"Respect isn't earned from self-sacrifice. It is learned through self-respect." Genuine respect - both from yourself and others - begins with honoring your own worth first. Respect yourself first; everything else is attracted to that strength. CHALLENGE: "What is one small choice I can make today -- when no one else is watching -- that strengthens the evidence of my self-respect?"
You're Grinding. You're Hustling. But You're Still STUCK. If you're doing everything and still not seeing your business grow, YOU'RE the bottleneck. In this raw and real episode of Harder Than Life, Kelly Siegel pulls back the curtain on what's holding so many entrepreneurs back: ego, chaos, and trying to do it all alone. If you want to scale, you need to build a business that runs without you. Period. In this episode, you'll discover: ✅ Why your hustle is actually hurting your business ✅ The critical systems every leader MUST have in place ✅ How to delegate the right way (without micromanaging or losing control) ✅ Kelly's powerful “1-3-1” strategy to stop putting out fires and start building leaders ✅ The mindset shift that turns a solo act into a scalable machine If you don't create structure, you'll create stress. And if you're not growing, you're dying.
Are you living in freedom—or are you a slave to something unseen? In today's Rise Up, Fr. Jonathan Meyer explores Jesus' powerful words in John 8: “Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin… but if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” From Exodus 90 to the daily battles we face in Lent and life, this reflection reminds us that God made us for freedom. Whatever chains you're carrying—whether it's technology, food, comparison, or sin—Jesus wants to break them. Don't give up. The promised land is real. Freedom is possible. And you are not alone.
If YOU don't respect yourself, NO ONE else will. For too long, I let people take advantage of me, cross my boundaries, and dictate my worth. But here's the truth: The way people treat you is a REFLECTION of what you ALLOW. In this episode of Harder Than Life, I'm breaking down exactly what it takes to stop being a doormat, take back your power, and command the respect you deserve—in business, relationships, and life. Inside this episode, you'll learn: ✅ The painful lessons that forced me to stand up for myself ✅ How fear of confrontation is keeping you stuck ✅ The game-changing mindset shift that makes self-respect effortless ✅ Why setting boundaries actually makes people respect you MORE ✅ Simple, no-BS strategies to stop people-pleasing and start owning your worth

What does it truly mean to consecrate yourself in today's world? It's a word that might seem ancient, but its significance is just as powerful now as it was in biblical times. In this video, we explore the biblical call to be set apart, looking at the story of Samson and the powerful instructions from Joshua 3:5 and Joshua 7—where God promises to do amazing things, but only after His people consecrate themselves. But here's the twist: Consecration isn't about doing more—it's about doing less. It's about removing what stands between you and God so that He can move in your life. Are there things holding you back from experiencing God's power? Let's dive into this life-changing principle and discover how we can truly live set apart for God's purpose.

Introduction: Our Need for ConnectionHumans are wired for connection—it's how we thrive.Illustration: Harlow monkey study – Demonstrates that emotional comfort is more crucial than physical needs. We naturally transition through stages of dependence:Completely dependent → Somewhat dependent → Highly independent → Interdependent → DependentConnecting with others is often the hardest, especially as we get older.Key Point: Conflict is not a sign of dysfunction; it's an opportunity for growth in compassion, empathy, and understanding.Understanding Conflict Through ScriptureLuke 17:1-5 (NIV):Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,' you must forgive them.”The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”Key Takeaways from Luke 17:Expect Offense: Conflict and offenses will happen—it's a part of life.Avoid Living in Offense: Don't dwell on it or let resentment build.Rebuke and Forgive: We are called to address issues and extend forgiveness.Faith is Required: The disciples' response shows that forgiveness requires a heart transformed by faith.Dealing with Offense and ConflictGreek Insight – "Skandalon":The word “offense” (Greek: Skandalon) refers to a trap or stumbling block. In the Bible, skandalon can be positive (offense of the gospel) or negative (causing others to stumble).Ways People Cause Offense:False counselLeading others into deliberate sinGossip, slander, and false accusationsApplication from Luke 17:3:“Watch yourselves” – Take responsibility for your actions and responses.Address conflict with grace and truth, offering opportunities for repentance and healing.Forgiveness as a Spiritual DisciplineLuke 17:4-5:Jesus calls us to forgive repeatedly, even when offenses happen multiple times a day.The apostles ask for greater faith, recognizing the challenge of radical forgiveness.Ephesians 4:32 (NIV):"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."Key Point: Unforgiveness is more damaging to us than to those who hurt us. It keeps us in spiritual darkness and hinders our growth.Practical Steps to Becoming UnoffendableLuke 17:6 (NIV):“He replied, ‘If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it will obey you.'”Steps to Overcoming Offense:Expect Offense: Don't be surprised when conflict arises.Address Offense: Speak truth in love rather than resorting to silence or violence.Forgive Often: Practice ongoing forgiveness as an act of obedience and faith.Choose Interdependence: Healthy relationships thrive on mutual respect and grace.Take Small Steps: Even the smallest act of forgiveness can create lasting transformation.1 John 2:9-11 (NIV):9. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.10. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.11. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going because the darkness has blinded them.Challenge: What small action can you take today to live in the light and embrace forgiveness?

