"So Much (for) Stardust" not only marks Fall Out Boy's first album in 5 years, but also their return to Fueled By Ramen - released their debut album "Take This To Your Grave" 20(!) years ago. DOA (1949) D.O.A. is a 1950 American film noir directed by Rudolph Maté, starring Edmond O'Brien and Pamela Britton. It is considered a classic of the genre. DOA (1988) D.O.A. is a 1988 American neo-noir mystery thriller film and a remake of the 1950 film noir of the same name. While it shares the same premise, it has a different story and characters. The film was directed by Rocky Morton and Annabel Jankel, and scripted by Charles Edward Pogue. The writers of the original film, Russell Rouse and Clarence Greene, share story credit with Pogue. Back from the dead, we're talking about Fall Out Boy's Take This To Your Grave… The post WHINE & CHEESE 55: Fall Out Boy & The Mummy appeared first on Cinepunx.
In Jason Isbell's song, "The Life You Chose," he sings:"Are you living the life you chose?""Are you living the life that chose you?" My next guest proves that its possible to do both. From a small town in Iowa to the windy city of Chicago, Ryan Bakerink has established a great body of work as a sought after photographer. Many of his portraits of musical subjects capture the music industry during a special time in the early 2000's. One such photo is the iconic album cover of Fall Out Boy's "Take This To Your Grave." His subject matters are vast and expansive adding color in regards to social commentary and capturing time in a manner built especially for the sake of nostalgia and human interest. I first met Ryan in the eighth grade, and was honored to catch up with his journey now- and the six degrees of separation that come with those moments in time.www.ryanbakerink.com

On today's episode, I do a deep dive on the history and making of Fall Out Boy's debut record "Take This To Your Grave". We cover the making of the record. The demoing process leading up to the recording. We discuss the fact that Fall Out Boy had another release before TTTYG that they don't really acknowledge as being a proper release. It was surprising to learn just how dramatic the recording of this record was. I wasn't aware of how much Patrick and Pete fought over melodies and lyrics. Apparently, they agonized over words and phrases until they believed it was just right. We also have Sean O'Keefe to thank for the sound of the record. He also foot the bill for the studio time, so clearly he believed in Fall Out Boy. This is a pop punk staple, in my opinion. Every track is great, there isn't a single skippable song on it. The band has evolved greatly over the years, but I still reminisce fondly on their naïve first record full of fun, fast, upbeat pop punk songs. "To my favorite liar, to my favorite scar". I think everyone who's had their heart broken can relate to those lyrics. Take This to Your Grave is the debut studio album by American rock band Fall Out Boy, released on May 6, 2003, by Fueled by Ramen. Enjoy!
In our 19th episode we get back to our roots and spending a good chunk of time talking about some new music and artists we have discovered or have been listening to. We also drop a track from the band Sacanada Lake who also just released a new EP titled Always Away. Nick was gifted the wonderful record of Take This To Your Grave by the band Fall Out Boy while Rob faded away in the folk realm of You+Me and their debut album roseave. Also if you don't already be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter at everheardofpod.
In this Minisode Nick and Rob discuss the return of the HellWeekly Podcast, Nicks undying love for death metal, some new music and Rob's currently binge of 2000's emo. Also future disclaimer, Rob loses some pop punk points as he mentions Fall Out Boy's record Take This To Your Grave and credits the record as being a "Self Titled"(boo this man!)Also if you could replace any musician in any era, in any role, who would you replace and what would you do??If you don't already be sure to follow us on instagram and twitter at everheardofpod.
Do you remember when Pop Punk Voice was invented? That's right, it was on Fall Out Boy's 2003 album, Take This To Your Grave. All other members of the band are welcome to post. The fifth track on "Take This To Your Grave" is a reference to the movie "Space Camp", which James watched and briefly tells Erin and Tracy about in this episode. We recall the days of AOL Instant Messenger away messages (which was middle school for Tracy, and...somewhat after middle school for Erin and James #milleniolds), and Erin does a Google so Tracy doesn't have to dig out all her FOB liner notes. We're back with the second track from Take This To Your Grave, and a lyric that could be taken a few different ways but we choose to take it in the least problematic one, because we like to think that even in his youth and even in a less-woke time, our boys were good people who mostly weren't misogynists.
