Welcome back to a new episode of Mentors4mil. We're happy that you're here. On this episode, Phil and Jared discuss several topics and answer your questions regarding the use of Psychedelics to help with post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries. Jared Rinehart is a former U.S. Marine as an infantryman from 2006 to 2011, and separated as a sergeant. In 2013, he became a contractor and protected a base in the southern province of Afghanistan where he saw a lot combat. Phil Sussman is a former U.S. Army cavalry and civil affairs officer who saw the trauma of war from his three deployments and he spent a total of 10 years in service. Both share their own personal experiences, the challenges of using psychedelics as part of the healing process and having to face their demons, how the process shouldn't be taken lightly, and how it's helped them in their healing journey. It's not the destination, it's part of the journey. The FDA designated MDMA and psilocybin as "breakthrough therapies" in 2017, which expedites the study and development of drugs that "may demonstrate substantial improvement over available therapy." The Veteran Affairs continues to research opportunities to aid in those struggling with PTSD. Please see our show disclaimer regarding this content. This episode and the second part are meant to share personal stories of two individuals and to describe/share treatments our veterans are seeking as part of their healing process. _______________ Please leave us a review on Apple/Spotify Podcasts: Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/mentors-for-military-podcast/id1072421783 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3w4RiZBxBS8EDy6cuOlbUl #traumaofwar #ptsd #Ayahuasca #mentors4mil #mentorsformilitary Mentors4mil Links: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/Mentors4mil Patreon Support: https://www.patreon.com/join/Mentors4mil Intro music "Long Way Down" by Silence & Light is used with permission.