Celebrating is momentary fun, but HOPE is what's needed to carry us over the long haul Life without genuine HOPE breaks us on the inside and on the outside The holidays don't magically fix things…The holidays magnify what's already true Christmas is not about creating the impossible…it's about celebrating an incredible promise kept The Promise – A Savior - Genesis 3:15 (He will crush head/strike heel) - Genesis 12:3 (all peoples will be blessed) - Genesis 49:10 (scepter…from Judah) - Psalm 22:16-18 (pierced hands/feet – cast lots) - Isaiah 7:14 (the virgin will give birth) - Isaiah 9:1-2 (Galilee – a light in the dark) - Isaiah 9:6-7 (Wonderful Counselor/Prince of Peace…) - Isaiah 53:3-12 (our iniquity was laid upon Him) The first Christmas is the historical fact that proves God keeps His promises! The same God who personally showed up in a manger…Is coming back as a King and will fix all that is broken! At this time a man named Simeon was living in Jerusalem. Simeon was a good man. He loved God and was waiting for him to save the people of Israel. God's Spirit came to him and told him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Messiah. - Luke 2:25-28 When Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple to do what the Law of Moses says should be done for a new baby, the Spirit told Simeon to go into the temple. Simeon took the child in his arms and gave thanks to God… - Luke 2:25-28 Anna, a prophet, was also there. She was a descendant of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher. She was now very old. Her husband had died seven years after they were married, and she had been a widow for 84 years. - Luke 2:36-38 She came along just as Simeon was talking with Mary and Joseph, and she also began thanking God and telling everyone in Jerusalem who had been awaiting the coming of the Savior that the Messiah had finally arrived. - Luke 2:36-38 - God loves us so much that He personally shows up - We are loved despite our flaws and failures - God is both faithful and able to fix what we can't Christmas provides an unstoppable hope that fuels peace, joy, and love even in a busted and broken world! CHALLENGE: What are you putting your hope in this holiday season?

The Power of Authentic Content Creation In this episode of the Audacious Mamas show, I discuss the importance of authenticity in content creation. In a digital world filled with templated and over-edited content, being genuine and human is what truly connects with audiences. I share my personal experience with AI tools and belief that while these tools can be helpful, it's the unpolished, human moments that resonate most with viewers. This episode encourages content creators and business owners to focus on being themselves rather than adhering to rigid templates, as authenticity can be a 'scroll stopper' in a world of artificial perfection. You're the brand and the voice, not AI. NOTES: So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33 (NLT) THE COMMAND: Husbands LOVE your wife. Husbands: Love your wives through SACRIFICE. Husbands: Love your wives by OVERLOOKING FAULTS. Husbands: Love your wives by PRIORITIZING HER WELLBEING. THE COMMAND: Wives RESPECT your husband. Wives: Respect your husband's LEADERSHIP. Wives: Respect your husband's NEEDS. Wives: Respect your husband by FORGIVING mistakes and being PATIENT with him. BOTTOM LINE: Your marriage will be as good as BOTH of you WANT it to be. THE CHALLENGE: What is ONE need I can meet this week?
Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don't really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman's labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11 (NLT) The return of Christ isn't a source of APPREHENSION, but a cause for ANTICIPATION. HOW CAN WE LIVE A READY LIFE? BE PREPARED STAY ALERT ASK: AM I READY? BOTTOM LINE: Deal with what's WITHIN to prepare for the END. THE CHALLENGE: What needs to be made RIGHT?
A healthy atmosphere in a home starts with us, and we can shift it starting today. With different seasons, comes many changes inside our home. When we pause and slow down, we can keep a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere inside our home, so that everyone connects better and wants to be home. We have to first actually spend time at home, slow down, and let go of the pressures to always be doing something. Challenge: What are some changes you can make in your home this week?
