In Wingspan 1-5 players compete to attract birds to their wildlife reserves. Wingspan has been strongly praised for its artwork, its accurate portrayal of its bird habitats, and its gameplay. Over 200,000 copies of the game have been sold since its release in 2019. The game is currently rated as the 20th best game of all time on BoardGameGeek's database of over 18,000 games. Brendan is looking forward to the Oceania expansion, which includes birds from the Australasian region, including the 'Bin Chicken' - the Australian Ibis, which picks up discarded cards ie 'from the bin'! This game is great fun and relaxing to play, a visual feast, and Brendan give it an 8.6 out of 10. The desire to live your day with intention is easier said than done. What you need is having a presence with a purpose. There is a lot of talk about being present. In fact, you could say it's all the rage. But most of us are present with technology or interruptions. Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT We are only as present as the next person who grabs our attention first. The email that shows up on our phone. The text from your girlfriend. The screams of our children. Our day seems to always be putting the fires out. We're just refereeing the day. And yes, distractions will occur. But it's how we handle them when they arrive that determines whether we are responding versus reacting. Here we are. Another day in the game of life. Are you choosing presence or reaction? Are you getting wrapped up in all the stuff that keeps you from your goals? Or are you ready to wrap yourself up in presence? The K.I.S.S. ~ W.R.A.P. yourself up in presence! I was watching football. Yes! The college season is coming to a close. Thank goodness for Bowl games. But what caught my eye was the game between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. It was an incredible match between these two teams. Both had strong offenses and defenses. It came down to the last 45 seconds of the game. Now if you watched from the beginning, you could see the intensity and the passion of the players. They were not shopping for Christmas presents in their heads. They were not concerned about bills that are due. They weren't even thinking about how good they did or didn't look on TV. It was ALL about the one game; the next play, the next block, the next tackle, the next interception, the next down. Presence is the totality of awareness. Whether it's sitting in silence, being still in the moment, or responding with activity and vigor. Presence is the action that moves you forward in life. So invest with daily consistency, increase your effectiveness, and W.R.A.P. yourself up in presence. Wait - It's not about doing nothing, sitting around waiting. Waiting is an act of being still. You're calculated in what you do with the presence of mind to keep your heart and head in the game. Renew - Keep your dream alive in your heart. Don't put your dream on the back burner or left on paper or in the planner. You can't do it all now. But you can keep your dream alive; renew it in your heart. Awareness - Ready yourself. Be watchful and anticipate what's to come. Watch the doors open and even some close. Awareness keeps you alert and ready. Prepare - Take A.I.M. Planning is a good tool. So use it and take the next step. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness. You are not going to win the game of life in one day. Prepare every day and take aim! You can choose to flounder from one thing to the next. You can make it your purpose to live based on everyone else's calendar and schedule. Or you can have presence with a purpose that continues to lead you on your journey. You're just not going to wake up letting life happen to you. You are going to be apart of the process, the purpose, your presence. Nothing is impossible! This is the day to rise up, to shine bright, and to be aware. "Let your presence be the essence of your day!" #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment TAKE A.I.M. ~ Action Ignites Motivation - This is a complimentary (FREE) coaching call with me. Most of what you want in life is broken down into plans and how to get there. However, if all of your goals required presence over efficiency, how would you favor? Would you be able to meet your goals? Or would you be consumed by the to-dos and completing all the steps? Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT Being the last quarter of the year, this is the season for getting new calendars and planning out the remainder of the year with a preview glimpse into the new year. Planning is definitely beneficial. It allows you to see the overall process from point A to point B. But how much of your journey is lost in the process? When all you think about is performing the process, it's easy to leave behind the progression of the heart. Most of what you learn in meeting your goals is all about the efficiency not the effectiveness. Hurrying your achievements does not get you somewhere fast. It actually slows down the heart impressions of what matters. Have you ever thought about what you can learn by being present? It's okay if you haven't. It's not something we normally consider. Where have you ever seen in a planner, "What have you learn by being present?". You don't. And that changes today for you. As you begin to plan your climb to your goals and look at your to-do list, both daily and long-term, wrap it up good. The K.I.S.S. ~ Be present and W.R.A.P. it up good! If you get too caught up in the past, depression may own you. Or if you keep living for the future, anxiety may claim you. You