach the large majority of women who feel shame and broken and uneducated about their bodies, specifically their sexuality and pelvic health. In this episode Kelly and I dive into confidence in sex, the shame related to sex that women often feel, the ways men and women are treated differently when it comes to sex, why the penis just sometimes doesn't work, things to amp it up in the bedroom, talking to your kids about sex and SO much more! This episode has been highly requested in the past but I never had the experience to talk about it. That is until I met Michelle Wolfe. Michelle's stepmom experience is a little different because her stepdaughters bio mom has passed away. In this episode Michelle shares all about her experience being a stepmom to a child who has lost their mom. We dive into her experience dating a man with kids and how that changed when his ex passed away, what it was like moving into the house they lived in together, how she has cultivated a positive relationship with her daughter while still honouring her mom and how she has found her place in her family. Sometimes, the hardest part of your journey is the most important. It shapes who you are today and allows you to grow in a way that would not have been possible otherwise. And now - you would never want to erase it from your history. My guest today had a similar experience. Today I was joined by Jamie Hess, Fitness & Lifestyle Expert. She shared how her journey truly started in her teens and early twenties when she was an addict. We chatted about her: - Journey in the fitness space and how it lead to an IG account with 175K followers - Mom's career on Good Morning America shaped her business career - Upcoming retreat in April and how it relates back to the work she does Learn more about Jamie: Website: www.nycfitfam.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/nycfitfam Retreat: https://www.thebigaskmethod.com/retreat If you've been loving the Next Level Leap podcast, would you just stop what you're doing right now and give us a quick review? In 2016, on a leap of faith, I signed up for something called a Power Circle and was guided through a six month process by this amazing facilitator Jamie Greenwood. In the space that Jamie held for a small group of us, I said out loud my dreams for Mother's Quest for the first time, and at Jamie's urging, started a Facebook Group for the community I hoped to grow in my journey. Six plus years, almost a 100 podcast episodes, and over a thousand FB Group members later, Jamie has become a mother herself, and has evolved her coaching practice into one that that teaches big-dreaming, high-achieving women, many of them mothers, how to set boundaries and find home within ourselves, without an ounce of guilt. Jamie is also the host of The Path Home, a podcast that explores the many facets of home, how we find home in ourselves and how we create a sense of home in our work, our relationships, our communities and in the future we want to see. When we arrived to this interview as 2022 was coming to a close, Jamie and I were both in the midst of juggling health and wellness challenges with our children. The conversation that unfolded was the reminder we both needed of the power of self-care, of how grateful we are for the flexibility to reorganize things to care for our children when needed, and of finding and communicating our boundaries. Jamie has found a definition she loves…”boundaries are the safe distance at which I can love you and I can love myself.” I loved this intimate conversation with the coach that helped me find my way at the start of Mother's Quest. In listening, I hope you are reminded, as I was, to slow down, to pay attention to what our bodies are telling us, to trust ourselves to set boundaries, to connect to what we're hungry for and to be brave enough to say it out loud. I hope this episode helps you come home to yourself. This Episode's Challenge: Part of coming home to ourselves is about bravery. Reach out to people for connection, and you might be surprised that you can build an instant community. Know that If you have a hunger for something, others likely have that hunger too. Ask yourself, “what kind of connection am I hungry for in my relationships and in my own community?” Then reach out. About Jamie Greenwood: Jamie Greenwood is a self care and leadership coach and the founder of Homecoming, a 6 month group coaching program that teaches big-dreaming, high-achieving women how to set boundaries and find home in themselves, without an ounce of guilt. With over 15 years experience, Jamie specializes in helping women get really clear on who they are, how they want to live and then actually doing it on their own terms. Jamie is also the host of The Path Home, a podcast that explores the many facets of home, how we find home in ourselves and how we create a sense of home in our work, our relationships, our communities and in the future we want to see. When Jamie's not coaching, speaking, or podcasting, you can find her running after her 14 year old, 6 year old and 4 year old daughters and wondering what's for dinner. His book ‘The Iconist' is the study of what makes anything iconic: the anatomy of what causes any idea, art or message to STAND OUT and take hold in the human mind, across any medium. In this episode of CHATTINN CYBER, Marc Schein interviews Jamie Singer, Managing Director FTI Consulting formerly, Executive Vice President at Resolute Strategic Services and Resolute Public Affairs. She is an experienced strategic communications advisor with deep expertise in crisis