23_03_30 -Ep.305 - Run With Horses Podcast – Multiplication in the Essential Church Podcast: rwh.podbean.com Website: www.runwithhorses.net Youtube: https://youtube.com/@rwhpodcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RWHpodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rwh_podcast Twitter: https://twitter.com/RWH_podcast Go forth and multiply! It is the last command that Jesus left with His disciples and one of the main concerns of the church today. Welcome to Run With Horses! My name is Norman and my goal is to help you thrive as a follower of Jesus. The spiritual life is both incredibly simple and potentially the most difficult part of your life. God invites you to live intentionally and on His mission. It's very cool that we can do that together! Last week we looked at maturity the essential church. The main point is that we have to be changing if we are maturing and becoming more like Jesus. He is working a wonderful transformation in our lives. Quick review: MY WORKING DEFINITION OF CHURCH A CHURCH is a group of Jesus' disciples who worship Him in spirit and truth, humbly offering their lives as living sacrifices, together living out the mission of Jesus as His witnesses to the world, by sharing the gospel and making disciples through teaching obedience to His commands as they edify and equip others to join them on His mission. It is my view that this process embracing the mission of Jesus and becoming a disciple maker is an important part of how God transforms you. We started session one with the topic SEEDS: What's our Disciple Making DNA? Matthew 4:19: "Follow me," Jesus declared, "and I will make you fishers of men." Jesus doesn't just call disciples, He equips them to make more disciples. We moved on to session two with the topic TREES: What is your vision of Maturity? Hebrews 5:11-14 11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. Stages of Spiritual Growth – Dead, Infant, Child, Young Adult, Parents, Grandparents And Today we are ready for Session 3: Forests: How Do We Multiply? Big Idea: Multiplication is the result of putting disciple making into practice. Disciple making is contagious! As we mature as disciple makers, we equip others to do the same, resulting in a multiplication effect: the growth of the local church and planting new churches near and far. **** Starting an Evangelistic Bible Study Make a list and pray for it Make your list of who you want to talk with and pray for them Find a partner and make a plan Try to find a partner to do this with, and make a plan for the next few steps Schedule it and reach out to people Come up with a schedule for your meet-ups, make contacts with people using the conversations checklist and invite them to the meetup. Start meeting and improve it over time Start meeting and keep it going, improving what you started and making it better. It doesn't need to be perfect right away–or ever really! Be faithful and try to be fruitful Just faithfully keep meeting with people and having conversations, and pray that there is fruit of people growing closer to Jesus. Your job is faithfulness and intending to be fruitful, but God provides the fruit. Be consistent Consistently keep having intentional conversations and a regularly scheduled and communicated meeting, and that consistency will over time be part of your success. 6 Questions for Leading a Bible Study THANKS - What are you thankful for? NOTES: A proper perspective on DEATH is the key to true LIFE. These are the words of the Teacher, King David's son, who ruled in Jerusalem. “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!” Ecclesiastes 1:1–2 (NLT) Truth #1: Creation is chasing its TAIL. We don't remember what happened in the past, and in future generations, no one will remember what we are doing now. Ecclesiastes 1:11 (NLT) Truth #2: We are chasing the WIND I said to myself, “Look, I am wiser than any of the kings who ruled in Jerusalem before me. I have greater wisdom and knowledge than any of them.” So I set out to learn everything from wisdom to madness and folly. But I learned firsthand that pursuing all this is like chasing the wind. Ecclesiastes 1:16–17 (NLT) That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad. Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 (NLT) HOW SHOULD WE LIVE? Fear God and OBEY his commands. BOTTOM LINE: A proper perspective on DEATH is the key to true LIFE. THE CHALLENGE: What needs to be made right TODAY?
Maybe, maybe not, but I definitely feel that I have my own secret weapons that are my keys to a better life. I make these 6 simple choices every day and I can honestly say it has changed my life, my relationships, and my confidence in myself and my choices. Challenge: What small habit or choice could you add or change this week? Quote: Change your habits, change your life.
NOTES: God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love — not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:9–10 (NLT) WE ARE LOVED BY GOD Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 (NLT) Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:11-12 (NLT) WE ARE LOVED BY GOD AND CALLED TO LOVE OTHERS. HOW DO WE DO THIS? Be Mindful Be Grace-FULL Be Self-Giving BOTTOM LINE: As I have BEEN loved, so I WILL love. THE CHALLENGE: What does love REQUIRE of me?
