This time of year, in Pineland, if things are calm and quiet, one can hear the faint sound of someone blowing the Shofar in the distance. Today, we're honored to have Scott Kinder, author of Frag Out! join Paul & Mike in the G Base to remind us of the reason for the sound we hear. It's who we are, and what we are meant to be and do. Enjoy the episode.

Warriors, Fall in! It's time for Formation…Today, I have a guest whose educational motives involve breaking the status quo of a certification that has gone unopposed for over 20 years. Not only has this certification gone unopposed, but this certification across boundaries from the military to the civilian workforce is universally recognized to better your task efficiency, fully assures work completion, and relates work experience between the military and civilian professions. The certification that we're talking about today is for everyone and is of very high value.I'm joined today with the Chief Development Officer of DOL Coach, Heather Kuhns. And we previously spoke with another former executive from DOL Coach about his background and the importance of the certification. You see, DOL Coach is an educational organization that offers various levels of project management certifications. The unique thing about this is that it was founded by a Special Forces military veteran, Scott Kinder. Now, our guest, Heather, was a military spouse and has worn many hats throughout her career. Honorably, she joined DOL Coach to apply her mission statement to serve others. In summary, Heather seeks to help others grow, both personally and professionally, and achieve their best self to make a positive impact on their respective communities. In the early hours of Christmas Eve 2007, Royal Marines Commando Mark Ormrod was out on a routine foot patrol in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan when he stepped on and triggered an Improvised Explosive Device. Thanks to the swift action of the men around him and the intervention of the Medical Emergency Response Team he was airlifted via helicopter to an emergency field hospital in a desperate attempt to try and save his life. An innovative and dangerous procedure carried out onboard a Chinook helicopter en route to the hospital did save his life. He woke up three days later in the UK in Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham: Both legs amputated above the knee and his right arm amputated above the elbow. He was the UK’s first triple amputee to survive the Afghanistan conflict. This is a revised version of a podcast from about a year ago. In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive marketplace, it is crucial for organizations to be flexible enough to change. This is true for the military and for the private sector. The military is in a constant state of change and their members learn to adapt easily. For the private sector, it's imperative to learn to adjust to change in order to remain profitable and up-to-speed. Scott Kinder and Mark McCowan join Robert Gowin and Mike Pritts to discuss the topic of adaptability and change within the military and the private sector.