communications, and has counseled Fortune 500 companies through some of the biggest reputational crises of the past decade. During the conversation, Jamie and Marc explore the need, process, and tips for effective crisis communication in organizations. Crisis communicators are partners to legal and breach counsel. The latter engages them in a tri-party agreement to protect privilege, helping them act as an interplay and an ongoing dialogue for risk mitigation. When must an organization have a crisis or strategic communication with an expert? Jamie Singer explains that strategic communications need to start early when an organization engages with its forensics firm and insurance carrier. This is partly due to the increasing number of ransomware cases organizations face today (both internally and externally), rendering their systems inoperable for operations. However, communicating a data privacy breach or incident with the clients or media should happen only after careful thought and investigation. Because the cyber world is fluid - information and facts change quickly. It's possible that in the time you communicated an incident, the positions have changed and the risks mitigated; but by then, the organizational trust would have gotten in jeopardy. Organizations must be careful about the cadence and timing of reporting such incidents. It's all easy until the media comes into the picture. With the internet always up-to-date with the recent advancements in any space, cybersecurity traders and bloggers are also the first to break any reports of security breaches in organizations. The nature of the news, however, is often ‘report and move onto the next', a fact that organizations can leverage. Jamie Singer explains that companies can use media to get their key messages to the key stakeholders through written statements (and not LIVE interviews as they might backfire). What can organizations do to mitigate cyber risks and reduce cyber incidents? Work on the communications aspect - consider your communications protocol, review and improve messaging. It includes finding a way to communicate even when corporate emails are unavailable. For more, tune in to today's episode! Highlights “A common pitfall we see is companies saying too much and too quickly - Crisis Management 101 - you should communicate the minute something went wrong as transparently as possible. The problem with cyber is, investigations are quite fluid, information and facts change frequently. And so the early bird doesn't always catch the worm in these situations, if you communicate too quickly, before your systems are remediated, or before you have all the facts that can actually erode trust.” “There's often a lot of focus on what we say to customers and media and external stakeholders, but we continue to see the employee audience being forgotten, and they shouldn't, because they wear two hats there, they could be impacted by the incident and they interface with customers. So they need to know what's going on.” “We approach media typically as a transaction, how can we use media to make sure we are continuing to reiterate our key messages to our key stakeholders, and often that can be accomplished through written statements.” Time-Stamps: [01:55] - When must an organization have crisis communication? [03:21] - Why you must think before communicating with the rest of the world about a potential (or observed) data security breach [06:19] - Managing the media in the event of a cybersecurity threat [08:02] - What can companies do to be better prepared in the event of a cyber incident? Welcome to this first episode of Season Seven of the Mother's Quest Podcast! Today's episode was sparked by an experience I had on my most recent big milestone birthday. The morning of December 1st, I turned 50 and the podcast, which was a 45th birthday present to myself, turned 5. As I often do, I began my morning practice reading a book on my bedside table; the one I grabbed this time was a new one I had purchased called Wonder Seeker. Inspired by an idea within the gorgeously photographed pages, I hopped out of bed, wandered over to my bookshelf, pulled books from the shelves that were speaking to me on this occasion, and before I knew it had organized them into a pile which that became my "Manifesto for Becoming 50." There was such spontaneity, joy, and ease in this creative endeavor...qualities that emanate from the book Wonder Seeker and qualities I had long admired in Wonder Seeker's author Andrea Scher. So, when it came time to launch the new season and invite a guest to anchor our month-long Mother's Quest May invitation to reclaim our E.P.I.C. lives in the Mother's Quest Community, I knew just who to ask. What a delight it was when Andrea Scher said yes! Andrea is an author, artist, and life coach whose work is driven by her belief in the transformative power of creativity for joy and wellbeing. For nearly two decades, through her award-winning blog Superhero Journal, her Creative Superheroes podcast, and her bestselling e-courses, Andrea has thrilled others with their own power to find the magic all around them. Her new book, Wonder Seeker: 52 Ways to Wake up Your Creativity and Find Your Joy straddles the world of creativity and mindfulness - playfully inspiring readers to live more vibrant lives full of presence, joy, and connection. Like the book, I felt like this whole conversation straddled the world of creativity and mindfulness. Andrea shares with us where she developed her unique lens of looking at things through "wonder goggles" as she calls them, about the big dreams she