Let's talk about the middle zone. You are more likely to stick to something that is not extreme. Anything extreme isn't a sustainable lifestyle. We want a more enjoyable lifestyle, and it is possible with healthy, balanced choices. This is also a perspective and a mindset. Let us find the goldilocks zone, as Jillian Michaels says. Challenge: What are you getting too much of and not enough of? Figure out where you could adjust and get a better balance. Resource: The 6 Keys, by Jillian Michaels
NOTES: Everything was created through him and for him. Colossians 1:15–16 (NLT) Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. Ephesians 1:11 (NLT) For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) WHY PURPOSE MATTERS Knowing your purpose gives MEANING to your life. Knowing your purpose SIMPLIFIES your life. Knowing your purpose FOCUSES your life. Knowing your purpose MOTIVATES your life. Knowing your purpose prepares you for ETERNITY. DETERMINING PURPOSE God has a purpose for you - but it's not ABOUT YOU. God has a purpose for you - and it's MOSTLY about what He's DOING IN YOU. God has a purpose for you - and if you SURRENDER to it, he will FULFILL it. WHY ARE WE HERE? To bring Him GLORY. For I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them… Isaiah 43:7 BOTTOM LINE: You cannot ARRIVE at your purpose if you BEGIN with yourself. THE CHALLENGE: What is ONE WAY you will GLORIFY GOD this week?

Join us in today's episode as Will Mcllroy sits with 17 year old student, Cole Farley. As we journey through Acts 19, we are faced with the reality that sometimes we want God's power without the relationship. We can be quick to prioritize anything and everything over time with Jesus. This Week's Challenge: What do I need to lay aside daily to make room for Jesus?
Legacy - Everyone will be remembered for something. Proverbs 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is the tree of life... 1. Intentionality - Begin with the end in mind."A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time." Eccl. 7:4 (NLT) "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12 An inheritance is what you leave to someone, a legacy is what you leave in someone. "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 (NIV) 2. Humility - Be unimpressed with yourself."Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) 3. Integrity - Be single-minded "The Lord detests people with crooked hearts, but he delights in those with integrity." Proverbs 11:20 (NLT) "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm." Proverbs 13:20 (NIV) Bottom Line: It's never too early to begin planning for your legacy. Challenge: What needs attention? What is lagging?
TWO MOTIVATIONS FOR BEING A LEADER: The REWARD-Based Leader: PERKS and POWER The RESPONSIBILITY-Based Leader: SERVE and CARE When you bend down to SERVE, God can lift you up to LEADE> Matthew 20:20-28 20 Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him. 21 “What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.” 22 “You don't know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” they answered. 23 Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.” 24 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers. 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” If you want to lead for any other reason than to SERVE OTHERS, you will never be a great leader. It's impossible to LEAD like Jesus if you won't SERVE like Jesus. TWO HINDRANCES TO OVERCOME: PRIDE: Self-PROMOTION FEAR: Self-PROTECTION 3 CHARACTERISTICS OF A SERVANT LEADER: A Servant-Leader works to make OTHERS look good. A Servant-Leader fins APPROVAL in one place: GOD. A Servant-Leader welcomes FEEDBACK because it helps them improve for the benefit of others. BOTTOM LINE: SERVING is not what I do, a SERVANT is who I am. THE CHALLENGE: What's one specific way you can start serving others on a regular basis?
One of a man's greatest fears is FAILURE. And his FAILURE is often his greatest REGRET. Just because you FAILED at something doesn't mean you're a FAILURE. Failure is an EVENT, never a PERSON. Judges 16:21-30 1 Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding grain in the prison. 22 But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved. The Death of Samson 23 Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.” 24 When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying, “Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.” 25 While they were in high spirits, they shouted, “Bring out Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he performed for them. When they stood him among the pillars, 26 Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them.” 27 Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. 28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.” 29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, 30 Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived. TWO RESPONSES TO FAILURE: •Regret: The Natural RESPONSE--Focuses on SHAME and BLAME. •REPENTANCE: The BEST response leads to CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION. REGRET focuses on your past. REPENTANCE moves you toward your future. People have UPHILL hopes and DOWNHILL habits. BOTTOM LINE: Your FAILURES won't define you, how you RESPOND to them will. THE CHALLENGE: What's UPHILL that you need to FIGHT for?
Fear is the story you've told yourself that has prevented you from running after what you want. But how do you overcome that and lean into ambition? Big or small - ambition is something that drives us all. Whether it drives us to fear or motivates us to run after it harder!Reflection questions + Challenge: What do you think of when you think of ambition? What are some goals and ambitions that you have for your life? If you don't have any - start today! Is there some goal/ambition in your life - that you're scared to pursue? What fear is keeping you from doing so? Identify your core fear when it comes to what keeps you from pursuing your passion or dream. When you name what it is - you can then begin the process of taking small steps to overcome the fear and run towards your passions/dreams/goals!
Names are important and they have meaning. Looking at some of the names of God and where they come from, helps us to better understand our relationship with him. Do you have a favorite name for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? When you pray what name do you pray to? Is it always the same one for every prayer, and in every moment? God's multiple names shows us that he has a name for every season we are in, showing that he is always present, no matter what we are going through. Challenge What name do you pick for yourself, and what do you want your name to mean? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mensalliancetribe/support
