Als 14 jähriger zieht Shahak mit seiner Familie von Israel nach Sachsen Anhalt, of all places. Ein spannender tragischer Werdegang, der den begnadeten Comedian Shahak Shapira hervorgebracht hat. Heute feiern wir ein jüdisch/christliches Podcast Weihnachten/Chanukah mit einer extra langen Folge BlumenHOHL. Ich spreche mit Shahak über seine Erfahrungen in Deutschland nach den Terroranschlägen des 7. Oktober in Israels. Und Shahak erzählt wie er als Comedian mit dem Thema umgegangen ist, als er einen Tag nach den furchtbaren Anschlägen, eine Comedy Show in Berlin hatte. Shahak Shapira ist 34 Jahre alt und von Beruf: sehr lustig. Sieben Mal pro Minute müssen die Leute lachen, sagt er, damit er in den legendären Comedy-Clubs von New York und L.A. auf die Bühne darf. Denn DAS ist sein großer Traum, darauf arbeitet er hin. Dabei geht's bei Shahak privat gar nicht immer so lustig zu. Bei ihm sei eine Depression diagnostiziert worden, hat er mir schon ganz früh in diesem Gespräch erzählt – und dass es ihn zugleich nerve, wenn Personen der Öffentlichkeit ihre Erkrankungen für Likes und Fame ausnutzen. Shahak arbeitet darauf hin, auch aus den schlimmsten Tragödien gute Punchlines zu machen, sagt er. Als in Israel geborener Jude macht er deshalb auch Witze über Nazis, Rassismus und den Holocaust und wird dafür regelmäßig von Tiktok und Co. abgestraft. Wir haben darüber gesprochen, wie abhängig Comedians heute von Algorithmen sind und warum Künstliche Intelligenz ihn manchmal für einen Rassisten hält. Außerdem ging es um Shahaks Großvater, Amitzur Shapira, der 1972 beim Olympia-Attentat in München von Terroristen ermordet wurde. Das Attentat jährt sich am 5. September zum 50. Die neuen Shows der Saison sind da! Kalle und Passmann haben Shapira Shapira geschaut, die neue Show von Shahak, na? Shapira. Mitten in der Nacht und sehr heimlich lief außerdem ein Show-Pilot, den das ZDF wohl nicht wichtig genug fand, um aus ihm eine richtige Show zu machen. Die Schaulustigen ahnen, wieso. Kalle hält eine monumentale Rede und fordert eine neue Ära der Bibelverfilmungen, und beide werden traurig beim Versuch, herauszufinden, wieso die Amazon-Produktion Hanna einfach keinen Spaß macht. Sie gehen den deutschen Filmpreis durch: Werk ohne Autor, Der goldene Handschuh, 25 km/h und Ballon. Ach, und NATÜRLICH haben Passmann und Kalle auch die neue Beyoncé-Doku "Homecoming" geschaut und herausgefunden, was das eigentlich tatsächlich ist.

Die meisten meiner Gäste haben mehr als einen Beruf – so auch Sharak Shapira. Er ist Autor, Comedian, Satiriker, Musiker, Werber, DJ und Internetmensch. Shahak weiß, wie er Aufmerksamkeit auf sich ziehen kann. Dass das nicht immer gut war, darüber sprechen wir im Podcast. Wir reden über seine Kindheit in Israel und seine nicht so tollen Teenager-Jahre in Laucha in Sachsen-Anhalt. 2015 wurde Shahak in der U-Bahn von Antisemiten verprügelt. Die Geschichte des damals unbekannten Israeli ging durch die Medien. Daraufhin hat er seine Lebensgeschichte in dem Buch „Das wird man ja wohl noch schreiben dürfen!: Wie ich der deutscheste Jude der Welt wurde.“ verarbeitet und schafft seitdem immer wieder virale Monster-Hits: Bestimmt kennt ihr den AfD-Weihnachtskalender aus dem letzten Jahr, den 90s BoilerRoom oder seinen Yolocaust, der von Millionen Menschen gesehen wurde. Welchen Einfluss Ablehnung, Außenseitertum und Gewalt auf seine Arbeit und auch seinen Erfolg haben, darüber sprechen wir ausführlich im Podcast. Ich versuche herauszufinden, wie sich Shahak seine Themen erarbeitet und denkt. Es dauert eine Weile, bis das Interview Fahrt aufnimmt aber dann kommt Shahak selbst in Fahrt und beweist, warum er so erfolgreich ist.
