TGLC will always have a special place in my heart, but there is another team that has caught my attention this season and we have to talk about them. No, it is not another world's team. It is the medium youth level one Kitty Katz from Cheer Athletics Plano. I am a fan. I am obsessed. It's the whole institution that is Kitty Katz, including one of their coaches, Coach Cam. Do not overlook level one teams. Do not overlook youth level teams. That NCA jacket, that summit ring looks just as good on a level one finger as it does on a level five finger is all I'm going to say. I am vying for my spot to be an honorary kitty-kat. Whatever it takes. I feel like I have what it takes to be an honorary member of this team. Cam & I talk about the importance of the level one and two teams, and the importance of youth level athletes. I think that sometimes we get wrapped up in the big show and the allure of these advanced level teams that we forget about the foundation of these beginner level teams. We also talk about the parent coach relationship and the parent athlete relationship. When it comes to those younger athletes, I think a lot of times I get carried away with philosophies and advice about your athletes advocating for themselves and taking a quieter or more backseat role and letting her athletes do the pushing and your athletes do the talking. That isn't always possible when you have a six or seven year old athlete. So Cameron and I talk a little bit about strategy around how you can be advocating for your athlete when you're teaching them how to advocate for themselves or when they can't necessarily advocate for themselves at all. Super fun conversation. A lot of great information. Thank you, Coach Cameron. And I'm ready for my spot. I'm ready. Christopher Rausch has earned a reputation for straight talk, no-bullshit delivery, and a ‘No Excuses' philosophy and has become a passionate and outspoken advocate for living life and leading a ‘KICKASS' life. The key differentiator of Rausch's teachings can be articulated in his ‘no excuses' positioning. The average human being sells out to ‘excuses' as the reason for not experiencing the change that they advocate. When an individual or organization is undergoing any form of ‘transformative change', excuses become the acceptable norm. Given Rausch's life experience of pure ‘survival' he did not have the luxury of ‘excuses' which without a doubt has him be the most unparalleled teachers of our time in what it means to live and lead an ‘unstoppable' existence. As always this show is brought to you by Tribe and Purpose. Male pleasure is a great experience of a man's life, but it comes with many physical and emotional challenges. Cam Fraser, a men's sex coach, delves into the main man myths, intrigue, and advice for exploring men's body parts. If you want to learn about having healthy male pleasure, or just want sex to last longer, this episode is for you. Both men and women play important roles in keeping the society away from pointless criticisms. Cam, a men sex coach, shares his thoughts on the prevailing stereotyping and shaming on males. Most people are still stuck with the perception that a man will always say yes to sex or that every man watches porn offhandedly. These shallow viewpoints create a barrier to the full disclosure of numerous facts such as educational porn, men having sexuality concerns as well, different kinds of erection, high and low sex drives, and many more. Sadly though, men aren't given that much space for the mere acceptance of who they really are. Truth is there's more to being a man as there is to being a woman. Both men and women share a commonality but that doesn't mean we're all the same. That's a mindset all of us need to work on. Main Man Myths: Men are hypersexual and always say yes to sex. If a guy has an erection it means he is aroused. Ejaculation equals orgasm. Men have to be dominant, assertive, and aggressive. Step by step work exploring the parts of your body: Normalizing Male pleasure/Masturbation Prostate play or prostate stimulation Golden Nuggets From This Episode: ✨ “We can have an ejaculation without an orgasm and we can also have an orgasm without ejaculation.” ✨ “You're your best lover.” ✨ “Not all porn is bad. The topic around sex is often avoided and put on the backburner. Do you even know what your partner likes or dislikes? Is porn toxic? Did you know sex isn't just one-sided? Are you exchanging energy? Listen in and let's get uncomfortable! https://www.cam-fraser.com/ https://www.jonalcon.com/
A couple of years ago, Cam MacDougall went on an epic ride of 4,350km through the mountains of Banff all the way to Mexico in 30 days. The trail is called The Great Divide and it's one of the world's longest off-road mountain bike trails. Yet, this wasn't just a physical challenge for Cam, it was a practice in spirituality. Interview Host: Sachin Khona // November 2020 Listening time: 49 mins Cam MacDougall is an International High-Performance Coach based out of Toronto, CA and Bali, Indonesia. When talking to him, he naturally ebbs and flows between physical and mental practices that set him and the people he works with up for success - and it's a balance of both. In this episode: Dispelling and shedding the “bro” culture of fitness The importance of spiritual practice in physical fitness and Cam's One Mountain The power of mantras to fuel and guide you through challenging moments How your body has a “hidden code” that already knows what you need to do The importance of finding at least 5 minutes just for yourself a day How breath-work helps athletes achieve their goals Quotes 3:21 - “Really tapping into [the] powers that spirituality can give you, it's what conventional fitness seems to miss.” 10:08 - “To have people around you that believe in what you're doing and people that are going to take the torch when you can't carry it to let you recover, and then you take the torch when they can't carry it anymore is to really collaborate and do things as a unit.” 11:45 - I've always used mantras in fitness, especially when I'm going into something really challenging or even just trying to stay consistent. 12:54 - My one mountain right now is my spiritual practice. 14:34 - I'm a firm believer that your body holds all the codes to what you are to do and what you truly want to do, and your mind just complicates the shit out of everything.