calls Mondo Beyondo, how she loved herself and her children through her divorce, and where she's finding joy today. Talking with Andrea reminded me that our creative endeavors have ripple effects we may not even know and that we don't need permission to pursue the things that we love. I hope you love this conversation as much as I did and open yourself to seeking more wonder in your life. I also invite you to join me and Andrea in saying "yes" to our own Mondo Beyondo dreams, to our own creativity, and to creating our own Manifestos, by signing up for the Manifesto Challenge, linked in the show notes, tapping into some of the creative ideas for expression from Wonder Seeker, like the book spine poetry I drew inspiration from, and then joining Andrea and me on May 24th to celebrate what we're creating and manifesting together. The Great Feminine Divide—as Jamie Elizabeth Thompson calls it— starts in childhood. From a young age, most girls were bought up to believe that sex is taboo. But sexuality is a natural and essential aspect of human nature, and we intuitively know this. The lack of safe spaces prevents women from exploring their sexuality so instead they carry shame about having erotic thoughts and desires. This ancient distortion still persists today to control the feminine. To overcome this repression, women need to discern between their sexual truths and social conditioning. Question the rules and ask why you follow them. Delineate between what you truly believe and what you've been taught to believe. Don't be afraid to dive into your sexuality, for that too is a spiritual path to the divine. For so many women, sexuality only exists within relationships. Only with a partner do they feel safe to release their erotic side. Jamie encourages women to continue their pursuit of pleasure with themselves and with fellow sisters. Women can create their own contexts of sensuality without following limiting patterns. By fully embodying our erotic nature, there is a deeper sense of self-knowing. When we fully approve of ourselves, we cannot be easily swayed by outside forces who want to control us. Jamie is a holistic sex coach who equips individuals and couples with tools to help them break out of limiting sex patterns to have a more fulfilling intimate life. She is the founder of Awakened Woman, a curriculum and community for women to reconnect with their feminine sensuality and power and turn on their orgasmic potential. What we discuss: 08:32 - Jamie's sexual liberation 13:06 - Reconnecting spirituality with sexuality 18:24 - Safety and permission for self expression 22:22 - Reverence of the dark, erotic energy 30:36 - Awakened Woman 35:56 - Creating containers for sexuality 43:12 - Sacred sensual practice 46:56 - Intuitive desire is protection 51:38 - The Great Feminine Divide 58:02 - The priestess archetype 1:01:56 - Overcoming triggers and respecting boundaries 1:06:58 - What's the message of the Divine Mother to us? The Read with Carylee Show brings the love of literature to children and gives a peek behind the scenes by evoking the joy of reading, helping children interact with authors, and displaying the hidden talent of these authors who may be living in your community. This episode will read Tangled Up by Jamie Edelbrock. ✅ ABOUT THE STORY: Studies show one in six kids between the ages of two-and eight-years-old have a mental, behavioral, or developmental disorder. Navigating this world as a parent can be scary, but experiencing this as a young child can be even scarier. Author Jamie Edelbrock tackles this difficult topic in heartfelt words and pictures that unpack how it's like to be "tangled up" as complicated thoughts and emotions happen. The book shares how you must be brave and seek help from special people called therapists and counselors who help people when they are tangled up. They are professional detanglers who are willing to help and understand how important and unique you are. Tangled Up is intended to lessen the fear of the unknown and shines a positive, peaceful light on mental health and therapy. ✅ ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Jamie Edelbrock is a homeschool mom, preschool director, family ministry director, author, and advocate for children's mental health. Her award-winning children's book Tangled Up shares with kids and adults alike that it's okay not to be okay. The book started as Jamie's love letter to her daughter, telling her that she isn't alone and, like many others, should bravely seek help to get better. "Many things get tangled up in life, like our shoelaces or hair. Sometimes our necklaces or the hoses in your backyard. It's really frustrating. This story is about when feelings and emotions get tangled up, hard things happen in life, and you don't feel good inside. This talks about what to do when that happens." Jamie, a partner of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) chapter in Louisiana, aims to eliminate the stigma of seeking help. Empathy for others starts with empathy for yourself. Today's guest, Jamie Greenwood, is going to break down exactly why this is true and how self-compassion makes you a strong leader. She reveals the truth about what self-care really means (and it is not what you think), why ambitious leaders resist self-compassion, and how that can have negative consequences for themselves and their teams. We also discuss the intersection of empathy, self-care and self-compassion, and how it affects you as an organizational leader and in your own personal relationships. Listen in as we break down exactly what self-care