Cyberpunk is a hot genre these days, so we took a look back into the early 00's with the first 12 episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex! Afterwards, John geeked out over Mewtwo's anime return, Elvie's finally finishing her Jun Maeda checklist for The Day I Became a God, and Rose is still watching Traveling Witch Elaina for some reason. The opening theme to this episode is "Inner Universe" by Origa, while the ending song is "Lithium Flower" by Scott Matthew. This week, I had a positively scintillating chat with singer/songwriter Scott Matthew about his love for painter Vilhelm Hammershoi's work and his formative experiences with Morrissey's music. Did we talk about Morrissey's repellent political views? You bet we did! And if that's not enough excitement for you, I also talk a bit about the joy of discovering art as an adolescent. Sounds like a rockin' good time, wouldn't you say? Links: Scott Matthew Vilhelm Hammershoi Morrissey The Catcher In The Rye The Art Of Self Defense When They See Us

Vamos a escuchar temas de Sam Cardon & Kurt Bestor, Vangelis & Montserrat Caballé, Bernwald Koch, Joshua Redman & Brad Mehldau, Moon Ate The Dark, Madeleine Cocolas, Rodrigo Leão & Scott Matthew, Jean Michel Jarre & Tangerine Dream y Paul Mounsey. ¿Quieres hacer sugerencias o preguntar algo?: jaume@quedamosenhuesca.com

My Ain't No Big Thing radio show (http://djshmeejay.com/aint-no-big-thing-radio-show/), broadcast on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 9pm - 11pm (GMT) / 4pm - 6pm (EST) / 1pm - 3pm (PST) at http://boxfrequency.fm. This episode I host Brooklyn, New York based musician, producer, and dj Eugene Tambourine (https://soundcloud.com/eugene-tambourine). Eugene Tambourine is one of those rare DJs whose broad-ranging tastes can educate, transport, confuse, elate and inspire all at the same time. I first heard Eugene at the Seattle's Pony a couple of years back and i loved his energy. Along with spinning great sets, Eugene is also a very established musician and producer. His precisely crafted edits are bright and introspective while being very complimentary to the original version. He also recently toured the world with singer-songwriter Scott Matthew. You can find more of Eugene Tambourine here: https://soundcloud.com/eugene-tambourine http://www.mixcloud.com/meugenelemcio/ You can find a full track list over on my blog: http://djshmeejay.com/2015/02/16/eugene-tambourine-dj-shmeejay-aint-no-big-thing-radio-show-2015-02-15/ Next broadcast will be on March 1, 2015, featuring another guest that will be announced during the coming couple of weeks.
