Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to prove he's the best player in the world with the Greek national team, as Greece won four straight games to kick off the EuroBasket 2022 group stage and secure the top spot after a comeback win against Ukraine on Tuesday. Giannis dropped 41 points, the most scored in any EuroBasket game since Dirk Nowitzki scored 43 in 2001, in the latest big win after coming up huge in clutch wins over Croatia and Italy, and he and Greece are poised to make a deep run in the knockout phase. Ti Windisch and Rohan Katti recapped Greece's run so far and looked ahead to the teams they will likely play should they advance in the next round, including Luka Doncic's Slovenia and a rematch versus Nikola Jokic and Serbia. Ti and Rohan also examined Sandro Mamukelashvili and the Georgian team as they fight for the last spot in their group to move on, and debated if they'd be willing to trade Mamu for Tyler Dorsey after his great fit with Giannis for the Greek team was on full display in EuroBasket. Welcome back to your (almost) regularly scheduled program! The Outsiders return to the beginning of the week with this new episode. There was plenty to talk about so lets get into it. The episode started with a discussion about EuroBasket. Luka Doncic and Tyler Dorsey are the main Mavericks in action in Europe but there are plenty of NBA players in action so it has been an exciting affair. With rumors that the Mavericks may be interested in signing Dennis Schroder, it has been interesting to watch him lead Germany to an undefeated record as they go into their game against Slovenia. The Mavs executives stopped by to watch a Germany game already this week so they are clearly keeping an eye on him. Bibs ran through the full picture out in Europe and also talked about some dark horse free agents, After the EuroBasket talk, the boys talked briefly about the WNBA semifinals. The episode was recorded after the Aces and Storm overtime thriller so it was hard to do a basketball podcast without touching on it. In the middle of the episode, Bibs and Reese transitioned to the television talk. This week the topics were She-Hulk, The Boys: Diabolical, Workin Moms, and finally The Invitation.