want neither of these in your life. So invest with daily consistency, increase your effectiveness, and be present; W.R.A.P. it up good. Wait - It's not about doing nothing, sitting around waiting. Be present. Take those baby steps, the next steps. You're calculated in what you do with the presence of mind to keep your heart and head in the game. Renew - Keep your dream alive in your heart. Don't put your dream on the back burner or left on paper or in the planner. You can't do it all now. But you can keep your dream alive; renew it in your heart. Anticipate - Ready yourself. Be watchful of what's to come. Watch the doors open and even some close. Anticipation keeps you alert and ready. Prepare - Take A.I.M. Planning is a good tool. So use it and take aim! Presence adds to your efficiency. Don't leave the greatest gift of achievement on the table. "Be present. Be incredible. Darrin: [00:00:07] And so I'd like to ask you Damon Lupo what is the BIGGEST RISK? [00:00:13][5.7] Damion: [00:00:15] Avoiding risk is the BIGGEST RISK. I mean when you're when you're three you avoid, minimizing and transferring. And when I see avoiding risk people, in general, are taught, and we talked about helicopter parenting. People are taught to avoid risk. I have a painter who's a brilliant artist and he was avoiding risk of going out on its own and so he kept working at Costco to get health benefits at 22 years old. And I look at him and said What is wrong with you. You realize you can go buy insurance for your health. Like are you sick. I mean do you have some crazy disease. He said, No I just you know it's it's expensive. The problem is we make up these things in our brain. And so here's here's how you shift. You get educated. By with people that actually have an understanding and you learn by doing stuff. So there's there's ways you can you can learn. You can go out and just run into the street and say OK what's going to happen you're going to get run over. Or you can say OK I'm going to go look for a mentor that has a reputation maybe he's bald or Gray has been out there, and and get that person to help guide you and you take action. The key consistent thing here is the action you have to take action. There is no avoiding risk and playing it safe. You play it safe. We've all seen games basketball, football, anything. When a team starts playing not to lose to me that's avoiding risk. It's avoiding making a mistake. Guess what, they lose. Every time, they freaking lose. So that's what we're doing when we're avoiding risk. Risk. To me you did great. I learned something from my friend Robert Kiyosaki, when I was teaching with him recently, and he he changed my outlook on what wealth is. He said wealth is not it's not cash, not cash flow. I go Wait? It's not Cash flow? And I've said maybe it's not even one of those it's confidence. He said here's a wealth really as wealth is your collection of mistakes that you've made where you've learned because you've done something the more you do the wealth you you get. It doesn't matter whether you get it right or wrong. The fact that you did it and stub your toe and tripped and fell in the sand or whatever. And I said oh my gosh. That's why I feel so wealthy because I'm like the biggest f up ever! I'm out there stripping and stubbing my toe constantly. Most people are afraid and why, because of judgment. They don't want people to look at them like they're an idiot. We're all an idiot. We start off basically screaming because we have no idea what's going on popping out of our mama. And then we see we go about our lives trying to prevent anybody from looking at stupid. Well how else are we going to learn. That's how you learn by going out there. So the risk is in not taking any risk. And it's because we're afraid of the judgment in general. [00:00:15][0.0] [5.7]
WED 8/14 - Kevin Garnett invests in esports, PUBG Global Championship happening in Oakland in November. It is Wednesday my dudes, and Kevin Garnett was jumped into the esports boat, and PUBG’s Global Championship will air in Oakland coming in November. Let’s get it! What’s up my friends and welcome back to the UEG Podcast, it’s ya boi the Choice, your voice for esports. It’s basketball season! Wait… It’s esports season! Hold on… Noooo! Kevin Garnett is just investing in Triumph Esports. Esports Observer reports; “15-time NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett is investing in full-service esports company Triumph Esports through his event management and production company, Big Ticket Sports LLC.” Plans with Triumph are to bring esports to “Hoop It Up”, Big Ticket Sport’s 3 on 3 basketball tour. Garnett states, “Our relationship with Triumph Esports is a natural fit as we look to showcase and elevate shared lifestyle experiences through competition, content, and live events. Our vision is to create unique experiences that impact our fans across a variety of passion points.” This will be Garnett’s first time in the esports scene, but he plans to bring together music, esports, and an urban lifestyle together for up coming events. Sign me up! I’d go to an event like this in a heartbeat. Good on Kevin for seeing potential. Earlier games leading up to the Championship will be held at the OGN Super Arena in Los Angeles. Winner’s prize pool starts at $2 million, but will increase with the purchase of in game items. Definitely taking a number from the Dota 2 crowd funding ideas, but a great idea none the less. I feel like it really gets people engaged with the top professional play, and I’m really hoping for the best on this tournament.