and self-compassion means to your success as a strong leader. Key Takeaways:To make space for compassion for yourself, you have to be a bit of a rebel and push back against what society and culture tells you is acceptable.Self-compassion is being tender with yourself in troubling moments.Without self-care, we live small, contained lives. If you are bored and/or resentful, it is usually because you have no self-care in your life.Understanding our internal landscape will get us out of almost any sticky situation. "If you first start with being kind to yourself, it is a natural outflow to other people." — Jamie Greenwood About Jamie Greenwood:Jamie Greenwood, Life and Leadership CoachJamie Greenwood is a life and leadership coach, speaker and writer who gives driven women permission and a plan to put themselves first so they can quit the chaos and live life on their own terms. We've been conditioned to fit in certain boxes and then we judge ourselves or think something's wrong with us when it doesn't feel right. Then, we hold our kiddos to the same standards. What if you could powerfully work with your design (and you're child's design)? I recently had Jamie run my boys' charts and let me just say, it makes so much sense and it has shifted how I engage with them in ways that empower and support them.As Jamie state, "I love helping others to know themselves in a different way and to harness the power of Human Design to step more fully into one's authentic self, and to know the way that their loved ones tick."It's a powerful episode and as complex as Human Design can be, Jamie breaks it down as she truly believes "that just knowing a few basic things about Human Design can make a world of difference not only for the listener but also with their kids and partners."Tune in!Want Jamie to provide you with an in-depth reading of your child's chart? Episode 14: Let's face it. Feeding our children can feel like a daunting task at times. Feeding them healthy? Even more daunting. Honestly, sometimes just feeding myself regularly is too hard. Insert quick, convenient, junk food. Somehow food got so much more complicated as a Mom. Is it easy to neglect this area of our lives? Definitely. Most of us do, myself included at times. Zero judgment. But needing to eat & feeding our children isn't going away, so it serves us to take a good look at what's important to us around food & meal times. And because we do food all the time, it is vital that it works for us. There simply cannot be fighting, pressure, drama at every mealtime. That just might kill me.This is exactly why Irene brought Jamie Truppi, a friend & functional nutritionist, on today's episode to talk about all of this. For moms just like me.This episode is, at once, liberating (you get to do it your way) and totally practical. It isn't necessarily about changing what you eat. It's more about honoring what Jamie calls our Food Values. The perspective she offers has been SO helpful for me and I think it might be for you too. It makes SO MUCH SENSE. Jamie Jones Coleman is a trauma surgeon. As she puts it, most of what she does is "fixing holes in people", but that massively down-plays the complexity, skill and adrenaline of her job. The bleep goes, the team swings into action, and all hands are on deck to save a life. It sounds thrilling, but Jamie juggles this with being a wife to a former NFL player turned lawyer, a mother to two little boys, an international public speaker, and a writer. She has a successful blog with a readership of over 2 million, and has contributed to the HuffPost and US News. She is open on the challenges a female surgeon faces, the joys and challenges of motherhood and how writing allows her to bring a more creative aspect to her work. In this episode we discuss: - Jamie's upbringing and how her grandmother and other women in her family shaped her education and her goals - Being a "glorified plumber" (her words, not mine!) and why she enjoys the practical challenge of surgery - Being a mother and a surgeon, and the struggle of the juggle! - Why Jamie thinks being a mother makes her a better surgeon - The media's pitching of women with children and those without against one another, and why defining women as a stay-at-home-mother or a working mother or a childless woman is potentially harmful - How she keeps her career fresh and avoids burnout in a job that is incredibly stressful - Dealing with failure and learning from mistakes - Women supporting other women in work and beyond - Her writing, and how that took off initially Where to find Jamie: Website: https://jjcolemanmd.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamie-jones-coleman-258497128/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/@JJColemanMD/ Follow us for more: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/smashingtheceiling/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/smashingceiling Facebook: www.facebook.com/smashingtheceiling
Show Summary Jamie talks about his coffee brand Lean Caffiene with Karen. He disucces how it's important to keep in mind where your beans have come from and how they have been treated. If you have ever experienced a headache after coffee it may just be the quality rather the coffee or caffiene itself. They talk about the benefit of coffee from it's antioxidants and using it along with butter and MCT oil to set you up for your day in fat burning mode. Jamie's father passed away recently having suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, and he is determined to hack his genes and prevent the illness manifesting in himself.
